If you are going to use long toys or the top is long, I find it helpful. I purchased a lube launcher. https://www.amazon.com/Cleanstream-AC221-XL-Lubricant-Launcher/dp/B008ASBIU0 and I am pleased. It gets it pretty deep so there seems less pain from the top hitting a dry spot. The downside is it puts a lot of lube inside. Can make things a bit messy.
It has to do with displacement. The penis entering you causes distention and bloating of the anal cavity which can feel painful. You probably have a shallow internal sphincter. You can try anal dilators which you can buy on Amazon for about $50. HERE is a lick. Maybe cheaper on Ebay. (Or search vaginal dilator, same thing). They get gradually thicker as they get longer and some guys find it easier to get pounded deeper after using them.
Try somethingike this. The attachmemts swap out for a regular shower head.
