I've always loved Spigen. I've got the Spigen Tough Armor in black. It looks great and protects my phone without getting in the way of the edge screen. Also, that kickstand is fucking amazingly useful. I use it all the time to watch videos or even to help take photos with a timer. I've also used it to prop my phone overlooking a pack-n-play so that we can use my phone as a baby monitor when traveling. It's got great protection, looks great, and actually makes the S7E easier to use.

Literally posted 6 hours ago but whtv
You may not be prone to dropping but this phone is super slippery, I'm the same way but its a $900 phone so i'm not taking any risks.

anyways

spigen neo hybrid if you dont want bulk but some protection

[amazon link] (https://www.amazon.ca/Spigen-Flexible-Protection-Reinforced-Samsung/dp/B01B1I6J0E/ref=sr_1_1?s=wireless&ie=UTF8&qid=1499313019&sr=1-1&keywords=spigen%2Bneo%2Bhybrid%2Bgalaxy%2Bs7&th=1)

spigen tough armour if you want real protection, also it feels like batsuit armour, with a manageable amount of bulk, sits nice in the hand

All of this stuff can be bought on Amazon. I just get pre-release for product testing/review purposes.. but Amazon is showing that it's available right now, I think?

Edit:

Looks like they have one for the matte version, too!

http://www.amazon.com/Shield%C2%AE-Matte-Replacements-Bubble-Free-Anti-Fingerprint/dp/B01CYRIJBI/ref=sr_1_11?s=wireless&ie=UTF8&qid=1458227243&sr=1-11&keywords=iq+shield+s7

I definitely prefer the matte over the clear. You also see less dust if you installed it poorly :)

u/IEatPizza · 1 pointr/GalaxyS7

I have had this after a few days of owning it, it's been over 6 months and it's holding great, it's starting to peel on the bottom left edge from taking it out of the case but I'm. Very happy with it! I got the matte version but I suggest anyone to buy the clear version. I got the back also, it must be flawless if I ever decide to remove them

u/newsjunkee · 3 pointsr/GalaxyS7

I am a huge Spigen fan, but I got the one you listed and I don't like it. It really looks rubbery and makes the phone look cheap. I truly love this Spigen case though. I bought a bunch of cases and now use it exclusively (I got the gold because my phone is gold)
http://www.amazon.com/dp/B01B1I6J0E/ref=twister_B01B297RG2?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1

I also like this one http://www.amazon.com/Spigen%C2%AE-Resilient-Ultimate-protection-impacts/dp/B01A7ICWTQ/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1463344407&sr=8-3&keywords=galaxy+s7+spigen+case

u/tresser · 1 pointr/GalaxyS7

i have two cases i got from this sub due to using a coupon code.

the first was the Spigen Neo Hybrid

http://smile.amazon.com/Spigen%C2%AE-Crystal-PREMIUM-Gunmetal-Premium/dp/B01AUORG7K

I think i got that one for $2 instead of the advertized $5 due to some pricing glitch.

It was fine but a little bulky. and the way the edges were cut, it wasn't as smooth feeling in the hand as the naked phone....which i get. you want protection. but i just felt like there could be something better. Also, it didnt work with my existing old Nexus 5 wireless charger, so that made me sad.

the other was an Anker Slim Shell i think was like 1 cent on prime.

http://smile.amazon.com/Anker-SlimShell-Galaxy-Ultra-Thin-Transparent/dp/B01C77U7QU

this is what i have currently on my phone. Gives me back the feel of my phone, works on my wireless charger. i'm happy with it.

u/BlankBB · 1 pointr/GalaxyS7

The issue with the iOttie is that it is not fast wireless charging, but they do have a new version out.

I replaced my iOttie https://www.amazon.com/iOttie-HLCRIO132-Wireless-Standard-Charger/dp/B00UXS7958/

with this one - dodocool Qi Wireless Charger 10W 3-coil Fast Wireless Charging Car Mount: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B06XD7WJDL/

The dodocool has a goofy name but works well. It is able to charge my phone while using Spotify and Google Maps at the same time. FYI Waze does seem to use a bit more juice than Google Maps.

