I'm just buying the Amazon edition and the titles sound similar. The special features of the Target sounds more in-depth than what Amazon shows, but I'm pretty sure the features on the actual DVDs are basically the same, the only differentiation is in other bonus products added with it. Though seeing as you say its a 3-disc set when Amazon only is a 2-disc, there has to be something new, but I'm not sure what.

I read parts of this book on Amazon: http://www.amazon.com/Girl-Who-Was-Fire-Favorite/dp/1935618040/ref=sr_1_7?ie=UTF8&qid=1323711974&sr=8-7
which had some authors analyze the books and talk about the characters, the plots and the relationships: pretty much everything about what was so great about the series! it really offers a lot of insight and you can read a chunk of it online for free by looking through the book on amazon.

You should try it out! I had no experience whatsoever with mold making and resin casting, and though there was definitely a lot of trial and error, it was pretty simple to get the hang of. It really depends on the complexity of what you're molding and casting. This pin was actually three separate pieces (mockingjay, ring, and arrow) that were all molded separately and then attached. I couldn't figure out a way to do it as one piece, though with some things I'm sure you can and that'd be a lot simpler. ANYWAY, I got this kit here which has everything you need to start making molds and resin casts, plus it comes with an instructional DVD and some mold release spray. I say, go for it :)

I totally agree.

As long as it isn't Twilight. Or Artificial Intelligence: A Modern Approach. That would be weird

I can't do Haymitch, as I'm a girl... but I can totally see myself being a rude Joanna Mason. Haymitch the best snarker in the series, he just doesn't have a good female equivalent.

Anyway, the bookends are homeade. I got a pair of bookends that were slightly low and flat (like books laying on their backs). I put these figures on top of them. Until I can get some action figures I like, and plain black bookends I can decoupage... these will have to do.

If you have an Amazon Prime account (student or otherwise), you can get it for free.

And yes, you can also torrent the book.

Depends on who you ask… According to Blake Snyder, there are ten:

  • Monster in the House
  • Golden Fleece
  • Out of the Bottle
  • Dude with a Problem
  • Rites of Passage
  • Buddy Love
  • Whydunit
  • The Fool Triumphant
  • Institutionalized
  • Superhero

I think HG Book 1 classifies as “Dude with a Problem”, btw.

Book 2 is probably “Monster in the House”.

Yep; here's the score (doesn't contain this particular one).

Amazon's German Website says August 23, so it'll be very close to that date.

And if you'd like to read a parody of a book based off of Twilight, check out Fifty Shames of Earl Grey

I set of books that I read right before The Hunger games that I kept drawing parallels to was the Chaos Walking Trilogy by Patrick Ness. The first book is called The Knife of Never Letting Go.

I think that's the point though. I've read and re-read the books, including this:

The Girl Who Was on Fire (Movie Edition): Your Favorite Authors on Suzanne Collins' Hunger Games Trilogy https://www.amazon.com/dp/1936661586/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apap_snFfkZAmzUnLA

After reading the above book it just goes much more into the symbolic topics and I just think the ending was written the way it was because the hunger games is not a love story. It's meant as a commentary on modern society and the way it ends is about as "happily ever after" anything involving children killing each other can. It's meant as a warning; it is meant to be sobering and for us to think about the consequences of egotism and violence and how that directly connects to our modern reality and how we can often deify violence and competition as well as how technology can completely anethesize us from actual reality and what people face in poverty.
