Drew Karpyshyn was the Lead Writer for both Mass Effect and KOTOR. Not to mention having authored the Revan Book, Darth Bane Trilogy (Which features Revan's Holocron) and three amazing Mass Effect Books.

As someone who never really enjoyed the original, or prequel Star Wars, his work got me deep into the Old Republic Era. Loved it.

And based on his history with Bioware, they love him too!
