>Do you cook for a living already?
No, I don't. I just like trying new recipes and experimenting.
On my most recent Skyrim play through I have been noticing more the food/cooking element in the game, which I usually ignore (unless I'm dying and need to scarf down a dozen wheels of cheese). Most of the foods are things that already exist in real life (like beef stew or garlic bread), but some things would take more experimenting. Either way, eating like in Skyrim appeals to me (My stomach belongs to the Nords).
My brother, who is more of a nerd than I am, has actually tried making his own mead and I know there are books on the subject. So that shouldn't be too difficult to try.
A number of the alchemy ingredients have real life equivalents too, but obviously it would be too dangerous (and stupid) to try to reproduce those recipes! (Also, where would one even find Vampire Dust or Giant's Toe?!)
>I love the way kitchens are set up in Skyrim. The way they have organic spices hanging up to dry, and barrels full of grain, etc. I would love to have the same set-up in my kitchen.
Ditto. I'm not sure it would be the more ideal storage for some foods, but I love the thatched cottage look of some Skyrim homes.
On a similar note, and not entirely related to Skyrim, during Witcher III I entered one of the homes in Oxenfurt and immediately fell in love with the style and decor. I really wish Skyrim had more homes like that in it. The exterior is very Tudor-esque, but the interior would not be out of place in Skyrim.
If you want to play all the games, start with Morrowind, then Oblivion, then Skyrim. It's harder to go back once you've played a newer game.
You can get the anthology for $30 http://smile.amazon.com/Elder-Scrolls-Anthology-Pc/dp/B00E9I1FPI/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1426092746&sr=8-1&keywords=elder+scrolls+complete
I definitely wouldn't buy any of the games from Steam unless they're on sale.
Here you go, my good sir:
https://www.amazon.com/Elder-Scrolls-IV-Oblivion-Game-Playstation/dp/B005FDUSTA/ref=sr_1_4?ie=UTF8&qid=1486737273&sr=8-4&keywords=oblivion&th=1
And it looks like the price went down a bit as well.
https://www.amazon.com/Redguard-Elder-Scrolls-Adventures-PC/dp/B00002S85F?keywords=elder+scrolls+redguard&qid=1535907779&sr=8-1-fkmrnull&ref=mp_s_a_1_fkmrnull_1 , it’s $45 without shipping, but it’s better than others I could find. If you have any local game stores, or even a GameStop or something, there’s a tiny chance you could find one there.
It's only recently been released. I don't know if Reddit auto blocks links, but here is the link to the Amazon page for the cookbook. I hope you get it and try it out! https://www.amazon.com/Elder-Scrolls-Official-Cookbook/dp/1683833988/ref=sr_1_1_sspa?crid=2OA29GTT0DPJ5&keywords=elder+scrolls+cookbook&qid=1556507736&s=gateway&sprefix=elder+scrol%2Caps%2C149&sr=8-1-spons&psc=1
Might I recommend this for that sandy va-jay-jay of yours: Vagisil Anti-Itch Creme, Maximum Strength, 1-Ounce (Pack of 4) - Packaging May Vary https://www.amazon.com/dp/B001G7QR08/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_Y5PGxbQ9ESRJ9
They're free on the site, but if you want to play without DosBox, there's always this.
https://www.amazon.com/Elder-Scrolls-Anthology-pc/dp/B00E9I1FPI
They also released a physical collection of select titles, but its a lot of really good picks.
https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/1783293233/
A better alternative to this, is to grab a physical copy of Skyrim LE from a local store that still has old copies of this in stock.
Or you can get it from Amazon for under $25
https://www.amazon.com/Elder-Scrolls-Skyrim-Legendary-Game/dp/B00CJ8X24C/
Well, the Very Special Edition is a real thing.... not much help in terms of music though. :P
Better yet, they're releasing a new Prima Guidebook for it.
I myself ordered the Collector's Edition yesterday, expecting it to be in tomorrow :D

Does she like reading? If you search "tales of Tamriel" on Amazon, you'll get a series of books that are hard copies of all in-game books released so far: http://www.amazon.co.uk/The-Elder-Scrolls-Online-Tamriel/dp/1783293179
if you go one amazon there are three volumes of books on Skyrim. The first book contains all the books found in game. It's not available for kindle, but might be worth checking out: https://www.amazon.com/Elder-Scrolls-Skyrim-Library-Histories/dp/1783293195/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1500991304&sr=8-2&keywords=skyrim+book
How is it ridiculous? Morrowind GoTY is $20 on Steam, Oblivion GoTY Deluxe is $25, and Skyrim Legendary Edition is $40. That all adds up to $85 and the one on Amazon is only $80 with free shipping.
You mean these?
https://www.amazon.com/Skyrim-Library-Volumes-III-Box/dp/1783293233
https://www.amazon.com/Elder-Scrolls-Online-Volumes-Land/dp/1783293225
The Skyrim books are of course somewhat focused on the province of Skyrim, though there is information about Tamriel at large.
ESO takes place all over Tamriel, so the books have information about all the provinces.

different cover but the same author/chef
They're mostly Online-based, but I think there's a Skyrim one.
https://www.amazon.com/Elder-Scrolls-Online-Tales-Tamriel/dp/1783293179
I could have sworn I saw a morrowind books one once but maybe it was an unofficial app.
Here you go.
There are the skyrim and elder scrolls online lore books. They have in game books and history. I think there are 5 or so.
Here is one of them
https://www.amazon.com/Elder-Scrolls-Skyrim-Library-Histories/dp/1783293195?keywords=elder+scrolls+lore&qid=1536786881&sr=8-4&ref=mp_s_a_1_4

It's still on sale:
https://www.amazon.com/Elder-Scrolls-Anthology-Pc/dp/B00E9I1FPI?ie=UTF8&ref_=sr_1_1
You mean this? Cuz that's almost a year old.
Brother, you’re fucked. Never gonna find it. But if you do.....let me know.
Here’s a link to a dead amazon post from official Bethesda with some legit pictures to help identify a fake. pictures
This is the biggest journey you could go on outside of the elderscrolls games. Good luck adventurer.
Oblivion takes place in Cyrodil. I am sad to say Cyrodil isn't a good area to get lost in (PvP), and that it is a DLC area. Just get Oblivion and Skyrim, dude. Elder Scrolls is famous for being alone. Skyrim was the first to have useful companions, and Oblivion almost gives a feeling of isolation in a large world when you explore.
Also, ESO allows the player to start in an area of Morrowind, which is cool, but I recommend you play morrowind first. If you want PC -here
Oblivion and Skyrim can be found on the Xbox store, but can be bought from Gamestop for cheap. I recommend you get Legendary edition of Skyrim and GOTY edition of Oblivion. If you can get GOTY Deluxe, I reccomend it. You can find it on PC Here, but you want it on Xbox, which I can't really help with, because all of the DLC is still the release price.
If you don't care about shipping, skyrim, Oblivion. I tried looking for Morrowind, but some faggot is trying to sell it for 70 bucks. Just look through thrift stores
I'm assuming you have read the first book of the series The Infernal City. If not you will be very confused just jumping into the second book
