Yeah, I have that one. Heard it's a common problem with that model... i hope it doesn't happen to me, and if it does I hope it gets replaced with HERO model on which the issue was apparently fixed.
If you're out of warranty period, I head getting better switches helps, but you need to know how to install them. Also buy replacement mouse feet if you plan on a switch mod, you'll probably break the feet if you aren't super careful. (Products I link to here are 3rd party, they are NOT Logitech and are also merely examples of what you can get. I heard the switches are good replacements for the cheap switches used in the 903, but for the feet I simply linked to a set of feet with good reviews - remember to look around for better deals!)
Also, I heard sometimes the issue is caused by static electricity, so if you turn off your mouse, unplug from USB and take it off of the Powerplay for 30 seconds it solves the issue for a month or so.
> The difference between this and similar products is that you can replace it as the product ages
That's what they said about every battery ever made. They're all extinct, or rare and expensive. The only batteries you can always get are AA batteries. Reinventing the wheel is not innovation. We don't need another incompatible battery type.
> Rechargeable lithium ion AA batteries are both inferior and expensive, and don't output an acceptable voltage.
Electronics can and do use whatever voltage they need, from whatever power source they need. Most sophisticated electronics use multiple voltages, and they use DC-to-DC voltage conversion circuitry to achieve that. It really doesn't matter much what voltage your battery is in most cases, but especially this case.
If you don't like lithium ion AA batteries, then why insist on lithium ion? NiMH is probably better for this application anyway. In any case, if you really need lithium ion AA batteries, Kentli seems to have been superseded by Tenavolts:
The advantages of rechargeable lithium AA batteries are mostly just lighter weight, but they also have slightly higher capacity than Eneloop. Still, I recommend AA Eneloop NiMH batteries over lithium ion for this application, since weight isn't an issue (make sure your battery specifications match the packaging in this photo):
Get this package first to get the highest quality charger on the market:
You need that charger to get the full life out of Eneloops. If you take care of them, Eneloops will last at least a decade, maybe longer.
There is no good reason to reinvent the wheel for this keyboard with yet another proprietary battery. It doesn't even make sense to use lithium ion for it, unless your goal is more reliable failure. If you really must have a 3.6 volt battery, then you're in luck, 3 AA Eneloop NiMH batteries at 1.2 volts each add up to exactly 3.6 volts.
The stars have aligned, the angels are singing, and the whole universe is pointing toward AA batteries, but Logitech goes in the opposite direction and chooses a short-lived proprietary battery instead. That's not an improvement.
I personally have the 810 which has the same layout as the 610. I personally like the minimalist layout of them as I already have a G13. Not to mention that the the volume wheel is nice too. I feel like all the 710 has to offer is a whole of 6 more programmable keys and a wrist rest. If you really wanted a nice wrist rest you can get a nice minimalist gel one on amazon for a few bucks. You could sell the 710 for a small profit and get a wrist rest like this one.
The Logitech G Pro Wired is, well, wired. It is based off the same design as the G305, which is the wireless version.
The Logitech G Pro also comes with the latest HERO sensor of 16k DPI. This model is called theLogitech G Pro HERO.
The Logitech G Pro Wireless is a special esports gaming mouse that is wireless and uses the same HERO sensor. However, it has a completely different shape.
TL;DR: It is wired.
The G933's I'm using haven't been too bad - really the 2 biggest gripes I have are that I can't seem to charge them while using them (they restart every 5 minutes if I do this, even if the battery is full...) and that when I first turn on the headset, I have to manually pair them to the receiver. That said, if you're not all that worried about lighting and whatnot, the pair of headphones I had before, Turtle Beach's Stealth 450's were awesome. 15 hour battery life (I often only got about 12 to 14 hours), I could charge and use them at the same time, they still have the Sidetone feature (being able to hear yourself with whatever you're listening to), easy 40 foot wireless range, they sounded pretty great, and were fairly priced considering the average price of wireless headsets. If my G933's were to die in the near future, I'd honestly probably pick up another pair of the Stealth 450's.
(Old comment I know but just wanting to pitch in) Love the 700s. I too charged mine for the most part of a year, ended up buying the Eneloop Charging pack and now I never charge this damn thing! Makes having a swappable battery Wireless mouse so much easier.
I bought 3 of these g700s while they were down to 40-60$ and well in stock before what ultimately happened now being scarce and expensive. Probably never gonna switch from this mouse unless they come out with an exact replica like they did with the G700s from the G700.
Logitech G Pro Wireless

