Hey broski. Back in the day, the Zowie bungee was the only decent option, but nowadays almost any mainstream-ish bungee should work.

That said, here are a few recommendations, considering you might like certain brands/aesthetics/colors more than others!

u/JD2Chill · 2 pointsr/MouseReview

Some recommendations.
Ambidextrous mouses
Dream Machines DM1 FPS - Have heard good things about these mouses. Haven't used one personally but would not be against one if I was looking to try something different than what I already have.
Zowie FK series - Difference between the FK1, FK1+ and FK2 are just size.
Logitech G Pro - Personally I prefer the original over the new version with the Hero sensor because I like the PMW3366 better than the Hero16K but most people state they can't notice the difference. Also, original is pretty cheap right now.

Ergonomic mouses
Zowie EC series - Users report having issues with the scroll wheels on the B models (EC1-B,EC2-B) but that seems to be hit or miss. I have an EC2-B that I love and have no issues with. The B models have a newer sensor than the A models. B models have the PMW3360 sensor.
Logitech G403 - Great sensor (PMW3366) and fairly light at just over 87 grams.

You will probably notice these are some of the most popular mouses on this subreddit, haha. Take my recommendations with a grain of salt and do your own research as well. Hope this helped in any way!

Currently using the GPW and G305 (use them pretty much equal, if I'm having a bad game I'll switch). My S2 arrived Tuesday, and it's on it's way back today lmao. Shape isn't bad it's too small for me (19.5cm x 10.5xm hands). That said despite the shape, it really did suck going back to a wired mouse haha. I don't have a bungee and I forget how annoying it was to constantly have to rewrap my wire around my desk and tug on it in case it fell off the back of the table.

Additionally, even though I did like the shape of S2, the glossy coating is retarded. My hands would feel disgusting like I just came in my hand and ate a bag of potato chips. Then without even washing my hand I would place it on my gpw and instantly feel clean. You can see it too, my S2 looks far grosser after 2 days than my g102 did after 2 years. I also felt really silly paying $70 for a mouse that from a technical standpoint is inferior to my $50 g305 in every singe way. Even my $27 g102 feels higher quality than the s2 in terms of buttons, wheel and material. Don't worry about sensor, 3360/hero is overkill and I never noticed anything going from Mercury to Hero.

On top of that instead of using amazon prime and having 2 days turnarounds tops it takes 8 days to recieve from Zowie direct. First impression of Zowie, the shapes ARE GOOD, but not really not that special and in no way make up for their mediocre quality and being overpriced. Like yeah, despite being too small for me I did like the shape of the s2, but I didn't like it any better than my g305 or gpw, it was just different.

When I got my $130 g pro wireless I didn't feel like I got ripped off at all. When I felt how sturdy yet light it was, and saw how long the rechargeable battery lasted, I knew I had paid a high price for a high quality product. I have the complete opposite feeling with Zowie.

So in conclusion get the GPW. Better yet, if you're already using the g203, get a g305 for less than half the price. Get these battery shellshttps://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07D6RDQ3S/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_image_o03_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

with these lithium ion batteries

https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B06ZYWKBRB/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_image_o02_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

and the mouse will weight EXACTLY THE SAME as the g102.

I know using nonrechargeable can be lame, but I've been using the g203 for a month now and the battery still shows full bars.

Like I said I use gpw and g305, and I honestly feel like I play better with the g305, I'm just so used to the shape after going from a g100s, to a g203 to this over the past 4 years. Despite the shape I still use the GPW too because it's hard NOT to aim well with a large wireless 80g mouse.

Hi /r/mousereview,

Just a quick update on the MM710 and its progress through production. Here's a quick rundown of the changes:

New Cable (gif, rubber on bottom, braided on middle, newest on top)
The MM710 now has a newer, better cable. It's much lighter and more flexible than the cables you've seen prior. It also smaller and more even, which makes it easier to put in a mouse bungee than other lightweight cables. This is about as close as you can get to a paracord mod before removing the EMI shielding completely (will fail certification otherwise).

