I have scoliosis which has affected my hips (among other things) since I was about 12 years old. So I've been sleeping with a pillow between my legs for at least the last 15 years. My physical therapist told me (and was absolutely right about this!) that if you're laying on your side, you want your bottom leg down and straight-ish, and your top thigh in line with your hip. So you'll actually want a pretty thick pillow under your top leg to keep everything in line. That's held true for me during pregnancy, too.

At 12 weeks I splurged on the Leachco Back 'n Belly Contoured Pillow and it's amazing. The head part was a little too thick for me and hurt my neck until I broke it in, but the body part was absolutely perfect for supporting my back and my little belly. Also, the reviews about the seam along the head part are absolutely true, but I took a seam ripper to it and also cut vertical slits along the head part seam and it's perfect now. I figured the sooner I buy it the more use I'm getting out of it! And truly, you need to do what makes you comfortable and forget about any preconceived notions of "but I'm not even that big/far along yet!" :)

We were talking about breastfeeding, and how I'd like to wait at least a month with just the boob, before I pump and use a bottle to help trade off feedings.

DH goes.. but, how am I going to help during that month? My friend was in the room and mentions the strap on boobs for men that he can wear. His face as he yelped.."I have to wear boobs?!" was amazing.

Sorry you're dealing with that! I'm at the other end of the poop spectrum, lol.

If you're eating any high protein bars/shakes, cut those out. I second prune juice. Magnesium powder can help as a laxative and can't hurt in regular doses. Also fiber such as oatmeal, psyllium husks, or other whole grain cereals can help.

I usually drink a full 16oz glass of water first thing in the morning, do some stretches. Finally this yoga pose helps me get things moving - I don't know that it would help with total constipation but I'll get into it, making sure my heels are underneath my sit bones, stay there for about 3-5 minutes and maybe do shoulder stretches or something to pass the time, and boom, moves my system right along. I think something about the sit bones resting on the heels helps relax the pelvic muscles and lets the digestive tract get moving.

I got this one on Amazon: Oster BLSTPB-WOR My Blend 250-Watt Blender, Orange https://www.amazon.com/dp/B004T4LYCQ/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apip_EnW5phfjuCUT7

Whenever I use my big blender I always make like 3 times more than I need to! This one is perfect I love it so far!

I'm glad it's not just me- I thought I was crazy!! I usually have super dry skin but it's been SO oily lately. I have just been washing my face more often to combat it... but zits still show up 🙈I'm not 100% sure if it's pregnancy safe (not sure why it wouldn't be though) but Mario Badescu has a drying lotion for pimples that is amazing!

Star Trek bib and spoons! My husband is a Star Trek and Star Wars fan so when I saw this bib being sold I had to get it. (this was 4 years ago and currently it is not being sold in Denmark so I'm so thankfull I got it while it was here!). The shop I got it from sometimes imports a few items from the US to see if they sell well in DK. I think this one sold well but it might not have been worth the logistics anyway.

Edite: I nearly forgot! I got him the "Safe Baby Handling Tips" by Kelly and David Sopp. So funny!

I know my go-to baby shower/new mom gift has always been these terrycloth milk bibs from Tommee Tippee. Everyone always loves them and said they bought more. This is a big one on my list!

You will appreciate those later if you decide to breastfeed! I'm actually trying to shop for comfortable nursing bras for during and after. Bras are expensive! I bought three of these after my last pregnancy: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B002K6F7AK/ref=oh_aui_search_detailpage?ie=UTF8&psc=1

I usually stick with ginger tea when nauseous. Hopefully it will help!

"You Were the First" is a good one. I like it because it really focuses on the child you're reading to, as some other books focus on the child to come.

u/Nahele91 · 1 pointr/March2018Bumpers

Sure! Here they are. They seem really affordable when compared to other ones as well.

Second the probiotics. I take 2 fem-dophilus each day (1 in am, 1 in pm) and it is the only thing that works for me. While a bit more expensive, it's specifically for vaginal health. I buy the higher probiotic blend (5billion).

I can't find the link, but is it this sucka? https://www.amazon.com/Zyllion-ZMA13BK-Shiatsu-Massager-Shoulders/dp/B00BOYA2M2/ref=sr_1_3_a_it?ie=UTF8&qid=1511211574&sr=8-3&keywords=shiatsu+neck+%26+back+massager+with+heat&dpID=41pgWZC7e4L&preST=_SX300_QL70_&dpSrc=srch

I am prone to lower back pain even when not pregnant so this might be a worthy investment. My husband keeps saying to schedule a massage but I've had bad luck with them (either they aren't deep enough for my taste or I can't relax enough to enjoy them- I can be a little put off by strangers touching me)... this seems like it might be exactly what I need!
