well you cant get ones that are made to have interchangeable parts, but there are a few that you can swap pieces with since they're the same brand.

here are some Revoltech:

Zinogre Armor

Ratholos Armor

Azure Ratholos Armor

Here are some Nendoroids:

Lagia Armor

Barioth Armor

Kirin Armor

Lagombi Armor

And heres one that might be able to swap weapons with a revoltech but dont quote me on that, its one that i dont own.

these are pretty much the only armored figures were going to get for a while, although that will probably change by the time the next season of figures starts coming out, whenever that is.

also note that i did link to the amazon sellers of these figures, but if you do plan on buying any you should probably look into other places to buy them since amazon sellers like to jack up the price quite a bit.

EDIT: also you might have your best luck finding monster hunter merch at a con, i go to Otakon every year and find things i havent seen online

I have a different model, and I can reach everything! I have the New 3DSXL V2 grip from them and I can access everything on the top and bottom and it's easy to put on and remove so getting at the SD card or taking it off to clean my device is easy. I still even have the IR port and charm loop open on the top of the device if I need to use the IR port or want to decorate my system. Since I now have all 3 MH games digitally (I play them too often) I have Hyrule Warriors: Legends in my card slot while Pokemon Moon and Star Fox 64 3D are in the back door on the grip.

In order to protect the top half, I use the HORI TPU case and just keep the bottom half of the TPU case in a drawer.

I use this (note I didn't buy it for that much)

As far as cramp relief it's great, but for the L, R, zL, and zR buttons it kind of digs into your hand. it's a minor inconvienience.

u/Navolas2 · 4 pointsr/MonsterHunter

Which version of 3ds do you have? If you have an original version of the 3ds or 3ds XL I would suggest the claw pad pro I linked to. It puts an additional Circle pad a little below the L button on the system. Gives you have claw feelings and is way more comfortable at the same time.

I honestly have considered buying an OG 3DS again so I can use it with my American release monster hunter games.Though due to time since release they are getting a bit more spendy.... but it is amazing.

edit: Also could try just the normal Circle Pad Pro. 3DS XL OG 3DS

I have these and I love them, perfect for large hands. Havent had a cramp since I bought them, well over 500 hours of games with them.

Yeah, it's pretty old now, but when it came out I only payed $30 shipped from Japan Amazon. You can get something similar for pretty cheap though.

u/Fireclave · 2 pointsr/MonsterHunter

Had that happen to me before. As long as you're careful, it's surprisingly easy to fix. Might I recommend:

Man alive you nearly made my heart skip a beat.

/u/raptorhunter666's link goes to a bundle, hence the inflated price.

Here is a link to the game by itself: CLICKY.

It's from this book on page 91. It's an art book with lots of concept art and they specifically use words like "prototype" and "idea set" for their concepts.

It's brainstorming stuff. Some of the stuff ends up makings its way into future games like the D&D-style goblins turning into Shakalakas and the "jaw wyvern" concept inspiring Khezu.

I don't know if you have a regular 3ds or an XL, but the regular sized one sells on amazon for $~10, and the LL version sells for about the same.

For anyone concerned, the japanese regular/LL cpp works exactly the same for a western handheld (the US versions are more expensive for w/e reason). I got one for my roommate, and it helped it a bit. I also particularly liked it as a grip, not just an extra stick.

u/Chiiplus · 1 pointr/MonsterHunter

it's really pricey to buy them one by one in america which is why ebay is the best for that option. Your next best bet is complete sets from amazon but they run from $60-$300 depending on how old the set is.

Here is the set with a ash ketcha (its the cheapist set out there right now so depending on how bad you want ketcha its the best deal right now. So either pay $20-$30 for just a ketcha or get this set with one in it for $50

and here is a set with a zinogre:

Its more a soreness in the middle of my palms.
I have the WiiU so if it gives they same ergonomics it should be alright.

