There is not an Aux port in the car, but there is an open slot on the underside of the radio that you can install an Aux cord or Bluetooth adapter in. The adapters can be bought for relatively cheap depending on options. I had one that was Bluetooth, Aux, and USB but just Aux would’ve worked just fine.

Once the adapter is installed, you can click that CD/Aux button and it’ll allow you to access the alternate input. Mine used to say “CD-C” when I would use the adapter input.

These adapters can be found all over. Just search on Google for a 2004-2005 Acura TSX/Honda Accord Euro aux adapter and you’ll find plenty of options.

Here is a video that is a guide for installing it, they also show a brand here but I know that brand is really expensive. Amazon has great options for way cheaper.

Here is an example of one from Amazon for $22 USD. It includes an Aux and USB input. They’re compatible with numerous Honda’s, so you’ll find plenty of options.

USB Aux Interface Adapter Charge Cable For Honda Accord Odyssey Civic City Fit https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07DNF9V79/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_5tAHDbCSS63W7

Good luck! It’s a super easy, cheap install. Feel free to shoot me a message with any questions, done this on a few cars!

Hey, no problems. Those are what I purchased, yes. Along with this wiring adapter (which is easier than easy to install and should be included with the purchase on Crutchfield).

Speakers from Amazon

Wiring adapter from Amazon

It all comes out to about the same price (about $5 cheaper on Amazon), but Amazon's got Prime shipping, so that's why I'd recommend going there.

Also it's worth noting that I had to send them back in because one of the speakers started to crackle, so watch out for that within the first couple weeks. I'll be buying them again though soon, since they sounded pretty good for the price.

Hope this helps.

I used to own a 9th gen sport and wanted to do the same upgrade as you. If you're willing to splice wires then you can purchase the touring headlights from college hills honda and do that for yourself. however, I'd recommend bulb swaps to all LED and keep the housing, any aftermarket housing imo looks cheap and ruins the aesthetic.

these are bulbs i'd recommend

I suggest replacing the entire auxiliary input assembly. It sounds like something has broken with yours.

Here's a link to a DIY video for replacing the part. I suggest watching the video all the way through once. The guy really butchered his dashboard to remove the old assembly. Rather than trying to pry it right out, I would remove the silver cover from the gear selector (I'm assuming you have an automatic) and work your way up the dashboard.

Also, here's a link to the part you'll need on Amazon. There are other vendors who may sell it cheaper. The part number is "39112-SNA-A01."

If possible, visit your dealership. If you're still under warranty, they might be able to do it for you for free, or at least help you get a discount on the part.

Good luck and feel free to ask if you have any questions!

special stuff. here is the kit
http://www.amazon.com/99-5000-Aerosol-Recharger-Filter-Service/dp/B00029WYEY/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1333468088&sr=8-1
that one looks like it has the spray oil, which is better than my pour on oil (much faster and harder to over do). just follow the instructions shouldnt be a problem.
the MAF is easy to locate, do a little reading on cleaning it first, and proceed with caution if you do. they're usually pretty expensive to replace.

I second the 40PSI tires, new plugs, wires, rotor, air filter, and maybe a few tanks of injector cleaner. Most is snake oil but this brand has some science and mechanic support http://www.amazon.com/Chevron-65740-Techron-Concentrate-Cleaner/dp/B00092893E

Edit: Oh - and play with lighter weight oils like 0w-30. Just watch to be sure it's not burning it too fast.

u/monstahtron · 1 pointr/Honda

I'll apply wax, let it dry, buff out by hand then a quick pass with this stuff.

https://www.amazon.com/Blue-Magic-730-6-Headlight-Sealer/dp/B0051PJWQW

Every now and then or whenever I feel like the shine has dulled down a bit I'll go over the bare headlight with some Plastx before applying the wax and sealant and I'm good as new again.

really? I don't need to have it repainted or anything? You're 100% sure clay bar will work? I need to find out what that is. And are you talking about something like this?

Bingo thats it! This is the one i bought and it works great, you can also route the xm radio through it. PAC AAI-HD3 14-Pin Satellite or Cd Changer Auxiliary Input for Honda/Acura 2003-2012 https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00H26468M/ref=cm_sw_r_other_awd_zXRNwbWCNJ317

Dont forget to buy a rca cable for the actual aux cord.

u/Iheartbaconz · 2 pointsr/Honda

Jesus, you went balls out. I was just going to use something like this: https://www.amazon.com/Blue-Magic-730-6-Headlight-Sealer/dp/B0051PJWQW

At this point i fucked up one of my headlights and like melted it sanding it with a disc that came in a restore kit. I donno wtf happened, but there are like burn marks in the drivers side. So it needs replaced anyways.

