Our go-to is plain ol' Astroglide but when we're prepared to have extra fun we reach for J-Lube. Astroglide works nearly as well, but the J-Lube lasts longer and I make it in a decent sized bowl so I can get it all over my hand instead of just a little drizzle.

You do have to mix it ahead of time. The easiest way is to pour a decent helping into some water and then boil it in the microwave (it'll foam).
