Better late than never! In case anyone is interested in my book for later polls, The Great Hearts is 0.99 at the moment. A dark fantasy adventure that follows the life of Imperator Calidan Darkheart and his hunt for a monster from his youth. The question is, will Calidan will be just as twisted and monstrous as the creature he hunts by the time he catches it?

TRAITOR by Krista D. Ball (KristaDBall)

>Seven years ago, Rebecca St. Martin took the coward’s path to save her skin. She has lived with that decision, eking out a life as an indentured servant on a space station far from home. Only now, fate has decided to give Rebecca another chance. A ghost from her past plans to execute a daring rescue from the prison bowels of the station Rebecca now works.

> Rebecca has to face the same decision she made all those years ago. Could she watch her friends be murdered? Or could she, just for once, be a hero?

Hi. I'm am an author who has recently coalesced into physical form.

My book is here: https://www.amazon.com/dp/1521264392

I have been repeatedly told I am terrible at advertising, so here is the blurb:

Queen Evelina is the victorious hero of the war that freed her countrymen from tyrannical invaders and her own wicked father. She is revered by the people—mighty of arms, inspired with strategy and relentless in tenacity... thirsty of blood, towering with pride, and cemented in obstinance—she is feared by the people. Old enemies seek her ruin, the fall of her kingdom and a return to power. Known as the Dawnmaiden to those who love her, and as the Bloody Virgin to those that hate her; will Evelina overcome her own flaws and spite, or will she become indistinguishable from the villains she fights? Dead Kings is a character driven fantasy epic in a vast world of warring kingdoms, conquering empires and godlike necromancers.

And here is a review by some guy:

This book is one of those hidden gems that makes you glad you chanced across it. Wilson creates a world which is believably realistic, stepped in history and lore without overburdening the plot, which flows nicely, although with plenty of twists and turns to keep the reader guessing. The action is engaging and character interactions are gripping, be they humorous or dramatic, and it has one of the most respectful depictions of a same-sex romantic relationship I’ve seen in western media. The prose is at once poetic and relatably mundane, as the author is unafraid to paint a beautiful picture in words just to make a silly, if not humorous, joke. The effect is as if one were channeling the stylings of John Scalzi and H. P. Lovecraft at the same time, and as odd as that pairing might sound, Wilson just makes it work. I highly recommend this to fans of fantasy of any flavor, to those looking for the works of George R. R. Martin without all the hatred for life and joy.

The eBook is available for $4.99. The book is ~166,000 words, so it should potentially be worth that price. I will now shut up before I put my foot in my mouth.

My best starter is easily Klondaeg the Monster Hunter

Klondaeg is a simple Dwarf with a simple plan: rid the world of monsters. When he was a boy, his parents were killed by unidentified monsters, and he swore revenge against all of them. Armed with a talking battle axe with a split personality, Klondaeg travels the countryside, slaying everything from tiny werewolves to gold-devouring demons. He negates prophecies, disproves history, and even comes face to face with Acerbus, the god of darkness himself. But will he ever find the thing that killed his parents?

It's good for people who want something light and (hopefully) funny that pokes at fantasy cliches.
