Welcome to the club!!
Sub to /r/vita now if you'd like. A niche community of course but always helpful, aside from their discouraging saltiness given the way that Sony has treated the Vita. Their complaints are valid but sometimes it clogs up the place and makes it toxic.

Never played Tearaway but heard it is a "Must-have" and never touched the Final Fantasy series aside from being an avid gamer

since around '94-'95^shhh^don't^tell

P4G is amazing! (but everyone is pretty much going to tell you that.) But it really is one of my favorite video games ever to date. Just be warned that it takes a long ass time to get to the actually gameplay (about 2 hours.) When I started it, I was on a short road trip so it didn't bother me at all, but I still feel like even if I wasn't I wouldn't have gotten bored and begged for gameplay (which can't be said about a lot of story heavy games). Still think it deserves a warning, and after that though the story vs. gameplay is pretty balanced. Also you can skip through all the cutscenes and even fast forward the dialogue but I feel like you would really be doing a disservice to yourself.

One last thing, I prefer to own physical copies of games that are very long and I know I will be playing extensively to save memory. P4G is almost always $20 bucks on amazon I know it's more expensive than what's on sale now but just throwing it out there.

Yeah and the best part is all these great series are being released as special collections now.

If you are looking to play a lot of PS1 games AND get the chance to play any vita/psp games you have gotten from Plus, look into getting a PS TV. It lets you play all those games for much cheaper then getting a new PS3, and it also lets you remote play your ps4 if you plug them into separate rooms.

Is this the rapture pack you were talking about? http://www.amazon.com/BioShock-Ultimate-Rapture-Edition-Xbox-360/dp/B009WI7V9E/ref=sr_1_5?ie=UTF8&qid=1383011720&sr=8-5&keywords=bioshock I haven't played the DLC actually but the online PS+ one seems like a better deal to me. Unless you greatly prefer physical games.

If you worrying about HDD space, there are some great deals on Amazon and Rakuten right now:

u/helpimaGOAT · 3 pointsr/PlayStationPlus

Yepp! It's super convenient. Here's the link just in case, you just have to make sure the description says [Digital Code].

u/Jlopezane · 15 pointsr/PlayStationPlus

If you can, invest in one of these. Best $100 I’ve ever spent and now I longer have to worry about deleting games.

Set yourself up an alert on Camel and you'll get pinged when the price drops @ Amazon

You can also see what the pricing history has been, was $39 during the holidays last year...bought 12 cards and stacked the grandkids up for three years.

My HDMI went out a few months ago and I don't know how to replace it so I went online and bought some [HD A/V cables] (http://www.amazon.com/Premium-Resolution-Component-Cable-Playstation-3/dp/B0013OM528/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1381329810&sr=8-1&keywords=ps3+hd+av+cables) on Amazon. They look great and I haven't noticed a huge difference. Plus they're only $6!

u/crazyguzz1 · 2 pointsr/PlayStationPlus

Yup - on the amazon us site, you don't even need to wait for the card to be shipped to you. They'll just email you a digital code that you can enter on your PlayStation. The same goes for PSN cash - you can just buy it all through amazon and never have to give sony any credit information.

Nope. You should upgrade to a 500GB - 1TB drive if you plan on keeping a lot of games on your PS3 at once and buying discounted games regularly. If not, you'll probably be able to do just fine with a 250GB. The price difference is pretty small though.

Here's a cheap hard drive I found after 30 seconds of searching.

Yes. I often purchase PSN digital codes directly from Amazon.com, which are emailed to me (no physical card involved).
https://www.amazon.com/20-PlayStation-Store-Gift-Card/dp/B004RMK4BC/

You add them to your PSN wallet, per the guide instructions.
https://www.playstation.com/en-ae/get-help/help-library/store---transactions/voucher-redemption/how-to-redeem-a-voucher-code-using-playstation-app-or-web-browse/

When you have a sufficient balance in your PSN wallet, you can purchase PS+.
https://www.playstation.com/en-gb/get-help/help-library/playstation-plus/information---benefits/how-to-buy-playstation-plus-membership/

Alternatively, you could order a PS+ digital code directly and redeem it straight to your account without going through your PSN wallet.

I don't believe 1 month is an option anymore.

http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B004RMK57U/ref=pd_lpo_sbs_dp_ss_2?pf_rd_p=1535523722&pf_rd_s=lpo-top-stripe-1&pf_rd_t=201&pf_rd_i=B00HHZ455C&pf_rd_m=ATVPDKIKX0DER&pf_rd_r=156MVC52BG7W7M01E79H

This is the digital copy for a 3 month membership, but the amazon page states that you need a US address. Likely you can work around that, but I'm not sure 100% how.

I checked Amazon.co.uk and did not see any region locking on their UK PS+/PSN cards. If you don't own things on your US Account, maybe it's worth switching over to a UK Account?

I got this 500gb hard drive two and a half months ago for $57.

It's only $48.50 now.

With downloading every single free games on PSN since then, and then a handful more that I've purchased, I'm only about 200 gb full or so. It'll be probably just enough to finish this generation off when you add in all of the titles I'll still download after the PS4 launches.

I have a 4TB WG Passport external that just plugs in through USB. Setup was quick and easy, Transferred everything to it and only paid $120.00. I do see here they have the black one on sale, the same one i have, for $99.00. WG has 2 types "My passport" and "My Book", The big difference is that the "My book" uses a power cord and the "My Passport" does not.

I know the feeling... I'm currently at full capacity and I'll need to buy something like this when I finally decide to splurge on a PS4

And a WiiU and xbone in 10 years...

u/Ayan_Faust · 7 pointsr/PlayStationPlus

It looks like Amazon is saying LBP3 and not a hero for this month on ps4. https://www.amazon.com/1-Year-PlayStation-Plus-Membership-Digital/dp/B004RMK5QG/ref=dp_olp_1?th=1

> I'm glad that my only part in it now is leaving the random comment from time to time. Cheers!

Don't forget getting downvoted, that takes time and effort as well.

>I don't think it's worth my time, money, or PS space to stay subscribed.

Bad logic is bad. In terms of time, no one is forcing you to play the games you don't want to play. The cost of one year of full retail PSN+ is $49.99 (I wont even mention that most get them for $40 during sales). At that cost, that's less than $5 per month. You can't even go to the movies for $5 in any major city. If you were to impulse buy a single fountain soda one time per week for $1.25, you could subsidize your entire years PSN+ subscription, respectufully, you fcking moron.

In terms of space, for virtually pennies you can A) upgrade your harddrive to a 250GB or B) realize that you only need to have enough space for the games you are currently playing which for most people is 2-3 at a time.

So before you call anyone back asswards I would take a little look in the mirror as you make zero sense with your self-pat on the back posts.

And lastly, if you don't sub to PSN+, why are you trolling our sub reddit?

u/awol5943 · 1 pointr/PlayStationPlus

Sure does.

Edit: removed link because it didn't work.

Edit 2: working link

For those that don't want the Bundle and prefer disc, Tomb Raider is on sale for the $20 on amazon. http://amzn.com/B004FS8LYK

u/bleucheese7 · 1 pointr/PlayStationPlus

you may be able to purchase a PSN card on amazon and then buy the subscription form the store. I cannot guarantee that it will work.

u/yeeeeeeegg · 2 pointsr/PlayStationPlus

Don't know if amazon uk is a viable option for you, but it quite cheap there at the moment, link

Do not buy that hard drive dude. I just got a 750 GB Western Digital for that price. And you don't need anything above 5400 rpm.