New PTFE Feet (pic)
The current rendition of the MM710 now has pure PTFE feet, a change from the older black teflon feet. Not only are the new feet thiccer, they glide extremely well after a small break-in period.

New Side Buttons. (Old on left, new on right)
The previous MM710s you've seen had sharp side buttons shared with the CM110 mouse. The current model has smoother, rounder side buttons similar to the older MasterMouse S. This makes the mouse more comfortable to hold and press.

New Main Buttons (Old on left, new on right)
The first iteration of the mouse had holes going far up the main buttons. The newer version removes some of these holes. This does make the mouse a little bit heavier, but nicer to hold on to and click if your fingers are back there in claw or fingertip grip.

Structure Optimizations (Old on left, new on right)
On previous mockups, you can easily squeeze the side of the mouse and actuate the side mouse buttons. On the new mockup, it's much more difficult to actuate the side buttons this way (not impossible, but requires an unrealistic amount of force you won't see during regular mouse usage). We've also manage to save some weight by removing some of the rear structural supports at the very back of the mouse, but still retain strength at the rear. This also makes the mouse slightly less back-heavy.

Release Date, Preorders, Stock Availability
The release date has been moved back a week or two to September 24th. You will be able to pre-order the mouse on US Amazon here. Other regions coming up shortly (EU, Asia Pacific). Unfortunately, we're not freethinking and genius enough to make it a one-time run, so that means if the mouse is out of stock, it'll come back in stock and you'll actually get another chance to get one if you miss out. Oh nooo...

We're still improving the mouse as we go, so what you see is not final (but it's close). Feel free to ask any questions here! I'll be able to answer for a few hours.

I'm thinking about getting a new mouse. I tried some out in store the other day, to discover they all feel more comfortable than the cheap thing I have right now. I don't quite know what it is that I want.

  • Games: I don't have a primary atm, so a bit of everything. Though I rarely play fps games. [But I haven't tried Overwatch, and that might change my mind]. No MMO or MOBA. But I'll be using the mouse daily for everything, including general browsing and use while researching etc.

  • Handed: Right. Though I do sometimes use my mouse in my left, so maybe ambidextrous. Not a requirement though, as I can happily use a right-handed w/ my left.

  • Budget: Maximum at £50. But would prefer lower [since I don't need bells and whistles].

  • Hand size: Average, ish. 17cm tip of the middle finger to the base of the hand. I think that's what you're asking for. 8cm sideways.

  • Grip type: I tend to grip w/ my fingertips, and pivot on the 'ball' of my hand/ wrist. But I also change, and sometimes use others for a bit. edit: I think my grip type is heavily dependent on the mouse I'm holding. I tried a Mionix and it was comfortable.

  • Weight: I don't know, I've never held a 'heavy' mouse before. So I'll just say average.

    Any other details:

  • I generally would like to be able to adjust my mouses sensitivity on-mouse via buttons.

  • I don't want any configuration via software i.e. plug and play. [as I use linux, and drivers are generally a bitch]

  • No LEDS [or atleast disableable], and it can't look too gamery.

  • Buttons near the thumb for browsing: back-up, go-forward type things.

  • Preferably black or grey, but not required. Preferably non-obtuse logos, but not required.

  • Since I don't play fps, I especially don't need a mouse that they tend to like, with really low sensitivity and sliding your hand all over the table to use. I don't have much desk space, and due to my fingertip-pivot-grip I need a sensitivity such that I can maneuver my cursor around my 24" monitor w/ ease.

  • Wired

  • Not a requirement, I don't know if such things exist, but - quiet? Do quiet mice exist?

Since I don't know too much about mice, I'm quite open for suggestion, and I don't think I'm too picky and could have my mind changed if you recommend something. If there are any features [esp. ergonomic ones] you think would be useful to me, please tell me.

    ---

Also - What's with the mice with the free wheeling scrolls? Is there a list of mice that use this? What are the general uses for this? Looks quite fun though... So, if it's a choice that I can get w/o many sacrifices, I wouldn't say no.

edit: I'll not have a look over logical increments if anything catches my eye. But I doubt it since I don't really know what I'm looking for. This Logitech G400s and Razer Deathadder are the kind of look I'm trying to avoid.

