It's not free, its MTV's add on channel for Prime subscribers called MTV Hits . It costs $3 a month after a week long free trial. They give access to the last ten seasons I think.

the episodes are pretty expensive, but i purchased a pass for the whole season when it was randomly on sale for only $5 or so. usually the episodes are available by the time i wake up on thursday but episode 11 hasn't gone up yet.
Don't think it's an early release, if anything seems like it's an old discontinued piece. I've found it only on ebay/Amazon and they have limited sizes for both.
