Check this out for a read if you'd like to know more about our team history. Or buy this DVD set of our team's history and watch it, even if you weren't a fan it's still a very interesting reference point looking at pro football history in general and learning about different players and teams of the past.

Lamar Hunt, for whom the AFC Championship trophy is named after, founded and owned the team for a long time. His son Clark Hunt owns the team now, so it's stayed in the family so to speak. Lamar Hunt loved football and Clark played soccer in college, so they're quite familiar with sports as a family. In the offseason Clark Hunt even made a field goal from the new extra point distance in a fun little segment the team filmed, being able to kick from his soccer experience.

Most Chiefs players of the past 30 years that aren't Tony Gonzalez or Derrick Thomas tend to be underrated. Jamaal Charles gets a lot of fanfare in recent years but injuries have hampered his career a bit, and who knows if he'll be as revered years down the line like Adrian Peterson or Marshawn Lynch surely will.

He wrote a book in 2011! I think it's a feel-good, "Touched By An Angel"/"Highway to Heaven"/"God Friended Me" sort of thing. But people generally seemed to enjoy it. Good on him!

Not I. I have this one in a bedroom and this one in the living room through a Sling box. I'm in Lenexa but both worked fine when I lived in Gardner as well.

It’s on my list to read, so I haven’t gotten to it quite yet, but Lamar Hunt: A Life in Sports is one that has intrigued me and that I will be reading soon.
