If one truly wishes to use aluminum/Ti stems is there any reason not to use a thread locker like Loctite Blue or better yet Purple (222). It seems with ORings and Teflon tape the stem still loosens after a few rounds of throwing. With some thread locker you have a real aversion to release from the vibrations of a dart landing.

Worst case you have to remove it. With blue you'll surely need a tool to remove the shaft. Purple could be undone by hand, especially with shafts that have the hole through them to tighten with another dart.

I have this one and I'm happy with it. It works for one set of darts and some extra flights and shafts. I saw a comment that if you have really long barrels and shafts then they won't fit but I've never had a set up that hasn't fit. Currently using 52 mm McKicks with 41 mm intermediate shafts and there's plenty of space for longer shafts.

<sunglasses warning> Here they are again in all their original majesty! This is how I threw them for some time.

I make no apologies!

Jealous much, everyone?!?! You don't have to be! It looks like a fairly similar dart is still sold.

Story time:
I liked one cat. His name was Mo and he was a bad ass cat. My sister brought him home from HS as a kitten than proceded to step on him the same day shattering his hip. The vet pinned his hip with a couple of t-pins. I have no idea what that cost my parents in 1975. It couldn't have been cheap.
My friends were totally scared of him. He would come up and rub their legs on the front porch and purr when they petted him. Then turn around and attack them if they didn't let him in the front door. Mo took on squirrels and won. Leaving their bodies on the front sidewalk. No wildlife was safe.
His biggest claim to fame was he's probably the only cat in the city to have been maced by the mailman. Twice. Our mailbox was in the wall of the front porch which had bushes right up to the steps. Mo would stalk you from the bushes and attack your feet as you passed through. He did the same thing from under the ottoman first thing in the morning. The mailman just didn't have the sense of humor that we did about it.
Mo was scared of garbage trucks though. One year, while we were packing up to leave a campground, one came through to pick up the trash. Mo was gone in a flash trailing 25 feet of rope. it took us an hour to track him down deep in the woods. He was wailing away complaining because his rope was stuck in a pine tree.
Mo had lived a long and eventful life when he passed away in 1994 at the age of 19.