Also, I like how it has the vent clip style mount included as I never have had any luck with the suction cup base mounts staying put after a hot day.

u/mattbuford · 2 pointsr/GalaxyS7

I have this and am reasonably happy with it:

https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00UXS7958

It isn't magnetic, but it is quick and easy to insert and remove. To put the phone, you simply push it against the back and the jaws snap shut. To remove it, you press on the right and left side bars sticking out, and that pushes the jaws open, which then lock.

With music playing via bluetooth and the screen on displaying Google Maps for navigation, charging is kind of a break-even thing. During the day, when auto-brightness is cranking the screen up, I slowly lose charge (like 1% per hour). At night, when the screen dims and Maps goes into night mode, I gain a few percent per hour.

Occasionally, when I leave my car in direct sun for long periods of time, I come back to find the suction has released and have to re-attach it, but this isn't a big deal.

It looks like the price has gone up. I paid $36 for it in August 2016.

u/fenderbiz · 1 pointr/GalaxyS7

I got the Tough Armor, but those look good as well. The kickstand on the Tough doesn't exactly look that sleek, but it's functional enough. I've had a few Diztronic cases in the past as well. Nice and simple.

u/TheMechagodzilla · 1 pointr/GalaxyS7

IMO the glass on the back is WAY more important to protect than the front. I know someone who dropped their S7E from hip-height in a parking lot when it was not in a case and the back glass shattered while the front stayed perfectly intact. I've used one of these cases with my S7E for about 9 months and haven't had any damage to my phone. However, YMMV. The case itself did wear to the point that the hard plastic rim fell off so I basically just have a flexible case. IMO you don't really need a tempered glass case since the front glass on the phone is a type of gorilla glass.

Do you keep keys in the same pocket/purse as the phone?

This worked for me. Don't know that the phone will still be waterproof, but replaced the glass and it almost looks like it never broke

Edit: forgot the price. Costs $8 with free prime shipping

u/rlstjohn · 2 pointsr/GalaxyS7

I have the Spigen Neo Hybrid Satin Silver Bumper style case. I had the same case on my S6 and loved it. It adds some extra grip on the back and isn't bulky. My only complaint is that the buttons are black and not silver like they were with the S6 case. I have a couple other cases I still need to try, but this has been the best for me so far.

u/Ryltarr · 1 pointr/GalaxyS7

Well, the original listing I bought it from is gone: [link] but it showed me a picture of a dog so I'm not upset.
However, it is very similar to [this one] (so similar I'm fairly confident they're the same product).

u/TheGreatIgneel · 2 pointsr/GalaxyS7

This is the case I use:
https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B01A7IDF3S/ref=mp_s_a_1_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1487822695&sr=8-3&pi=AC_SX236_SY340_QL65&keywords=s7+edge+spigen+clear+case
It's very slim and provides basic protection, which is enough for me (it has a small lip over the screen to protect it from drops). Spigen's cases have been working really well for me and haven't had a problem with them yet. However, if you want a little more protection, this could work as well:
https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B01A7IDKMO/ref=mp_s_a_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1487822868&sr=8-1&pi=AC_SX236_SY340_FMwebp_QL65&keywords=s7+edge+spigen+clear+case

u/kmhokies35 · 5 pointsr/GalaxyS7

I don't know if Samsung will fix it but I had this problem twice and got this replacement lens on Amazon for $7. Super easy to install, just search for a tutorial on YT. I remember reading something that said the lens shattering is a result of the waterproof seal creating too much pressure inside the phone but I could be wrong.

u/crux-of-the-biscuit · 2 pointsr/GalaxyS7

True that. I just settled with the Shield IQ LiquidSkin because I've heard the tempered glass never fit the S6E properly. The screen protector is nice and I can't even tell it's there. Would feel safer with tempered glass, however.

u/KidneyLand · 2 pointsr/GalaxyS7

I use this one from amFilm. It actually covers 95 percent of the entire screen and is case friendly. I mean I think it's fairly good coverage, it just can't cover the curved edges. I use it with my Spigen Neo Hybrid, so I get full protection screen protection with a combination of both. I just dropped mine recently at a hockey game and cracked it (Screen is okay). Just purchased a replacement.

