THE BEST book about the Cincinnati Reds is, without a doubt in my mind, The Redleg Journal.

It's like... The Encyclopedia Red-tannica. It takes you day by day, year by year, through the history of the Reds and all their important games, trades, seasons, uniforms, anything and everything you could think of.

I absolutely love it.

Also, you mentioned Game day audio on MLB, it's a great investment. Hearing Marty call the games is a quintessential part of being a Reds fan, and I think it's around $20 for the whole season, it's a great value.
(Although, as most of us on /r/reds will tell you, Marty's "talent" is starting to go downhill a little bit.. He's kind of turning into a cranky old guy who doesn't like a lot of modern changes to the game.)

Lastly, join us here on /r/reds for baseball discussion and live game day threads!!

Welcome to the team!

Get this. It's "expensive" for ramen but it's actually pretty good stuff.

Sounds fun! A great resource for some of this might be this book

Joe Poesnanski (sp) - forgive me) has a pretty good book regarding the rise, fall, and dominance of The Big Red Machine. Quick read and it'll definitely get you psyched for the season.

He's been singing for quite a while. I could take it or leave it, honestly. I think it's a nice thing the Reds are letting him do considering he'll probably retire after this season.

Analyzing Baseball with R is the best book, I believe:

I also would download PitchRX and Baseball on a Stick to round out your toolkit!

This streamlining of the minor leagues is inevitable. If you haven't read the book MVP Machine (and if you're a Reds fan you really should since it features Trevor Bauer and Kyle Boddy prominently), then at least read this article by the author called "Do we even need minor league baseball". Sawchik explains why the current minor league system is incredibly inefficient for player development, and how some teams are already shifting away from the traditional model.

Most likely will have to go online. this one is a generic one, the actual microsoft ones are a little more expensive. Mine's actually a generic gamestop brand one but it does the trick.