Anyone tried dreamGEAR 3ds XL comfort grips?
Link

The silicone seems more appealing in terms of comfort.

u/Amankhan · 7 pointsr/MonsterHunter

Sounds like you are looking for the Gore Magara case.

I have it as well as 2 other cases. I did a comparison post with the 3 cases a while back. Here's some images that might help you get an idea of its size.

I started with a imported japanese standard 3ds. I played MH4, and MH4G on it. I upgraded to a japanese new 3ds XL mid-jan 2016. I played MH4G and MHX on it.

The difference is pretty crazy since I jumped from a normal size 3ds to a new 3ds xl.

u/MissilesOfOctober · 2 pointsr/MonsterHunter

I don't believe JalenTheEpic is correct. If you're still interested in Xlink, you should know that it's possible to play MHFU with Xlink and an unmodded psp if you have a network adapter that is compatible with Xlink. JalenTheEpic is probably referring to AdhocToUsb, which is a plugin that bypasses the need for a compatible network adapter and lets you use a USB cable instead.

There are many compatible USB adapters, but the only one I have bookmarked is this, so you could start there. If you've got any other questions, feel free to drop me a message.

u/dreyarc · 1 pointr/MonsterHunter

Yeah, Amazon Japan now accepts major cards. I used this guide to order it. Here is the item page for MHXX.

u/Slime_Monster · 2 pointsr/MonsterHunter

Mine was about $6 USD and was very easy to replace. Here's a link to it on Amazon Germany. You'll also need a #001 (not the same as a #01, don't make my mistake) Phillips head screwdriver if you don't have one.

u/boobers3 · 3 pointsr/MonsterHunter

MHGen is the easier game, MH4U is the better game. That being said MHGen is still a really good game and fun. If MH4U were 8/10 MHG would be like 7/10.

MH4U is by far more difficult than MHG tho, MH4U will kick you in the teeth and call you a little bitch when you get to end game Guild Quest level 140.

The ingame story isn't that important, your hunt and journey through progression at the story. If you get Monster Hunter on your 3ds XL make sure to buy a circle pad pro, they aren't that expensive but it's kind of important to have.

Ok so....I think all of you people who turn it off accidentally are goobers. I don't even see how it's possible to hold the thing this way. THAT BEING SAID. My friend has little tiny baby hands so I got her this http://www.amazon.com/CYBER-grip-rubber-coating-3DS-LL/dp/B008ZXBYJU and she has not had the problem sense. Good luck, god speed, kill dem damn monsters.

u/Frankenseth · 3 pointsr/MonsterHunter

Why not buy it from amazon? It's almost half the price. I guess it doesn't matter now, I'm just curious.

u/adremeaux · 2 pointsr/MonsterHunter

I'm using the old 3DS XL grip, but you'll need to carefully cut some holes in the top so it doesn't press the z buttons. Beyond that, I mean, it covers all the main buttons/lights on the body but you don't actually need any of those if all you are doing is playing MH.

u/MysticB · 2 pointsr/MonsterHunter

I've seen it on Amazon. My buddy said he got it for $20 at PAX. And Amazon has it for $31 http://www.amazon.com/Monster-Hunter-Chart-Poster-Capcom/dp/B00G82PVAI

u/mogn · 1 pointr/MonsterHunter

It's unlikely (but possible) that you have two wireless cards.

If you either don't have two or they aren't compatible (if they're internal cards which came with your computer, there's only a slim chance of them being compatible), then you'll need to get one. There is a short list of compatible adapters on the Xlink Kai website, but I personally suggest just getting a Planex one (they are all compatible, as Planex officially sponsors Xlink Kai). This is the one I use: Planex GW-USNano

u/the_native · 1 pointr/MonsterHunter

There are also posters, I've thought about buying one but don't have anywhere to put one. The poster I linked is like the one you posted but it's missing Dara Amadyura.

u/EmRaptor · 1 pointr/MonsterHunter

I was searching through Amazon UK and I found this - https://www.amazon.co.uk/Monster-Hunter-Flash-Vol/dp/1421584255/ref=sr_1_7?ie=UTF8&qid=1465419964&sr=8-7&keywords=monster+hunter

I knew there was a Manga of Monster Hunter but I didn't know a second one was made.

u/bucketpickaxe · 2 pointsr/MonsterHunter

You can probably pose that using this...

u/z827 · 6 pointsr/MonsterHunter

It's a Japanese thing - material books and guidebooks provides information or fleshes out information that's otherwise not in the game / anime / whatever.

