I bought this years ago from ThinkGeek, but don’t see it anymore on their site. It doesn’t make a very good coffee cup but I like using it on my desk to hold my office knick knacks.

why not a hand held wire cutter like this: https://www.amazon.com/Westmark-Germany-Stainless-Cheese-Adjustable/dp/B000VJ81QK/ usually much easier then a knife (less effort required and more even slice)
I own one of that design. It would be much better without the top flat, which gets in the way and fails to make the holder any more aesthetically pleasing. It's not as if it hides the fact you have toilet paper there, and the flap serves no functional purpose.
It's otherwise nice, a cinch to replace a roll. $14 on Amazon.
