I never used to use one, but I started trying Tempered Glass protectors. Love that they feel just like the glass and will protect the phone screen from scratches.

I tried 3 different ones on my G3, and This Spigen has been the best. Fits best, only has a cutout for the speaker, and has the same Oleophobic coating as the screen. Pricey, but if you wanna protect your screen and have it feel the same as if it didn't have a protector, I think it's a solid buy.

This is the case I am currently using. Love it! The leather feels great and it's so easy to lock and unlock the screen by just opening or closing the flap. Through the quick circle I can answer calls(and talk through the cover), take pictures, make calls, and get basic weather info. I can tap to unlock and it even shows you the notification icons for a second when you unlock it. The plastic that snaps on fit's extremely well and feels like quality plastic but you don't feel much of it since most of the back is leather as well. It's just a plastic case so protection is near zero but still better than naked. Wasn't sure what to expect with the Quick Circle feature but I wanted to give it a try. I've been pleasantly surprised with both the case and the Quick Circle feature.

For ease of use I have yet to find anything better than this:

http://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B00BAQKRHY?cache=a37717589af592cddf562178e45f1779&pi=SY200_QL40&qid=1410186980&sr=8-1#ref=mp_s_a_1_1

It does require putting a magnet in the back of your phone, but I've found its super useful in many other situations as well.

life proof are good cases if you have need of them, it's a shame they don't make them for more phones.

Your first lin isn't waterproof, and is very bulky, but a good case from the reviews I've seen of it, though you might consider something like a Bodyglove Shocksuit I've owned these, but not for this phone and they have given excelent protection.

your second link is one I've never seen, after looking around the lg g3 model seems fairly new but they've been making them for other phones. Those reviews are very good on the waterproof, but just ok on the build quality and sound quality. Get what you pay for I suppose since it's only $25 for an IP68 rated case.

Couple things - first the D850 doesn't have wireless charging built-in so you need a solution for that.

Next - yes these mats will work, but you can get them much cheaper. Powermat is a standard, so there isn't a charging mat per-device, but that's how they sell them (bundled with cases). You can use this to your advantage like so:

http://www.amazon.com/gp/offer-listing/B00462QB4W/ref=dp_olp_new?ie=UTF8&condition=new

I bought two of these in a sale for like $3.50 each. They worked okay - one had a VERY sensitive placement placement position and they make little noises when it connects/disconnects, so I would occasionally get woken up by it decided to disconnect/reconnect.

Anker's really popular, but these work super well too.

Look for a power bank that provides 2 amps or more (2.1 is what the iPad uses so that's a common number too). Then you want to make sure you get a good quality (i.e. thick) cable to allow that power to get to your phone.

Also, a 3000mAh portable battery won't be able to charge a 3000mAh internal battery from 0 to 100. There's a bit of power lost due to heat, so you'll want to calculate it like this:

phone battery capacity x number of charges you want out of the battery pack x 1.2

I can recommend this one which works well with my G3.

For an alternative there is also the Itian A6 (http://www.aliexpress.com/wholesale?SearchText=itian+a6). I ordered some a few weeks ago and will post about it once I receive it. I've heard good things and I like that it has three coil design.

I also purchsed the LG WCP-300 (http://www.amazon.com/dp/B00C6VP03I/). I've used it a little bit so far, it works well. Positioning the phone isn't as hard as I thought it would be. Has a nice finish that keeps the phone from sliding off.

I have a 64GB Sandisk Ultra that works great. I used it in my old phone (Droid Razr Maxx) and then my G3 when I got it on release last July. So it's been working great for the last year or so.

Should be able to get it for around $30-$40.

I really can't wait until the 128GBs come down to this price point in a year or two though - 64GB is enough for most things but load it up with a few movies, some music and a few nandroids and you've pretty much filed it up.

The quick circle case I use looks strides better and feels great. I bought a black leather Verus circle case for $20 and have been using it for 3 months so far, I love it!

I like the tempered glass and nite ize, a great way to mount your phone in the car. Cant say enough about it. Watch the price, Ive seen it for less.

u/cmraarzky · 1 pointr/LGG3

I bought this because it was cheap and I wasn't sure how I'd like a folio style case, works great for me: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00KL65WPG/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o03_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

u/OG1GTP · 1 pointr/LGG3

This is what you need. It's pretty good against fingerprints.

u/usernamesaretrite · 3 pointsr/LGG3

Can you confirm this works? If so, then I'll definitely be picking one up. Looks like you can get them for $15 on [amazon] (http://www.amazon.com/Duracell-Powermat-24-Hour-System-iPhone/dp/B0082YVBO0).

u/ChernobylChild · 1 pointr/LGG3

This is the best one you can get for this phone, I believe. It's tempered glass and pricey, but totally worth it. Got mine a few days ago, just waiting on tmo release now.

This one - the iloome 8H flexible glass protector.

