I read graphic novels/comic books pretty regularly. I'm not much for Marvel or super hero stories though. If you want a few things that are slightly different, check these out. Granted, I haven't gotten through the whole series on some of these yet. Some of these books are new enough that they are still actively being written. However, I still want to recommend the following because whatever I did read impressed me pretty well, with both writing and art.

I'm giving you Amazon links so you can see some of the artwork on these books.

I want to warn you about Preacher, but I don't want to say too much. I still recommend this series.

I think that's good for now... :D

OH! And lastly, if you're like: oh, these books look cool, but I'm not sure if I want to spend the money checking them out just yet, your local library might have a selection of graphic novels. I know here in NYC, our library system has a HUGE selection of comics, your library might too!

I agree. Especially with FLAC files, you need the space. A 1TB iPod would have been awesome.

I bought a cheap Sansa and hooked it up with rockbox. You can go up to 2TB, but I think the most an SD card can do is 128GB. So until bigger SDs come out you're stuck at 128. :/ But its nice, no itunes needed.. Just plug in and move the songs onto the card. It plays every type of file imaginable. Hasn't been updated in a while though, wonder whats going on.

If you really want some power you need one of these: Astell & Kern . Kinda pricey for a music player.. Lol. They even make dual dacs at like $1700. Wowweeeeeee.. Wow, looks like they even have $2500 model!!!!

A recent favorite of mine is one I funded on Kickstarter. It's called Story War. Basically, each player or team plays a warrior card and together tell the story of their battle, and the judge decides who wins.

I finally got a chance to play it recently against a girl who majored in English for her undergraduate and a girl going for a masters in creative writing. I was of course trounced, but it was super fun. I think it depends a lot on who you play with, but there's tons of potential.

This one gets great reviews and seems to be the best deal over all. I've had this brand and I can vouch that it is amazingly good. But as the reviews say, it is potent. A little goes a long way, but at the same time, you get a slightly stronger drink because you don't need as much juice. I highly recommend it. My old favorite bar had this all the time because they served a TON of martinis.

Holy shit! That thing is bigger than my parents cabin that they built! This or this is what I'm looking at. Small enough to pack in the car, but big enough to move and stand up in. Of course that's just for me.

Some really thoughtful responses here, which just reaffirms my belief that this sub can be so many things to so many people.

I am twice your age, which is a horrifying thought. But as such, I've had a lot of experience.

Your quick affection for any girl who shows the slightest interest? That's projection. It's natural. It's human. You have needs that aren't being filled and this longing... makes you search for what will make you feel better... just like starving will make you crave food that you wouldn't necessarily normally crave.

Some excerpts from this book that really helped me a few years ago:

pg. 71

"... The more time that passes, the longer your needs go unmet, the more your body and mind ache for all that you've lost. No matter how hard people try to hold themselves together, a profound sense of loss intrudes on every waking moment.

"The effects of withdrawal are cumulative and wavelike. They often have to get worse before they can get better, a point lost on friends who expect to see your desperation dissipate, not mount day after day."

pg. 74

"Even if a relationship had only been a date or two, your hopes for the future and your need for love were invested in that person. When hopes don't materialize, your disappointment can be profound; it puts you right back where you were before: alone. Your sense of loss may be no less painful than if you had been married for many years."

pg. 124

"Society, unfortunately, does not assign bereavement roles when someone is abandoned. There is no funeral, there are no letters of sympathy. Rather, you are seen as someone who has been dumped.

"Abandonment survivors are left to wonder if perhaps they caused their own problems. Maybe it was their fault the relationship ended, perhaps they shouldn't feel such pain, perhaps it's a sign of emotional weakness. These self-recriminations add another layer of shame, forcing us farther into emotional exile."
