Congratulations!!!! And brava for doing your own makeup! :-)
I didn't see this listed- but I like the Revlon lash glue! You don't have to wait 30 seconds, but the only downfall is after a few uses the bottle gets a little sticky.

Also, for eyebrow powder, I haven't used any powders but I really like MUFE aqua brow with a Sigma E75 angled brow brush. For quick days I use EX Brow Lash (I like the felt tip side).

For a highlighter, I am loving Becca's Moonstone, and I need to get my hands on Opal but I've played w/ it in stores and loved it too! I have Rosegold but it might not be the best for a highlighter for you.
For a lipstain, I love MUFE aqua rouge! They're the only things that don't rub off when I wear it. For me, lip tars some colors are awesome and some rub off. The only bad thing w/ the aqua rouges is there isn't a huge color selection. The shade you picked out looks gorgeous!

I hope this helps! And also, sorry it's a messy post! I don't know how to condense a website in a nice little format like you did! :-)
When I was exfoliating too much, my skin broke out in tiny, itchy red dots. It was irritated, red, and flaky, but still oily as hell. So I backed off from the scrubbing and let my skin heal. Now I use cosrx blackhead power liquid, which contains betaine salicylate, a more gentle form of salicylic acid (beta hydroxy acid). I don't really have problems with salicylic acid, but this stuff does seem to be less drying. I also use MUAC Mandelic Acid Toner a few times a week. It contains mandelic acid, which is an alpha hydroxy acid with a large molecular size. Their mandelic acid serum is also really good. I only use it a couple times a week.
Every couple weeks I'll use Skin79 Crystal Peeling Gel. It's a gel with cellulose, which sticks to oil and dead skin. As you rub it off, it takes the oil and dead skin with it, leaving behind smooth skin. I really like it because it's very gentle but effective. Korean and Japanese brands have lots of peeling gels. All of them have worked pretty much the same, so I haven't bothered with the expensive ones like Cure Aqual Gel, which is very popular.
I used to use abrasive scrubs and at-home microdermabrasion kits like the one from Olay. It worked really well until my face decided it had had enough.
This is just my exfoliation routine. There are other products I use that I can tell you about if you're interested. :)
In regards to Guerlain fragrance, I would recommend that you sift through some of the reviews on Now Smell This Perfume, which I think is one of the more reliable fragrance blogs out there.
Here is a collected list of reviews with Guerlain's grouped under the G's if you scroll down, plus some fun facts about the Guerlain house.
I also ADORE the Perfumes: The Guide by Luca Turin and Tania Sanchez, if not for the helpful reviews but only for the entertainment.
Turin lists Guerlain's Mitsouko as his favorite fragrance of all time, while Sanchez says in the introduction to the book that Guerlain l'Heure Bleue was the first perfume that really got her into perfume. I think many of us have tried Shalimar at Sephora or department stores, but it's not something I've felt bold enough to wear myself.
My favorite way to discover perfume is to read, read, read, read first and then pick up decants from The Perfumed Court. You can order from specific perfumes, or try one of their sets (these ones feature Guerlain fragrances).
Anyway, that response specific-suggestion skimpy, but I hope it illuminates your quest!
For foundation, I would suggest an Asian bb cream! I think you'd dig Missha Perfect Cover, and you'd probably be either shade 21 or 23 if you were using NC25 foundation before. Here's a review of this product by someone who has acne issues. For comparison, check out her before pictures. This product does a good job of providing coverage, but it doesn't have that heavy feeling. You can find samples quite easily on Amazon, trusted ebay sellers, or on the Missha site itself.
Brushes, I'd definitely check out real techniques. You can go no wrong with their brush sets, or if you just wanted to start out with a good foundation brush, pick up the expert face brush.
If you need concealer and powder after applying bb cream, I'd check out NYX's and Rimmel's offerings. They make great concealers and powders for their price range.
I'm very particular about how I like things and if given the choice I would want my vanity to match the rest of my decor. That being said, if your girlfriend has a lot of makeup she might need more storage than that vanity can provide. I would want a lot of counter/storage space to do my makeup so here's what I would do.
This since there's a lot of surface area to do my makeup and there's a big drawer in there for storage and then I would go out and buy a big lighted mirror since good lighting is essential for good makeup with an extension mirror for detail work. That being said, the first option is nice too. Please update us with whatever you decide to go with, we'd love to see :)
I'm not lusting over a product, but rather a tool. I was really inspired by Lisa Eldridge's video on how she uses lipstick palettes to inspire her and I'd really like to get my own lip palette for personal use. I have so many lipsticks I forget about and don't wear, and I hope that seeing them all in a single palette will encourage me to wear some of my lesser-used lipsticks.
The palette I want: Japonesque 35-well palette
Edit: can't spell
I love love love my [ecotools retractable kabuki] (http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B001MX89Y8/ref=wms_ohs_product?ie=UTF8&psc=1). It's sooo soft and it glides powder onto my face really well.
Nivea Olive Oil & Lemon is my absolute fave. It also smells like magic. I dunno where I got the idea that lip products should smell great in addition to tasting great- maybe it was middle school and this unforgettable product that I think I owned 8 of.
I totally understand your rant. I have been in the same situation hugs. I recommend this book http://www.amazon.com/Anxiety-Phobia-Workbook-Edmund-Bourne/dp/1572248912 and possibly a therapist who specializes in anxiety.
and this book: http://www.amazon.com/Wherever-You-There-Are-Mindfulness-ebook/dp/B0037B6QSY/ref=sr_1_1?s=books&ie=UTF8&qid=1394415608&sr=1-1&keywords=wherever+you+go+there+you+are
Also, it helped me to do something that actually made me happy. Its hard when you are sort of just going to school and working because you aren't really living in the present.
When I used to live in a warm climate near the beach...that really helped because it was somewhere I loved to go and loved to be and I actually felt fulfilled. I'm stuck in frozen college land right now and I can't wait until I graduate.
• Fresh Rose Floral Toner
• Fresh Sugar Lychee Rollerball
• First Aid Beauty Ultra Repair Cream
I'm going to return the toner for this and the rollerball because the scent doesn't last at all, but it smells SO good.
I asked this over on r/makeupaddiction but wanted to get your thoughts too.
I purchased this lighted mirror from amazon and while it's nice and all the lighting is just too dim. It's unfortunate because it had good reviews. Does anyone have recommendations for lighted mirrors that are actually bright? $50 and under would be preferable.