I'd take pictures if I had a camera. But take a look at the Amazon reviews, there are pictures of the type of coverage you get.

u/g13nnz3p3da · 1 pointr/GalaxyS7

This is the one I use and it's awesome. I have a Spigen slim case on my S7E.

u/brunobits · 1 pointr/GalaxyS7

I've got a Galaxy S7 Case, Spigen® [Neo Hybrid Crystal] PREMIUM BUMPER [Gunmetal] Clear TPU / PC Frame Slim Dual Layer Premium Case for Samsung Galaxy S7 (2016) case I accidentially ordered instead of the one for the Edge, if anyone is willing to trade for an edge case that would be awesome.

u/TheHow7zer · 1 pointr/GalaxyS7

I bought this one from amfilm.
https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B01CDVZAH6/ref=ya_aw_oh_bia_dp?ie=UTF8&psc=1

They aren't perfect, they only adhere around the edges and it tends to reduce touch sensitivity around the edges, but it covered the whole thing and fits pretty well.

u/KruSion · 1 pointr/GalaxyS7

Allah yebarik feek.

Black. Mostly because I'm boring. But also, because it'll do like a contrast thing with the screen and stuff. Lastly, I'll probably put it in a protector anyway. So black phones tend to look better in those. I'm considering 3 cases for rigidity. But I also want to get pretty looking cases that I'll keep in my drawer and never use in my life.

The ones for rigidity are:
https://www.amazon.com/SUPCASE-Unicorn-Premium-Protective-Samsung/dp/B01BLF3OLO
https://www.amazon.com/Spigen%C2%AE-Resilient-Ultimate-protection-impacts/dp/B01A7IDHOU/ref=sr_1_6?ie=UTF8&qid=1467214812&sr=8-6&keywords=spigen+tough+armor+s7+edge
https://www.amazon.com/Spigen%C2%AE-PREMIUM-Premium-Protective-Samsung/dp/B01B1I6JWW

I think I saw some of the ones you showed me in the link in a local mall here. But I haven't seen them for the S7. Will prolly find them after some looking.
The ones I'm a bit more interested in are these weird animals with patterns and colors that illuminate in the dark. However, I only found those for the edge variant.

u/Iymala · 2 pointsr/GalaxyS7

I used these and they worked great. With a little persistence they stuck to the curve and overall were easy to put on and they are staying on without issue. :

I've got this one for $30 as well as this one for $20 off of Amazon. Both support adaptive fast charging.

u/ChickenMcTesticles · 2 pointsr/GalaxyS7

Love sipgen cases I have used them on my last 3 phones!

I bought 3 different sipgen cases for my S7E when they had their crazy sale. I have tried the:

u/namtaru_x · 2 pointsr/GalaxyS7

This is what I use, and it works great.

https://www.amazon.com/iOttie-HLCRIO132-Wireless-Standard-Charger/dp/B00UXS7958

Only caveats are if it's hot outside the phone can get SUPER hot. Generally I don't have any issues, but on 80*F+ days I usually unplug the charger.

Also, I don't expect the wireless charging to charge fast, so when I actually need fast charging I just move the cable from the dock to the phone.

These are issues with any wireless chargers, not just the iOttie.

u/NotYourAveragePerv · 1 pointr/GalaxyS7

No pink line for me but my camera glass broke too, this replacement seems to have worked easy and painless. I'm sure there are other brands, but this is the one i ordered.

Can't beat a $22 fast charger. They have a 3 coil version for $39ish, but this one does alright by me for now.

u/thecodemonk · 2 pointsr/GalaxyS7

I use this one and it works great.

u/bigpapa007 · 1 pointr/GalaxyS7

I use this case, i'm really happy with it. Its a Spigen.

