Or washi like this that's really wide can make for very interesting elements.

Books like this would also be super helpful is developing a feel to your journal and there is abundance of this stuff out there for free on pages like Pinterest.

It’s definitely a journey of self discovery and self reflection! Pull out a piece of paper and write why and what you want to journal. Tape that page or rewrite into your first page. The first page is the hardest. No more pristine clean journal!

My life was disheveled and I would miss appointments, deadlines, and overall my brain felt cluttered. I was sick of it. So that was my “Why”. My bullet journal is truly a one stop shop. Scheduling, calendar, dream documenter, sketchbook, weight loss log, habit tracker, finance, bill tracker, and it’s a blend of my personal and work life. It’s my biggest safe space. This is my “what”. I love how fluid and versatile bullet journals are. Have fun with it!

I also recommend reading this it is a valuable resource for me

I have two books like this but you have to use your own journal to do the writing.

Room to Write by Bonni Goldberg. This is filled with great writing exercises.

Beat Spirit by Mel Ash. He's got another great one called Shaving the Inside of Your Skull that I've been meaning to get another copy of.

I like this author. If you listen to podcasts, search by her name; listening to her talk is very encouraging.

I do physical journaling just because it's more satisfying to write in and I can also draw in it at the same time. Online journaling/digital just doesn't give me as much joy. I would highly recommend getting a journal with a built in lock, such as this one , and there's a bunch of other types on amazon as well, and maybe other sites. This way you can still write physically without worrying about privacy.

This is the one I’m currently using. It’s been pretty good at helping me get out of some spiraling thoughts.

I like this one, too!

I have a few journals I dont know the name of which I bought a while that work fine. But my more recent one for example, the notebook I just added to the products page, The ZLYC notebook is fine with fountain pens. It was also the first Journal that i've decided to really keep track of and decided to do daily.

My moleskine is good with fountain pens too.

Here is a large notebook

Here is the pocket sized version

I started this Moleskine two and a half years ago. I write almost every day and sometimes have pretty long entries, yet I'm only 75% of the way done.

I had the same problem as you! I use my Nanami (crossfield) for school so I bought this cover:

https://www.amazon.com/Kokuyo-Systemic-Refillable-Notebook-Cover/dp/B001J5PC6W/ref=mp_s_a_1_fkmrnull_1?keywords=kokuyo+red+a5+cover&qid=1557111863&s=gateway&sr=8-1-fkmrnull

It works great! It has two ribbon bookmarks and an outside pocket, and it’s very durable. It’s not quite as stiff as a leuchtturm, but it’s stiff enough I can write with it on my lap.

This is the journal I bought. I didn't use the food tracking portion (I'm lazy) or the final mood portion on page two (though I probably should have).
