Your major doesn't matter as much as you think. What matters are your extra-curriculars, awards and achievements, and most importantly, your ability to network.
Finance firms look for “culture fits”; in other words, students with high levels of cultural capital who would be able to work “on brand” with the firm. The goal is not to recruit talent based upon merit, but to recruit employees who can maintain a reputable, luxurious, and elite picture of the firm that they represent.

I just finished my freshman year and I'd recommend getting a Razor scooter. This is the type that I (and most other scooter riders on campus) own. It's not too expensive, although I got mine used from someone in Cambridge on Craigslist (not a bad idea to try looking). The thing with biking is that for the paths of most of the places you'll be going to/from freshman year, you either won't be allowed to bike or it will be inconvenient to do so. There's also the problem of theft that others have mentioned. With a scooter, you can easily carry it around (and put it in the back corner of lecture halls and stuff), and you'll be able to traverse sidewalks, yard pathways, as well as bike lanes.