NAGA EPIC USER HERE

I just dumped mine after the 3rd RMA. The original Nagas (2012) were amazing but the recent iterations have been pretty poor. Here are the options I found:

Corsair Scimitar Pro This is a smaller mouse than the naga, but provides the 12 button pad and has great software to boot

Logitech G600 This one is just a little too bulky for me, I have very small hands, but it is logitech. The dual dish feature is too weird for me.

Steelseries Rival 500 Not your standard layout, but a good sensor. Large mouse , very similar to the naga epic.

In the end, I went with the Rival 500, because I liked the features (programmable rumble support) and the Pixart 3360 Optical Sensor was a good choice. It is heavy, so not ideal for fps, but i use it anyways.

Also, there is always knockoff on amazon. My brother has this one and he loves it. Eh?

u/thomastheg0d · 1 pointr/MouseReview

Mouse bungee's are amazing, they work perfectly for me and I play much better with it since it reduces the cable drag.

Zowie camade is probably one of the most popular mouse bungee's. I personally use it and the build quality is pretty good,Razer bungee and Hotline games bungee are some other popular ones.

Pretty sure they all work the same.

u/Wizbomb · 1 pointr/MouseReview

I used to be a G502 palm user at 18.5x9 but took a chance on the small ambidextrous g305 and while at first use it felt a bit odd this mouse has just been fucking incredible for me. I can't get away from it, I have tried to use other ergonomic mice and just cant, they never feel as natural to me. I did switch my grip up to a more claw shape and that made it just as comfortable as ergo.

I also have had it for about 3 months now and it is still at 100% charge...I mean what black magic fuckery did Logitech use on this mouse?

I have since recommended it to friends and they love its shape and weight. If you do go for the g305 I suggest picking up these two items from amazon: AAA converter - Energizer Ultimate Lithium AAA Batteries.

This will save on weight and it doesn't seem to hurt the battery life at all.

u/KloppOnKloppOn · 1 pointr/MouseReview

Looking for a comfortable ergonomic mouse.

Games:WoW/CSGO/Dota
Hand preference:right
budget:50-70$
Hand size:medium
Grip:whatever is most comfortable/ergonomic
weight:fairly light
Sensitivity 800-1200dpi
Connectivity:wired

My old mouse had these really easy to click right and left buttons:

https://www.amazon.com/Logitech-Daedalus-Prime-Gaming-Mouse/dp/B00OHJY7C2/ref=sr_1_3?keywords=g303+moba+mouse&qid=1567115856&s=gateway&sr=8-3

But I want those on a more ergonomic shape. My current g502 doesn't have the same easy to click buttons and its not as comfortable anyway. I used to really love the shape of my ec1 zowies, but want those easy click buttons.

u/shshsns · 2 pointsr/MouseReview

No problem.

The wire on the g403 seems to be a braided cable so it’s not good news. However there have been instances of batches of G502 mice have bad cables, so it may just be your model, but there’s no way to be sure.

However like I said before there are many Logitech mice with the exact same shape. So you can go wireless if you’d like with the g603/g703. From what your issue I’d say you could remedy the cable drag with a mouse bungee or some cable clips.

There's a ton of companies who sell mouse bungees and usually they're pretty good. Though I'd recommend you check out reviews first since some are too lightweight or gimmicky. I personally use the Zowie camade if you got questions.

Alternatives :
I've seen people use clips like this in place of a mouse bungee: https://www.amazon.com/Cable-Clips-Management-Nightstand-Accessories/dp/B00NVKHLP8

Or you can just get a generic brandless bungee which people have said are fine : https://www.amazon.com/Generic-Mouse-Bungee-Management-Holder/dp/B01ASXL0PW

If you don't want a mouse bungee to be to big or noticeable you could also use something like this : https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07G1WD13M

if you don't mind a wired mouse the I-rocks m36 pro has a great shape one of the best Ive ever tried and my hands are smaller then you it has optical switches, split clicks, and EC2-B/G403 similar shape

Dimensions: L 119 mm X W 64.0 mm X H 41.5 mm

  • if you want to buy
  • info on i-rocks m36

the Logitech G303 might also be up your ally its amazing for relaxed claw(palm/claw) I would get the g302 on amazon to try out the shape and if you like it then get the g303 on ebay or the /r/MouseMarket.

