I like to use the Spigen tough armor with a tempered glass screen. I've had it like this for about two years now and have not damaged it. Spigen has a good reputation and I definitely recommend. The cases are pretty sleek normally (unlike the oversized otterboxes) and feel great in the hands. Linked below.

Awesome, good to hear! I found a [metallized] (http://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B00QU4NADY/ref=pd_aw_sbs_107_2?ie=UTF8&dpID=517QWm%2B7mOL&dpSrc=sims&preST=_AC_UL100_SR100%2C100_&refRID=0SCA4GMYYZ40ZXF43M70) version of it that looks pretty sweet, I think I'll get one of the two. Is it easy to pop on and off?

don't get the one off Amazon sold by samsung! There's mixed reviews and it didn't work for me. So I bought this one after a friend recommended for me and it works great

Like someone else said, my s6 came with one too. I lost it so I had to get another one.

Same thing happened to me last month. After months, the default cable was too bent and I had to put it in a really weird position to charge it and it would fast charge only a third of the time. You can't just use any cable either, as you need one that's able to fast charge with the default adapter.

I got this Anker cable from Amazon (looks like it's even on sale right now, it was about $8 when I bought it two weeks ago) and it's great. It charges fast, is super durable and doesn't tangle.

I have an S6. I installed Package Disabler Pro and the battery easily lasts a day. Google Now is enabled with voice activation.

I use Swiftkey as a replacement and much prefer it over the default.

One other problem I had was that text messages were waking up the lockscreen. Then pressure from my pocket would start doing whatever to the phone. A pincode would have corrected it, but I decided to go to Textra instead.

Now that I have PDP on the phone, I really love it. I picked up this case for it.

It sounds like you didn't have it positioned correctly. I HIGHLY recommend this charger, even over the Samsung one.

If your phone is positioned correctly, it flashes green. If not, it flashes red-green. This way, you know if your phone is charging or not.

Don't. I have one, and it's a great phone, no doubt. But wish I'd waited for S6 active or S7. Battery life with battery saving off is terrible, and performance with battery saving on is poor. S7 has bigger battery, removable storage and is waterproof.

But, if you must have S6 edge, get a case or bumper because if you manage to grip it without a case, you'll tap things you don't mean to tap... and you'll definitely drop it frequently.

Also, if you are in the car as much as me (ave. 60 miles a day) get a car charger with quick charge 2.0 because you'll need it. The QC 2.0 chargers are WAY cheaper than the Samsung Adaptive Fast Charging chargers and they do the same thing (this one is awesome https://amzn.com/B00LJT2EPK). YOU WILL NEED A FAST CHARGER ON HAND AT ALL TIMES if you use it without battery saving turned on... which you will because battery saver sucks.

Get at least the 64 gig because no SD...

I think that's it

I just got this case http://www.amazon.com/Speck-Products-CandyShell-Samsung-Galaxy/dp/B00U2WHRIE

It is supposed to have military grade drop protection which I think I just marketing but I hope it would be safe if I ever drop it.

I am thinking of getting a wireless charger but they seem expensive and most don't come with the wire

Yootech Wireless Charger... https://www.amazon.com/dp/B079KZ49PJ?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share

This is what I got, but anything that is Qi compatible will work. :)

I would say that the Spigen Neo Hybrid doesn't really get fingerprints on it. The plastic side doesn't get any and the TPU back won't get any due to its texture, but oils from your hand/scratching the back with your fingernails will leave a temporary mark (But I also never clean it). I've had it since I got the phone 6 months ago and it's held up well. I don't know how the version with the metal sides and different back will hold up though, I'm talking specifically about the one that is on that Amazon page. Also note that the MSRP is $35, not $64 on the Amazon page.

I have the EX.

The little lips on the back protect the camera when the phone is laying on a flat surface. In the past 6 months, I haven't had any issues with the phone collecting additional dust or anything around the edges.

It also works fine with my wireless charger.

The plug. I picked up a couple of these, they work fantastic - http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00OVD3FEU?psc=1&redirect=true&ref_=oh_aui_detailpage_o02_s00 The cables they come with are pretty crappy though, I use these monoprice cables - http://www.monoprice.com/product?c_id=103&cp_id=10303&cs_id=1030307&p_id=9965&seq=1&format=2 I haven't found better cables than these.

My phone crashed when I tried using an otg cable + SD card reader made for computers on it sooo your results may vary on that.

This is the first result I found in Amazon.

You might have some luck with this and a USB stick.

u/bontempstiger · 1 pointr/GalaxyS6

I use this one because it has wireless charging built in so I don't have to take it off at night before I go to bed. It does add some bulk but it's not too bad.

Tylt Case

u/HalfGingGhost · 1 pointr/GalaxyS6

I use this, just for the edge. It is a soft and flexible rubber.

u/_Mayhem_ · 1 pointr/GalaxyS6

I use the Alpatronix BX410 case, which has a built-in 3500mAh battery. $34 via Amazon.

I also have a shatterproof screen protector, but the case comes with a thin plastic one.

I noticed when I switched to my Anker PowerLine cable that the charger and cable stopped getting so hot when charging. Even though I'm still using the same Samsung Fast Charger.

But no, you don't need a Samsung cable. I can vouch for this one working well with my OEM Samsung charger block-thing.

If you need a wall charger block then get something that can put out at least 2 amps. If it puts out more, like 2.4, that's fine too.

I've been eyeing this up, but it has always been just out of my price range. It has however dropped quite a bit now.

It has Qi coils built in to wirelessly charge, and it has a case on the phone itself that you can slide out for NFC purchases
