Haha everyone's suggesting a plant theme and I immediately thought of an ocean theme. I can't tell how green that tile is, but if you go for more 'sea green' and tie in some blue shades, I think you could easily get a boat/anchor printed shower curtain.

Or my mom found some cheerful brightly colored fish decorations for the walls and went for a fun-colored aquatic theme. I think that might work well, too!

Sandy beige towels would blend well (especially if you go with a beach theme), and of course navy or a green to match the tiles would be delightful.

Edit: I hate orange, but if you like it, a bright orange might complement those two colors as well? Or a bright yellow.

I'm really glad you linked the links and ideas. That art is a good example of how three pieces, presented well (framed, matted, good alignment/spacing) can really add to a room. And those storage cubes you can get at Walmart or Target (or your local equivalent) for cheap too.

> Also, you mentioned a coffee table but you linked something that Amazon says is a bench, I guess you just repurposed it instead?

Eh, bench style. Officially it is called the Nelson Platform Bench. It has been around for 70 years, but you wouldn't know it because it's just the kind of design that never goes out of style. Like Wayfarer sunglasses. That one link I posted is basically the same design, just with different legs.

While I'm on it, those Eiffel side chairs I linked to are almost as old, designed by Ray and Charles Eames, who are pretty famous in the mid-century modern style. Some models cost a pretty penny, but you can do a lot cheaper. You said you already had eating chairs, so maybe not these right away.

It sounds like a storage ottoman that can pull up to the couch may be more what you're after. Something like this or this?

This and this or this are other coffee table ideas with more storage. Apologies if Amazon does not ship to your area.

Hi! First I’m thinking one or two floating shelves above the sink that would match the one above the stove. Or a shelf/hook duo for pots and pans like this or this.

And for on top of the fridge maybe something like a singular drawer? There are a few options here. Although that might make it a bit stuffed. That space is super tricky! Maybe some basic racks ? Or no rack and you could put cereal, dry pasta, and other loose foods in some jars (like the ones already on your counter) and stick em up there, which would also free up that space on your counter for other things.

It’s a small space, but very cute!! Best of luck to you guys!!

Edit: formatting and more ideas

I'm late to the party, but I think this floating shelf would look great in the corner. Having them off the countertop will make it easier to clean, and you won't have to worry about water damaging wooden shelf legs.

With this in mind, I would try something like these sink shelves under each window, if you are planning to keep the plants in that area.

Awww! Show us the cat please! I have a dog that sheds like crazy too. This thing has worked wonderfully to quickly and easily de-fur my car and furniture: https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B001EYFQ28/ref=pd_aw_sim_121_3?ie=UTF8&psc=1&refRID=5A2748TFV9AY0Z9X88SH&dpPl=1&dpID=410YDlgrCiL

>Will definitely look into plants. Mostly want stuff I won't kill

Maybe something pretty and living-esque? you can't kill it. unless you forget to replace the batteries. and bonus, low-key lighting!

I was also going to suggest postcards, or images of things you love, like coffee or flowers or shoes - you can cut from magazines. Or pretty wrapping paper. You can also go weird and put in images of Barney the dinosaur or factory smokestacks (for example).

Or add your own art! If you are not even remotely crafty, Anybody can make sunprints!

I'd say light-coloured curtains or drapes for the side to establish that cinema/ theatre illusion. Dark window tint for the two small windows so you don't blind yourself when you want to watch TV in the morning and since you have speakers there, you don't want to draw blinds and knock things over.

Also, definitely invest in wire-management material. Drill some holes in your bookshelves, shove all the wires in a wire tube and stick it in the corner. The rest of your house is neat, the wires have to obey the law too. Something along the line of these:

You could try something similar to a stainless steel serving tray. They are usually smaller, and have a slight lip to help contain any spills from getting to the carpet.
Maybe something like this.

I’ve used both of these window films and liked them both. They are sticky, but easily removable.

What about something like this?

Or maybe you can run the hardware across the top of these two walls and install these doors:

If you don't want to spend money, you might be stuck with curtains.

Can you remove them all together or to be able to install curtain rods? If not, you could always buy short tension rods (like this) to hang curtains from behind the valence.

First, buy velcro cable ties like this and use them to fold the wires to their shortest. You probably want the large wire bundle end to be at the back of your PC or TV. Then get a cable hiding box like this to hide the strip. Toss the router in a basket with a lid and you should be set (get a plastic one if you're worried about fire).