I actually don't even like a lot of the "flashy 'gamer' aesthetics". This mouse suggested by u/Sturmgeshootz is a high possibility now, but since I am upping my price range anyway do you know of a good mouse with even more than 2 extra buttons in the $30 range? I'm perfectly happy with two side buttons, but more can always be a help in some games

u/slyrichard1233 · 1 pointr/MouseReview

This kept getting deleted:

I have 4 reliable ones in mind atm, but I'm really not sure which would best suit me.

Logitech G-Pro

Logitech G-403

Zowie FK1 or FK2

If any mice guru can help me out, I'd really appreciate it. Thanks!!

u/_BoneZ_ · 1 pointr/MouseReview

You definitely don't want the Razer. Especially after you read the reviews. You should also consider the Logitech G602.

The 602 is more comfortable for me as I can't stand the ring finger rest on MMO mice. The 602 can also use 1 or 2 AA batteries for weight purposes which lasts for months. Further, the 602 has several extra buttons up top, one of which can be used as a shift button to turn those 6 side buttons into 12.

The 600 has a shift button on the ring finger rest which can turn the 12 side buttons into 24 if you need that many. Also, alot of people have said that the mouse wheel fails too soon in the 600. There are better alternatives:

The top-rated UtechSmart Venus: https://www.amazon.com/Gaming-Mouse-UtechSmart-Venus-Precision/dp/B00FNKMVUO

The Redragon Perdition: https://www.amazon.com/Perdition-Redragon-High-Precision-Computer-Programmable/dp/B00GU8W5AE

The Havit MMO mouse: https://www.amazon.com/HV-MS735-12000DPI-Programmable-Optical-PMW3360/dp/B01DW2VQ5A

Those are some more options besides the G600. Redragon has excellent reviews. All the mice I've listed above have excellent reviews. All you have to do is choose. :)

u/TheDon_Perignon · 1 pointr/MouseReview

Looking For: Claw Grip, at least 4000 DPI, 5+ buttons (preferably right thumb)

Budget: $50

Handedness: Right

Currently Using: Logitech M705 (perfect shape and buttons but not a gaming mouse, way low DPI and polling rate)

Tried: Redragon Mammoth

Details:

I got this awesome Redragon Mammoth for Christmas. For 30 bucks, it's a steal with plenty of buttons and as much as 16400 DPI.

I've never had a gaming mouse before but find 4000 DPI both intuitive and comfortable to use. I could probably move it higher as I acclimate so I'd like to be able to go higher but at this point not a necessity.

The only issue is I use a Claw grip and this is clearly designed for Palm. Over long play sessions it causes my thumb to feel pain/strain since I need to bend it unnaturally to reach the side buttons.

I have to return it, it's causing me physical pain, but I don't know what to replace it with.

EDIT: Some more detail. The M705 has three side buttons (one is actuated by squeezing near the base) and the scroll wheel support left/right tilt. I find the three thumb buttons and the tilt to be quite perfect.

TLDR: I want an M705 with 4000+ DPI and 1000 MHz polling rate.

EDIT2: Based on how active this sub is, I think I just waited too long to post in this thread. Making this it's own thread =)

u/Picksle · 2 pointsr/MouseReview

Just because streamers use something, doesn't mean it will be good for you. I'm sure it's a good mouse, but you might not like it.

However, if you are interested in that kind, the G305 is better if you use a chargable lithium battery like this and any AAA to AA adapter, or an aluminum foil ball. Instead of just a regular AA battery. It's the same thing but wireless, and Logitech wireless performs the same as wired, so you don't have to worry about disconnect or latency.

u/Liron12345 · 1 pointr/MouseReview

Ok, so that's a pretty interesting shape.

