Cute! We have an activity mat or that's exactly what I would have gotten! My mom picked out a crib piano so he will get that (and will love. He has been getting more into noises and loves to kick) and I picked out two crinkle animals that are also teethers.

Do you have a floor mat/baby gym? We have one already (fisher price rainforest, I think) but we're getting a different one because our little guy is so kicky! We're getting the Discover and Grow Kick Piano!

We're also getting books. We found a line of cloth books with peekaboo parts in them Not as fun for a 2 month old, but they'll be fun in the next few months.

And we may get a little bolster pillow to make tummy time more fun. It won't be useful until Feb or so when he really starts looking/grabbing, but a friend's baby has one and she loves it!

Do you just use these receiving blankets instead of burp cloths? The best burp cloths are actually cloth diapers, I love these, we use them for everything, I bought 5 or 6 packs of them. Don't skimp out and get the cheaper 3-ply ones, my mom bought us some of those thinking it was a deal and they are kinda useless.

Rattling cagey toys like OBall Rollie Rattles, teething rings (he LOVES these), and we have a few different toys that can be hanged from his activity gym mat thing. We also have an exer saucer we put him in that lights up with music and such. We have a push toy for when he starts to walk a little, but too young for that so far. We have TONS of board and plush books that he seems to like to chew on. We also have a few stuffed animals we let him hold and chew on (supervised).

It was pretty cheap (it looks like it actually went down in price a bit since I bought one) and converts to a table and chair for when he needs that.
