The MP510 is the roughest pad I know in terms of feel of the material, so a certain scratchiness is part of the deal -- just know that this is mostly due to the type of fabric used and not something that actually 'scratches' your mouse more than a standard cloth pad, in other words you'll have that same sensation on just about any hybrid pad, just to a lesser degree. That scratchiness is only heard, not felt however, it should not impact the way your mouse moves at all.

Since you are from Germany like me I recommend you order either one of those three pads or all three of them from Amazon and return all but the one you like. I've done that every time I've chosen a pad without issues:

a) The AMP500. The most recommended pad on this sub, this should feel the least 'scratchy' or 'gritty' out of them all but it's also the slowest option, though not by much. It's a very fast pad that still offers a good degree of control, making it a good choice in just about every situation. If the sound (or the psychology behind the sound) bothers you the most I assume this'll be your best choice

b) The GLIDE 21. Basically the same pad as the AMP500 but ever so slightly faster with a bumpier and rougher surface, which again isn't necessarily felt in-game, but the difference can be slightly heard. People usually choose the GLIDE over the AMP only because the GLIDE 38 is larger than the AMP since the AMP is considered to be of a higher quality, but if you want to save a few bucks or care about this very slight difference the GLIDE 21 should be just as good an option.

c) The SPC Endorphy (the L option). This thing is speed and nothing but speed. It's made from the same material as the MP510 but a lot smoother -- you'll still hear the scratchiness but it'll feel like sliding the mouse on ice. This thing has basically no control, which isn't necessarily a bad thing but can take some getting used to.

I live with a few cats and they all like to walk on my mousepads 😼 I just wipe down the pad with my hand to get all the hair and crumbs off. You can also buy a lint brush like this one. I have one and it works on getting the hairs that my hand can’t wipe off, but some hairs get into the threads and those can’t be taken off by the brush.

Edit: read your post again. For the paw prints you can wash the pad in soap and water in your sink and let it air dry. Glorious claims their mouse pads are machine washable. Rocket Jump Ninja on YouTube has a video on how to wash your mousepads

Glorious Mousepad https://www.pcgamingrace.com/products/glorious-extended-11x36-stealth-edition

Coolermaster MP510 http://www.coolermaster.com/product/Lines/pads/

Steelseries Qck Edge Extended https://steelseries.com/gaming-mousepads (Stiched edge version for durability)

Logitech G840 https://www.logitechg.com/en-gb/products/gaming-mouse-pads/g840-cloth-xl-gaming-mouse-pad.html (This one has no stiched edging so if you want the best durability maybe not this one it's very overpriced aswell imo but good pad for FPS very little friction)

They also have alot of non-branded or no name company extended ones on Amazon which are well priced that'll serve just fine for example https://www.amazon.com/Vipamz-Extended-Non-Slip-Rubber-Textured/dp/B0199GE7RC/ref=sr_1_8?ie=UTF8&qid=1543414062&sr=8-8&keywords=extended+mousepad

It might be an error but the Mionix Sargas 900 (the XL size) is £4 atm x.x

edit: Looks like there is a newer version but this still looks like a bargan

Where'd you hear that? I think the only real concern with them is how they impact your LOD and that they might be a little too fast.

I think if you are looking for speed and have a high lod and 22 bucks, it's worth a shot. Perfect for plastic pad speed demons.

I use this one for my setup and board games. I own 3 of these.

Idk if you realize how small 5x5 is. But if you want "ice" feeling you're probably going to be fairly disappointed even with most hard pads. Eventually feet get worn and you won't have that consistent feel.

I think you'll prefer a different solutoon, and save more money, by installing ceramic mouse feet.
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07MW5XJ8G/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i_ufh1DbKZ196WM

You don't need to put it in the slots where your feet are at, just make sure they're spaced wide enough that the mouse doesn't rock.

But essentially ceramic feet slide much better than any ptfe feet. Ceramic should also not degrade over time so you'll get a consistent feel always.

Does it have the same surface as this one?

u/ferrousferret28 · 1 pointr/MousepadReview

Just purchased exactly what you're looking for, give me a minute to find it in my purchase history.

Edit: this mousepad fits under my K95 and still has plenty of room for my mouse to move across 3 monitors

u/Geowzer · 1 pointr/MousepadReview

Uh, the MP510 doesn't have rgb lights... You might be looking at the wrong mousepad.

I mostly researched slick materials, which led me to teflon and UHMW, and searched for teflon pads and saw the CS Hyde and the Ult-Mat (discontinued) and one by rude gaming (https://www.amazon.com/Gameware-RUDE-220-Fierce-Ultra-Slick-Steel-Surface/dp/B003TT1JDQ), that had some bad reviews.

Mad Catz The Authentic G.L.I.D.E. 38 Gaming Surface https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07PJLZ9CG/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_FSW6CbQQB9DNH pretty much a scabbard but no problems. I own the scabbard and have no problems with it btw but I’ve heard nothing but good reviews on the glide 38