At first glance I must say it reminds me the mm520

While it doesn't share the same exact shape and dimensions, it still got that pinky/ring finger rest on the right side if you are into that stuff. +It's really cheap and well made. (Durable PBT Plastic, Best sensor on the market, Omron Switches) It does have a software but you don't have to use it, you can use the mouse just fine without using the software it'll just remain on it's factory settings like RGB colors (which can be turned off) and DPI stages. I'd still recommend checking the program tho, as the mouse got on board memory so you just change your settings once and they are being saved.

I assume the mm520 it's slightly bigger than the logitech marble but I see no issue adjusting to it.

u/OddTheViking · 3 pointsr/MouseReview

I have somewhat large hands, but I have been very happy with my Redragon Mammoth.

Adjustable DPI is nice. I don't move my wrist either, and it's easy to grip.

u/CosmonautJizzRocket · 1 pointr/MouseReview

It was this: https://www.amazon.com/Changing-Charging-Management-Increased-Competitive-Mac/dp/B074FYDP1L

Except it was labeled as a different brand. Pretty sure it's the same with a different logo on it.

Honestly though, these are both super ugly and i wouldn't buy them again.

Something like this https://www.amazon.com/CASETHRONE-Gaming-Management-Bungee-Esports/dp/B071YYV73Y/ Looks much better and according to one review, works with the g403 cable.

u/DiscipleTD · 1 pointr/MouseReview

Here is the GPo. It has a fantastic sensor with no concern. Same shape as G203 with different (lighter) switches for Mouse 1 and 2.

Best mouse I've used if shape is excluded, but I personally didn't like the shape.

Logitech G Pro Gaming FPS Mouse with Advanced Gaming Sensor for Competitive Play https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01JPOLLTK/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i_oiWACbXNZZZCH

Edit: I definitely didn't forget the link or anything.

u/Aricil · 2 pointsr/MouseReview

Hm. What about the evga torq x5? I actually have one that I could sell you for less than your budget. It's a great mouse, just a little bit too flat for me personally. I got it and only used it for a few hours before putting it back into the box. Here's the Amazon link if you'd be interested. I'd give you a good deal on it as well.

https://www.amazon.com/EVGA-Customizable-Profiles-Ambidextrous-902-X2-1052-KR/dp/B00SV735GU

That bungee is pretty crap. The Zowie Camade is super solid, I have one and it's fantastic. There's a knock off on Amazon for $6 cheaper.

u/UnfoldingTime · 1 pointr/MouseReview

Maybe the MM520 ? its quite a bit more than the one you bought before but it's probably the best value you'll get with the features you want. Most performance mice don't have pinky rests and the ones that do are usually expensive MMO mice.

Old mouse broke, need new mouse for my laptop.

I found this mouse, and while it certainly looks attractive, but im not sure if this is what I need.

I tend to play shooters, though mostly not fps, but games like Warframe or isometric and third person games.

I am right handed, and my preferable budget is around $30 USD, but will not go above $50.

Hand length is ~22.23 (this is done with a tape measure so I cant be sure about exactness).

I tend to use the palm grip while web browsing and lite gaming, with the fingertip grip in other scenarios, or the claw if I get agitated.

I would prefer a mouse on the mid to heavy side, and I am a bit new to mice and it seems like an Adjustable DPI would be preferred, but more than 3000 seems a bit excessive.

I find having other buttons available for me very convenient to use with macros. I use both Windows 7 and Linux, and as this is a laptop, I would prefer a wireless mouse, but I have no problems with using a wired mouse. I would appreciate any help or recommendations from you guys.

As a Zowie fan boy one thing I admit is their Mouse Bungee is too expensive, in fact I believe Mouse Bungees in general are over priced. However this is one that's cheap and very reliable. All types of cable sizes fit in it. Here is the link, I own two of these and they are great.

zd talentech ember plus for 20 usd

giyach g310 for 15 usd

Both are EC2 clones with PMW3325 sensor and Huano switches. I'd say quality is very good for the price and they look pretty nice too.