Highly recommended.
Changed my work life + at home with being able to set macros, I literally bring it everywhere with me in my backpack.

Also, the wireless, works like a charm, lasts 4-5 solid use w/ RGB, storable receiver slot underneath so you never lose it, clean ergonomic design!

Let me know if you have any questions.
Happy to help.
This isnt normal, and quite uncommon. Im positive support will give a head helping hand..
It being the weekend - maybe give them some extra time. You maybe wont hear back til mid next week.
If you feel like upgrading the feet entirely, take a look at some hyper glides
Looks like they do fit, there are reviews for g933 ear pads that state it fits their g935
Sort by recent reviews. So just find the best g933 pads I guess
Not sure where you live, but I'm assuming since you said USD it's in the states. Amazon currently has the earpads, seemingly the same earpads even made by Logitech, for $15 with 8 good reviews.

Upon looking at other options, Brainwavs sells these replacements for other large headphones and in the questions and reviews sections, a buyer confirmed they fit on their G633 headest. Though they are a little more expensive at about $22.

I had to import a G600 from Amazon US recently, just got it a few weeks ago. I honestly don't know what I'll do if I can't use the G600 anymore.
There's still a fair bit of stock floating around, fortunately. Just not in Australia it seems. https://www.amazon.com/Logitech-Gaming-Backlit-Programmable-Buttons/dp/B0086UK7IQ/ref=sr_1_1?s=books&ie=UTF8&qid=1523617052&sr=8-1&keywords=Logitech+G600&dpID=418gvV8MoTL&preST=_SX300_QL70_&dpSrc=srch
Why Logitech has abandoned this mouse completely is beyond me, I've been using it for nearly 7 years now & don't intend to stop until there's an equivalent to replace it, closest thing I found was the Corsair Scimitar (pretty much the only other brand I trust as much as Logitech) but apparently it's scroll wheel doesn't have a back & forward function which I use a fair bit. I've also had iffy experiences with Corsair's software, not to say Logitech's is perfect but they're nowhere near as bad.
Ironically, I made the same mistake you did in buying a Razer product (My g600 was wearing down hard, I was getting desperate leave me alone), I bought the wireless Naga, used it for 5-10 mins & returned it to the shop the next day.
I'm also getting tempted to literally buy about 5 of them to store away so I can use them for the next 50 years.