I use tea bag organizers. I have to pad the bottom for some lipsticks but it has worked really well for me and I like the way it looks.
I use a wool and cashmere detergent. This one in particular. Works well for me. Bonus, I finally hand-washed my cashmere scarf I've had for two years. And it's so soft!
You need a binder to add to your shadow and alcohol mix. Glycerine is the easiest to get and commonly used: http://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B0019LWU2K?cache=98e7ccb6202f0fafb25f32106805d086&pi=SY200_QL40&qid=1410577124&sr=8-1#ref=mp_s_a_1_1
You may need to play with how much you need in your shadow, usually one to two drops. If one isn't enough, you can break it apart again and add another drop. And press it again.
I use this one. I really like it
Thanks :-) I used a 5500K photo CFL with an umbrella - here is the kit that I have, though I usually only use one of the lights for product/blog stuff. For these photos I used a Nikon D5200, but sometimes I use an Olympus TG-820 or my iphone; the camera doesn't really matter as much as the lights. I don't think I did any editing to these other than resizing the photo - sometimes I do a slight curves adjustment too, but I don't think these needed it.
I haven't tried the product, but amazon also has a bunch of options:
http://www.amazon.com/Every-Drop-Beauty-Spatula-Squeezers/dp/B0069VYSFM/ref=sr_1_1?s=beauty&ie=UTF8&qid=1412947781&sr=1-1&keywords=beauty+spatula
I have a Japonesque train case that I'm in passionate love with. It's the medium sized pink train case. It's extremely sturdy. I had a Caboodles train case before, but it was obviously fake leather over cardboard, and I accidentally kicked it in. This is far sturdier.

I don't know if you can see or not, but the bottom is large enough for a Naked palette, large primer bottles (one pictured is the MUFE HD), and it still has plenty of room left. I have brushes in a separate roll, but I throw it in the bottom compartment also. It might even be too big for her, but she can grow into it in time.
Link to amazon. It's $60.
I use Snow River Wood Oil - I think Bed Bath & Beyond also sells this. It's the same thing as baby oil, but without the fragrance (which can be irritating for some people).
It's highly recommended over at /r/SkincareAddiction! I was skeptical at first (what? cutting board oil?) but nothing else I've tried has been half as effective!