If you want a PMW3360 and Omrons, this plugable performance mouse is probably the cheapest one at 30 usd, unless you can find a cheap G203 or some older discounted Logitech mice (for example G402)... although I'd still pick the plugable since it's plug&play - basically Zowie quality and features at an actually reasonable price.

u/lainemac · 2 pointsr/MouseReview

Definitely this one

The bottom is weighted and it makes it way more stable. Wife and I both love it.

u/litehound · 2 pointsr/MouseReview

Nixeus Revel is a good cheap mouse, but both it and the G203/G102 are ambidextrous, and cheap ergonomic(Designed to be held with a specific hand) mice are hard to find. The Rival 310 is an ergonomic mouse that seems to currently be on a long-term sale, and the Plugable is about the cheapest ergonomic mouse with a top-end sensor I know of, though it's fairly heavy and I don't know how good it is. And trust me, regardless of your skill level and what you strictly need, having a high-end sensor will really help you(Though the 3360 is as everyone will say, overkill for anyone)

u/iEscapeFromTarkov · 1 pointr/MouseReview

Im not sure how much this would be for you but look up the Hiraliy F300. I have been using for nearly 8 months without issues. It has software too, and you're able to change the polling rate, and have different profiles etc. Sensor is very nice for the price point. It was $19.99 for me. Hmm, these days, most non-gaming mice have been going wireless, so cheaper wired mce are hard to find, especially one with extra buttons. The Microsoft Comfort mouse is really one of the few choices that are affordable.

The Logitech M500 is one of the closest to your criteria, though it does not have a perfectly symmetrical shape, and is catered to right-handed users.

There are many wireless choices out there that you could easily find, and I reccommend getting those if you really do not want Microsoft Comfort Mice.

However, if you're really looking for high-quality mice under $40, you'll have to go gaming-grade. The Logitech G300S is about $30, and is truly ambidextrous. However, the button placement could be found uncomfortable for some people. Also has way more buttons than what you want.

The other gaming-grade choice is the G302, which has buttons on the right, despite being symmetrical.

EDIT: Found THIS and THIS. I wouldn't put too much trust in these though, you never know if they may have build quality issues.

u/william_nillington · 2 pointsr/MouseReview

Try the CM Storm Xornet II. Solid sensor, the firmware is a bit of a mess, but with a bit of tweaking it can work pretty damn well, and I think it could be a good size and shape for you.

Also, do you know of any mice off the top of your head that have buttons next to the Left Click (and Right Click) buttons?

My current mouse: https://www.amazon.com/Logitech-G300s-Optical-Gaming-910-004360/dp/B00RH6R7C4

I really like the two buttons next to Left Click and Right Click; I usually bind small actions to them like Stop/Attack Move in Dota 2, and Quick Melee in Overwatch. I'm not used to having buttons under my thumb, and I'm a little worried that I'd accidentally press them (never had buttons under my thumb before, so IDK how "easy" it is to accidentally press them).

Not a must-have for me, but I realized that it was something I quite liked about my current mouse. Only reason I'm switching is because my G300S right click is slightly broken; sometimes it "sticks", and right-clicking doesn't feel responsive occasionally :/ (Plus it feels a little small; I'd like a bigger mouse).

Thanks!

This is the mouse I'm currently using, it's just a random mouse I found on amazon a couple years ago. I'm not super knowledgeable on mice so I dunno what fits are better haha

EVGA X5 Optical is outrageously cheap right now. It actually has top of the line hardware, if you're fine with its shape it's the best mouse you can get for these money.

u/Uncommon_Cents_ · 2 pointsr/MouseReview

Or a Hiraliy F300, a good Chinese 3325-variant with the exact same shape that’s recommended within that same post. It’s currently going for $18 on Amazon.

u/Iskelion · 1 pointr/MouseReview

Probably something like this:

https://www.amazon.com/TENMOS-Ergonomic-Adjustable-Breathing-Compatible/dp/B07F2WVJVT

Or this (a shame it isn't quiet):
https://www.amazon.com/UtechSmart-Venus-16400-Precision-Gaming/dp/B00FNKMVUO

The thing is I don't know much about mice and it's brands, so maybe 2 that look similar to me it's really one worse than the other and paying 90% brand name, or one being more prone to malfunctions (kofkof* Razer).