The problem with the EDW is that it's literally just concept art in an Illustrations book and there's nothing else to further support it's presence in the games. The EDW's not mentioned in a guidebook or a material book but an illustration book.

The Ancient Civilisation's clearly a thing considering the multitude of references to an earlier civilisation in the mainline games themselves but EDW's current status is just that of a cut concept.

It may be a concept that's realised in the future but there's really nothing supporting it's existence as of the moment.

u/omen679 · 2 pointsr/MonsterHunter

Oh I don't have my n3ds xl to compare, but I got this one though in case anyone is curious. Covers much of the "shininess" of my Fire Emblem N3DS XL though.

XL

Standard

For whatever reason, almost all of the standard size ones are imports from Japan. If you don't want to wait, then you need to drive to a local Gamestop.

u/ironprominent · 2 pointsr/MonsterHunter

Unless the site you're buying the game from is somehow selling it for more than 150 there's no way it's going to cost you more than 400. Just buy your 3DS from Amazon.

u/CaiserZero · 3 pointsr/MonsterHunter

I'm pretty protective of my 3DS/N3DSes as well. I do use a case along with a Skinomi skin protector, that covers the whole N3DS. And it was inside a padded pouch. But it was clipped on my left side belt. Out of the 5-6 years, since my first 3DS, never has this ever happened to me. Sometimes bad shit just happens.

u/Rousen1991 · 2 pointsr/MonsterHunter

Sad because no NA version of this.

u/jvardrake · 3 pointsr/MonsterHunter

It's amazing how much people's opinions can differ... :D

I've been reading a lot of Japanese reviews, and on Amazon JP right now, MH4G is sitting at 2.5/5 stars, with one of the primary complaints being that this version hardly adds any new content. I have seen many, many reviews basically stating that - "For customers that already own 4, it's an insult to charge full price for this! Should have been DLC content for the original."

http://www.amazon.co.jp/product-reviews/B00LSLNYBW/ref=dp_top_cm_cr_acr_txt?ie=UTF8&showViewpoints=1

Now, I know that people (apparently, even the Japanese) love to just go with "Something I didn't like? ONE STAR - WORST GAME EVAH!" type reviews, but the fact that there are so many here, plus the fact that previous versions seemed to have much better reviews on the same site (Monster Hunter 3G is sitting at 4/5 on Amazon JP), gives me pause, and makes me wonder whether or not there is some truth to these complaints.

Edit: For anyone wondering, some other complaints I am seeing are:

  • They have gone too far with trying to make the game artificially difficult. There are too many cases where the monster has an opening that is impossible to read, extremely small, or has none at all. On top of this, people seem pissed that everything seems to be ridiculously fast, and doing massive damage. Seems to be a general feeling that stuff has went from feeling "challenging" to straight "unfair".
  • Quite a few of the monsters seem to have attacks that are "homing" now (I.e, even if you have done a good job with positioning yourself, a monster will switch direction mid attack, causing that attack to still hit).
  • Due to increased "difficulty" all the of the new content is extremely unfriendly (/impossible) to solo players.
  • Not much in the way of new weapons/armor.
  • None of the complaints people had about the base 4G version were addressed (The players seem to feel that the developer(s) are ignoring them.)

Also, before anyone starts in on me, I'm not trying to start a shitstorm with this (Please don't shoot the messenger!). I'm just trying to convey what I'm reading the Japanese customers complaining about (And these complaints seem pretty consistent.)