I went into detail about it here - http://www.reddit.com/r/LGG3/comments/2b8o0g/tempered_glass_screen_protector/cj2w2en

>iLoome makes a hybrid glass protector with a hardness of 8H (instead of the usual 9H for glass protectors). The awesome thing about this hybrid is that the glass is much more pliable and not as brittle as normal glass protectors. As a result, it's kind of like the new sapphire-hybrid display that the iPhone 6 is going to use. Pliable, bendable, not brittle, yet still high up on the hardness scale. In addition, it's also thinner than the thinnest traditional glass protector, coming in at around 0.12mm (instead of the 0.23 or greater that glass ones use)

>link here, just pulled it off of a google search

>Note: I'm not a shill, however positive this review may sound. I just had a bad experience with a normal 9H glass protector and I did some research

A guy from XDA is selling PMA stickers that go into the stock backplate for $30: http://images.dcemu.co.uk:8080/lgg3pma/

And you can get a Powermat charger as part of a bundle (just throw out the phone adapter) for $7. I'm using this very same charger with my G3 and it works fine: http://www.amazon.com/gp/offer-listing/B00462QB4W/ref=dp_olp_new?ie=UTF8&condition=new (buy the one from Widgetree, it's the one I got for $7 and free shipping)

So, definitely not as cheap or as much variety as Qi, but you can set yourself up with PMA for under $40.

u/Ares6 · 1 pointr/LGG3

Not 100% sure, but I don't think Qi works with PMA like that. Since they are competing techs.

However, here's a $20 Duracell powermat that also includes a battery charger

This Puregear branded case is pretty thin. You can just toss the slide on holster part. Sorry for the mobile link:

u/andrewsami70 · 1 pointr/LGG3

Just buy the original circle case along with this so that the front cover doesn't flop around.

u/Lark_vi_Britannia · 1 pointr/LGG3

I just got mine yesterday. I thought battery life was going to be an issue because of the size of the screen (which personally should just be 1080p). Turns out it actually is a problem, but batteries are $10 on Amazon right now. You could just buy a few and a charger and it'd solve your entire problem. Batteries fit in your pocket and if your phone dies, you have a spare.

I actually just bought two spares about an hour ago.

Edit: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00LEXEBJI/ref=gno_cart_title_0?ie=UTF8&psc=1&smid=A179A2M6GFIF9B

There's the link. Currently $10.09 per battery. One wall charger for the batteries is $7.99 here.

u/chartyourway · 1 pointr/LGG3

I ordered this because it was a smoking deal. It came fast and it's been working great. (Technically I ordered the 32 GB but I can't imagine a difference. It's literally ordering from SanDisk.)

u/nofate301 · 1 pointr/LGG3

I'm going to go the route with a Qi universal receiver.

http://smile.amazon.com/Universal-Wireless-Charging-Receiver-micro-USB/dp/B00H7FJX7M/ref=smi_www_rco2_go_smi?_encoding=UTF8&*Version*=1&*entries*=0

You do take up the bottom port of your device, but if the matts are much cheaper, so I shouldn't have a problem getting a charger for work/home/car

u/swordstool · 1 pointr/LGG3

Just to clarify, it works fine when charging with non-wireless chargers, AND when on the official LG Qi charger.

u/rjungemann · 5 pointsr/LGG3

My G3 works through my car with a ground-loop isolator cable.

http://www.amazon.com/PAC-SNI-1-3-5-3-5-mm-Isolator/dp/B001EAQTRI/ref=pd_bxgy_e_img_y

An added plus is that it reduces noise for any phone that is playing through the car stereo while charging.

u/Jchronos · 0 pointsr/LGG3

Got this one. Really ruggedhttp://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B00KTLJ02Y/ref=mp_s_a_1_1?qid=1425761549&sr=8-1&keywords=lgg3+otter+box+defender&dpPl=1&dpID=41J%2BvyFQgZL&ref=plSrch&pi=AC_SY200_QL40

u/JustImpressive · 2 pointsr/LGG3

I bought these, I don't even charge my phone anymore.. just the batteries.

Once one runs out I just pop the other one in.

u/NeoGe · 1 pointr/LGG3

None, as far as I know.
You can get this Spigen magnetic clip and add it to the LG Circle Case, although the reviews aren't exactly great.
I have the LG Circle Case, and it doesn't really bother me, that it occasionally flaps open.

u/demonjrules · 1 pointr/LGG3

The factory charger is garbage. I bought this from amazon and couldn't be happier. On sale too! http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00IP8IBYG/

u/liljay2k · 2 pointsr/LGG3

Isn't the charger it comes with only 1.5A? This one boasts fast charging: http://www.amazon.com/dp/B00IP8IBYG/ref=cm_sw_r_udp_awd_1v-Xtb15XE5C1?tag=androidcentral00-20&m1k=vb_ac

Also, the first time I charged my phone it took forever. 2nd and subsequent charges went surprisingly faster.