I also just got an S7. I bought this case (https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01B1I6J0E/ref=cm_sw_r_sms_awd_d_pvumxb35CJM68) and have been happy with it. I also bought the Samsung Fast Wireless Charging Stand which is convenient.

u/raduque · 1 pointr/GalaxyS7

I have a scosche magnetic mount. It holds the phone with a case just fine even without the included metal. No issues. I have this charger. Works great.

u/Khord · 1 pointr/GalaxyS7

It's just the nature of it. Some cases are going to grip the curved edge more. Others, like snap on thin cases, do not grip the edge as much and are fine with this protector.

So my debate right now is to stick with this protector and a thin case, or get a protector that only rests on the flat area of the glass, and use the thicker cases.

These are the 3 Spigens I have, last 2 I believe are variants of yours, and the ones that peel up for me. First one is working with the IQ sheild.

IQ Shield

Just installed this yesterday. Even with the matte finish, you can hardly tell that it's on. Install was SUPER easy and it's 100% coverage. No problems putting my Spigen Tough Armor Case around it.

u/VersaceTupperware · 1 pointr/GalaxyS7

https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01CURN9UI/ref=oh_aui_search_detailpage?ie=UTF8&psc=1 this one, case friendly version. Feels very smooth still to this day. I had previously ordered a full cover matte version from Skinomi but I didn't like the material/how it looked and it was most definitely not case friendly

u/AlexusN · 2 pointsr/GalaxyS7

You can't use both - you either use that metal plate on the back OR the wireless charging. Metal completely blocks the electromagnetic field that current version of wireless charging uses.

If you really want to use the phone mounted somewhere on dashboard (which I personally never do) - you can try something like this instead of magnetic mounts:
https://www.amazon.com/iOttie-HLCRIO132-Wireless-Standard-Charger/dp/B00UXS7958

Or, like you said, just give up on wireless charging altogether.

u/CarnivalrejectQ · 2 pointsr/GalaxyS7

Just got this https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B01AUR1D58/ref=cm_cr_arp_mb_bdcrb_top?ie=UTF8 . Blue coral color to match my phone, reviews seem almost all positive which seems really rare for a case so I'm looking forward to it.

I just put this one on mine. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01BG2EJYS

It went on super easy. But the sides around the curved part didn't stay down at first. But I have this case on it https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01BLI4FOG which the front green part is actually a separate piece and it held the sides down while they set/dried.

No bubbles/dust specs etc. I do feel I lost some sensitivity though not much but once in awhile i have to swipe down a few times for the notification bar to come down. (Could also be me getting used to the phone also since I've had it for not even a week.)

Ringke Fusion. It served my Nexus 6 well since release. I expect the same on the S7E.

Flat or edge S7?

I use this on my S7 (non-edge). https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B01AIWCM8W/

Fits fine. Edges do not lift up. Covers the entire screen. Works with cases. Initially there was a band/line running straight across the short side of the screen about 1/3 of the way up from the bottom. The film's coating was uneven and streaky (the film looks like the a screen with screen burn in). It was noticeable when the phone screen is off. The visible banding/lines on the SP have greatly diminished after having the SP installed for a few days. Barely noticeable, now. If you wear polarized lens you see the banding, still annoying, but much more bearable.

u/xxgigavirusxx · 1 pointr/GalaxyS7

I ordered one Spigen's cases when they were on sale for 5 dollars. I just received it today and it is definitely going back, there is no way that this thing is authentic. On the website it states that their products come with a hologram and serial on the product, neither was included with mine. It also feels really really cheaply made.

I ordered:

u/zosis · 1 pointr/GalaxyS7

They could, if it takes that long to charge the S7E it likely is quite low power output. A lot of the ports in cars were designed for older phones or those with smaller batteris like the iPhone. Not really a lot you can do if that's the case and want to use that port. Car adapters aren't that much if you do need fast charging though.

I used the amFilm and I don't like it very much. I lose a lot of touch sensitivity especially around the edges. It also doesn't completely cover the whole screen so the edges is affected by that black border. I don't even know why the protector has black borders.
