I agree it is far more expensive than normal Blu-ray movies in the US. And more expensive than Anime Blu-ray movies in Japan. However....

I said "2-3" but it's usually 2 episodes per Blu-ray volume for anime TV series.

MiA has 13 episodes, but 12 are the normal length with a 13th that's actually as long as 2 episodes. So technically 14 episodes.

So you're getting 7 episodes of anime in each Blu-ray (because the total run-time is split evenly between the two Blu-ray Volumes).

So doing math:

• $130 / 7 = $18.57 per episode's worth of run-time
  
• $60 / 2 = $30 per episode's worth of run-time
  
• $60 / 3 = $20 per episode's worth of run-time