I can bump the price if it's justified and I know the mouse is gonna last, I mean, the Naga cost me I think something like 80$ back when I bought it, but considering how it ended up, maybe I paid more than I should have, though a 175 dollars one would have to scratch my back and make me smoothies, lol.
But idk, maybe that's the standard pricing.

G300s is ambidextrous with 4 extra top buttons.i
It's also very cheap. Walmart and bestbuy were clearing them out for $15, you might find some around 20 or so now.
Other good ambi mice are the g203, gpro, and g305 though side buttons are only on the left.

I love browsing through the gaming mouse listings on Amazon. It seems like there's a never-ending supply of weird stuff coming out of China. Every time I look there's something new.

I like this one: Hiraliy F300, Deathadder shape. Avago 3050 sensor (low end but ok, and at least they bothered to tell you which sensor the mouse is actually using). Supporting software allowing customization (most mice in this price range don't have that).

Be aware that build quality will be suspect and customer / warranty support will either be poor or completely non-existent. You get what you pay for here.

A lot of people find the finger rest comfortable especially those with smaller to medium size hands. Don't know how well it works with Palm grip though, it's designed for claw.

g403 wireless is still on sale BTW.

It could be another option, but I do not really have all the cards regarding taxes, local prices, etc as I'm not from US.

g403w/g703 have the same performance as the wired g403. Just a few more grams.

If you like the shape, go for it.

u/jtjohnson15 · 1 pointr/MouseReview

This is my first one so I may not be the best to ask, but I really like this one. you may wanna look into other options if you don't have a rubber cable. The threaded ones tend to be a little thicker and this thing is a tight squeeze.

Do you need to have side buttons?
Because the razer abyssus could be a fit. Other suggestions include, but are not limited to: Deathadder 3.5g, Logitech G400s, Logitech G502, SteelSeries Rival (multicolored led), Minoix Avior 7000, and Roccat Savu,

u/afkshower · 1 pointr/MouseReview

That was a link to the 2013 krait.

Although it has older hardware, the shape is by far and away the most important part of the mouse. I've been using the model O since release and the g pro wireless before that, but if steelseries re-released the kinzu v1 with mouse accel and massive sensor prediction/angle-snapping, I would use it in a heartbeat as my main mouse. I think if you've played games for a long time, it makes finding a familiar shape so much more important.

Also -- If I've learned one thing from using the model o, it's that super-light mice are the real deal, and at 52g I fully intend on maining the mm710 from the day it comes out until a better small lightweight mouse comes out assuming it's even halfway decent, that's how bad the market is for small mice right now.

(Here's a link to the mm710 pre-order)

No idea about the g305, I know nothing about 3d printing mice, though I think the profile is more in line towards what you're looking for as far as shape.

u/chouetteonair · 1 pointr/MouseReview

You might have seen this already, but people were discussing the issue on Super User. To sum it up, coil whine is the suspect in this case and they suggested a few potential solutions.

> Short power drain procedure

  • Remove the battery of the mouse

  • Press and hold the left and right click buttons for 15 seconds.

  • Release the buttons and place the battery back properly. If possible, replace the old ones with a new single AA NiMH rechargeable battery.

  • Check if the mouse will feature the same coil noise.

I don't know what kind of batteries people have tested this mouse with, but this looks like a start.

EDIT: Just going to throw out the G403 wireless as well if you want a more conventional shape at a higher price, I've heard some good things about the wired version in gaming contexts.

For smaller hands I usually recommend the CM Storm Xornet ii or Genius Maurus.

I have used the same CM Storm Spawn (same shape as xornet ii) for around 5 years and the shape to me is irreplaceable as I have a similar grip type to yours though not quite as aggressive on the claw.

https://www.amazon.com/Cooler-Master-Optical-Lighting-SGM-2002-KLON1/dp/B017M4FT34/ref=sr_1_1?s=pc&ie=UTF8&qid=1467376968&sr=1-1&keywords=xornet+ii

u/Xasani · 6 pointsr/MouseReview

I would say yes.

My hands are the same size as yours, my main mouse used to be a G203 which has a very similar shape to the G305.