https://smile.amazon.com/dp/B00N3OELPU/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_KMw9BbABJBCA9
did you buy it from here? Because it clearly does say it's from logitech if you did http://www.amazon.com/Logitech-Mechanical-Gaming-Keyboard-920-006385/dp/B00N3OELPU/ref=sr_1_1?srs=2528918011&ie=UTF8&qid=1457421168&sr=8-1&keywords=g910
But if you bought it from another reseller there then it's clearly not from logitech.
i got these and they barelly fit, but they are a millon times more confortable than the garbage earpads the g933 comes with:
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B001BYL5YE/ref=oh_aui_search_detailpage?ie=UTF8&psc=1
these are for beyer dynamic. the velvet material is very soft, i can wear my headset for many hours without disconfort now.
these are the ones most people get:
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00ZGGG3KY/ref=sspa_dk_detail_0?psc=1&pd_rd_i=B00ZGGG3KY&pf_rd_m=ATVPDKIKX0DER&pf_rd_p=a54d13fc-b8a1-4ce8-b285-d77489a09cf6&pf_rd_r=4P58ZTFSPJTPE2KC73W5&pd_rd_wg=aPfUn&pf_rd_s=desktop-dp-sims&pf_rd_t=40701&pd_rd_w=htVp2&pf_rd_i=desktop-dp-sims&pd_rd_r=6c41ccf6-b21c-11e8-96dd-777fa7fb2507
about same price as the beyer's but the materials used are cheaper than the beyers
Pricing on the Powerplay mat is like ~$150 now from amazon.com including shipping and ships faster than the 3rd party seller. As to why it's not avaible right now only thing I've got is a thing from Memory Express's website. " Due to the Canadian wireless charging regulation, the Logitech POWERPLAY WIRELESS CHARGING SYSTEM (sold seperately, part number 943-000109) is not available in Canada."
G602 is nice. especially if you will play MMO and LOL. the 900 is top of the line obvi but I cant see spending that much on a mouse.
https://www.amazon.com/Logitech-Wireless-Gaming-Mouse-Battery/dp/B00E4MQODC/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1467192732&sr=8-1&keywords=g602
I suggest the Logitech g502. probably one of the best mouses i have ever used in my life. Another suggestion similar to it is the Logitech g602 which is the wireless version of the g502. I have had my g502 for nearly 2 years and it still acts as if it is brand new. heres a link to it https://www.amazon.com/Logitech-Proteus-Tunable-Customizable-910-004074/dp/B00IRHE892
and here is the g602

I have this Turtle Beach wireless headset and it's quite good. I managed to find a Warehouse Deal for $67, fortunately.
I have the G933 if you want me to test anything feel free to ask, may be returning it soon though.
For what you want, there is a 3.5mm jack on the headset which you could plug directly into your PC, you do not need the wireless functionality for this. I'm listening to music right now from my phone with the wireless dongle unplugged.
You could leave the wireless dongle plugged into your PC, then when you want to go wireless, unplug the 3.5mm jack, and switch from using your PCs sound device to the Logitech G933 transceiver
A few notes:
As others have mentioned, the USB cable is for charging only and does not carry data, if you wanted to operate in cabled only mode with no wireless functionality, you'd need to use the 3.5mm jack on the headset.
Audio from your PC to the headset should work with the included 3.5mm cable, however if you want your microphone to work you'll need an adapter like this one.
To my understanding, the headset does not use any power if you're in wireless off mode and only using the 3.5mm jack, so you will never need to charge the headset unless you use it wirelessly.
You can purchase new USB dongles from alternate retailers in Canada; however, it is quite expensive. You may be better off picking up a new pair of G935’s. If you are set on these I have included an amazon.ca link you can use, it may also be available for cheaper elsewhere.
Link: https://www.amazon.ca/Logitech-Receiver-Spectrum-Wireless-Surround/dp/B01DQXDDOW
On a side note, yes, ofcourse, you can buy the dongle separately, here's one on Amazon.
Logitech USB Replacement Receiver for Logitech Wireless Gaming Headset G930 New https://www.amazon.com/dp/B006WLBEPQ/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i_CR--Ab4CYR8W0
Here's a listing for it. Not sure if it's OEM but I've purchased one of these in the past and it seemed to work fine.
Amazon, https://www.amazon.com/Logitech-Replacement-Receiver-Wireless-Headset/dp/B006WLBEPQ/ref=sr_1_4?ie=UTF8&qid=1484266378&sr=8-4&keywords=logitech+wireless+usb+receiver
If you dont want any backlight but still like the g413, heres this https://www.amazon.com/Logitech-Mechanical-Keyboard-mechanical-Switches/dp/B071VHYZ62 . Its the k840, its a g413 with no backlight, thats the only difference.
these are the switches and the guide
Maybe a regional thing? They are still $60 CAD on amazon.ca, which is actually $20 CAD cheaper than I bought mine. https://www.amazon.ca/Logitech-Gaming-Mouse-Black-910-002864/dp/B0086UK7IQ/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1501713075&sr=8-1&keywords=g600
