Personally I would strongly recommend a pixel first gen. Firstly its not too expensive. Also to unlock the bootloader is relatively easy. Even if you have the verizon version. With this step I recommend just formatting to factory following the steps and if it doesn't work repeat until it does. Twrp is an easy install. Just need ADBand TWRP. And Magiskis simple and straight forward. Smali with AppNinja GPS joy is going to be how you spoof. Everything before this point is to get your device ready. BTW I don't work for any of these guys its just how I do it and have had no issues.


Why I recommend pixel? Because most of this has been fleshed out really well. The stock rom works really fucking well. The device is old enough to be cheap and dissected over heavily enough that documentation is everywhere, but also packs quite a punch. The other reason I recommend pixel is because to return to stock and recover from a brick is simple and straight forward. And because google gives you all the tools to do it. Lastly pixel is planned to be updated to the newest Android OS. Which means once all the hacks get updated you can move forward with hopefully a better and smoother OS.


But as tasty banana peppers has said. All those company devices work I just feel pixel is the easiest to work with. This is coming from a guy who use to do it on an S4 and didn't enjoy the experience at all.

It works for me even without closing the bag or folding the top. I can literally stick my hand inside, keeping it open, and my GPS signals are still gone.

EDIT: I should mention, I have small hands, so it's easy to put my hand and/or a stylus inside that particular bag. If you have average or larger size hands, you may want to go one bag size up so it's easier to touch your screen.

Good point, I see on eBay some come from China. So who knows if those are knock offs. I bought mine from Gamestop today like a sucker. it was $45 which is on the high end, but I live a bit remote and don't want to wait a week or so for shipping. Maybe take a few old console games in for trade to help offset it? That is if you don't mind the horrible trade in prices.

I saw now that vibe k5 note is not being sold anymore, nor did I find any used sets on eBay. But another model, vibe k8 note is available for $270 on Amazon global store. It's surprisingly cheaper in India, where the price is 10k INR ($144).

It's security patch level will be around late 2017 if OS update is not done out of the box, which means you can spoof without root. Anyways, rooting guide is readily available on XDA developers website, which means it is possible to root.

I personally have the basic gotcha and love it. Battery lasts a few hours but charges in five minutes. I would consider getting the dual catchmon for the multi account functionality.

About $15 worth of materials for a make-shift GPS Jamming station. Upside is you don't have to worry about maiming, scratching, overheating your device with layers of foil. Downside is you must be within 6-8 meters of a wall outlet to plug your station in to.