Use AAA Lithium Batter With this to reduce the weight of the mouse.

Looking for a 12-button mouse without the wide ring finger rest

I've got the UtechSmart Venus for the 12 side buttons, but it's giving me horrible hand strain. The body is too wide because the ring finger rest on the right makes it difficult to pickup the mouse to reposition and makes my hand cramp up. I've been using it for a while and I just can't adapt to this shape at all. I'm very much used to the traditional mouse shape where the sides curve inwards or are at least flat so I can pickup the mouse between thumb and ring finger, but the finger rest makes that impossible so I'm straining my pinky instead.

Are there any programmable 12 button mice without this kind of wide body? All the ones I've seen have the ring finger rest, making it too wide for my hands.

Would you mind going with off brands?

I have a claw grip which makes the logitech ungrippable

Roccat Nyth is also a reputable brand with keypads.

http://www.roccat.org/en-US/Products/Gaming-Mice/Nyth/

But if you are willing to try off brands, there is this thing by havit

And there is also one by utech

https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B00FNKMVUO/ref=psdcmw_172487_t1_B01DW2VQ5A

And another by red dragon

https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B00GU8W5AE/ref=psdcmw_172487_t1_B00FNKMVUO

I got my naga when they had the changeble side plates. I use the smallest one but the ledge is still too big for me to grip by my fingertips in claw comfortably.

I am expecting it to crap out in the near future and i dont really like that new naga design.
I suspect roccat's nyth will be just as uncomfortable for me as the razer naga.

I am looking at trying out the havit. I am glad more companies are daring to try to make mice with a keypad on the side.

If you already own the mice you mentioned, I would say stick with Kinzu V2. Logitech G500 is ok but a tad gimmicky. Weights and excessive DPI/CPI switch options, also I believe the sensor has prediction and acceleration.

u/Ant333Man · 1 pointr/MouseReview

I agree with the other comments saying to either check the connection on the cable or replace it with a paracord, but if you want to replace it this seems to be CM's replacement for it. It seems quite a bit longer though, so it's definitely not perfect.

u/kyuss80 · 5 pointsr/MouseReview

They made the Xornet, but I never managed to get one.

I've been keeping my eyes on a cheap Redragon mouse. They have one that looks "similar-ish" in shape to that of the Spawn... I really prefer a ring finger rest area.

Most of them in the Zowie style are really good.

I bought the Hotline one because its basically the same thing but cheaper. https://www.amazon.com/Mouse-Bungee-Mouse-Management-Device-Sporting/dp/B071YYV73Y

I see no reason to not have both paracord and a bungee. For some a Bungee offers less benefit but there are no cons to using one that I'm aware of and the only thing that both paracord and a bungee do is reduce cable drag. If his cable is hitting his monitor or most of it is hanging off the back of his desk paracord won't do much at all.

EVGA Torq X5. You can grab one for 20 bucks right now.

Comes with a 3988 and Omron switches on the main buttons. So if you have small to medium sized hands, it's a steal.

u/everythingiscausal · 1 pointr/MouseReview

Here's a hard one: I'm left handed, have pretty large hands, and am looking for a many-button mouse that is as ergonomic as possible. I'd like a minimum of 6 re-mappable buttons usable with a left hand. Wired or wireless, either is fine. Will be used with Windows 10 at work.

I was looking at this, but the button placement looks terrible and it's probably too small.

I'm also considering a Magic Trackpad 2. The gestures would probably make up for the lack of extra buttons, but it's expensive, and I don't know how well it will work with Windows with the custom drivers out there.

  • Weight: No preference
  • Connectivity: No Preference

Just wanted to throw out some thoughts you could look through if you hadn't seen em already:

  • Mionix
  • Havit
  • Razer - I do have experience with this one and it's a very comfortable mouse, but the razer software ruins everything for me but there's a hiraliy knockoff
  • Coolermaster - this mouse had razer sharp edges between the side button that cut me, returned because I don't have time for that, but it's a PBT mouse
  • Swiftpoint - not in your budget but i like it, forced claw grip mouse