Shin-Etsu

Grease the felt channels that the sides of the window sit in. Clean them first.

It's not the motor and it's not the reglator unless it is noticable bent.

u/mcpusc · 1 pointr/Honda

shin-etsu silicone grease was the stuff. it helps.

ed: a little goes a long way.

u/truste · 1 pointr/Honda

I have one of these: http://www.amazon.com/Kinivo-BTC450-Bluetooth-Hands-Free-Input/dp/B009NLTW60

Works fantastic. I'm considering upgrading my HU to one with BT built in though since 8thcivic premium audio units are known to have faulty lights.

Metra 99-7803G Amazon link I had to cut out the center plastic support to clear room for it but nothing too extreme.

u/Dc2587 · 1 pointr/Honda

junkyard, or replace the stereo and use the HVAC dash kit like this...a little more expensive but keeps stock location of your radio. Also buy it through crutchfield youll get it at a reduced price with your stereo purchase.

When I was daily driving my Civic and going to community college I had a 2 way alarm, a steering wheel club, and a clutch lock. Car security is like dressing for cold weather, it's all about layers.

But like it was said before, the 01-05 Civic isn't heavily targeted by thieves.

u/fassaction · 1 pointr/Honda

Had the same issue with my 06 civic. You can buy replacement parts on Amazon. Took about 5 minutes to replace. It’s just a piece that plugs into a port.

u/calotron · 3 pointsr/Honda

Not standard no, but I think they make the car look a little more sporty.

Here's a link to the actual product on Amazon.

u/olympiabeer · 1 pointr/Honda

Found it! This comes with the cable that connects to the back of the radio, you'll just need an RCA to headphone jack cable to connect your device.

u/themaincop · 2 pointsr/Honda

Gotcha! Got a data plan on your phone? I use these two products in my '02 CR-V.

CD magnet mount: https://www.amazon.ca/gp/product/B016GNYZIC/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o04_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

Bluetooth receiver (with built in USB charger):

You don't really need a rear-view camera in a compact car.

Get a tube of ShinEtsu silicone for the rubber seals around the engine bay, trunk, and doors. I also lube up the seal around my engine air filter. A tube will last you a lifetime.

I hated how the yellow light from my halogens clashed with the white LED fogs. Decided to try some LEDs I found on Amazon: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00VNBDWPK/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_Cxv.ybHXZNM1P

They work great in the projectors and produce plenty of light on the road compared with the halogens. They also don't seem to have any shadowing issues I've ran into with HID kits in the past.

u/thaiphoonST · 4 pointsr/Honda

This is the EX-L model - Sports come with the middle exhausts but all of the hatches have hidden dual exhausts - I added some tips I got from Amazon.

Window run channel lubrication.
be careful using the widow before you lube the channel because you can burn up the motor due to the extra stress.
http://www.amazon.com/Honda-Genuine-Shin-Etsu-Grease/dp/B006Z9TZ9M
That stuff is absolute magic.

The plastic tank reservoir design on Honda's radiators are notorious for cracking, I had mine go out a few weeks ago on my RSX and I used this funnel to bleeding the cooling system, by far the fastest &easiest/safest way of doing it
http://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B00A6AS6LY?cache=f8cbdecf2227ea49f0ef98ab3196eb68&pi=SX200_QL40&qid=1414328386&sr=8-1#ref=mp_s_a_1_1

Video link on how to use:http://youtu.be/zUpXgAJ1gjU

You could also rent a pressure tester for ~$200 from autozone if you think you might have a leak somewhere

u/schlossenberger · 1 pointr/Honda

Also procedure - open drain plug at bottom of radiator, use pan to catch coolant, drain, close drain plug. The hoses are held on by little clamps that you usually squeeze with pliers then slide up the hose. Pull them off. Transfer hose clamps to new hoses, install, squeeze hose clamps and slide them to the ends.

Open radiator cap and poor coolant in until it's full. Use this procedure to bleed the system. A "burp kit" like this is what you'd want to be able to get all of the air out of the cooling system, otherwise your car WILL overheat and it can cause all sorts of terrible problems.

Post if you run into any problems.
