The biggest recommendation: take care of yourself. I.e. listen to your body. Picture yourself as a Sim character. When you feel like your levels are depleted, respond to that. I've known numerous people who had a bad trip or a rough day because they a. forgot to eat food or b. didn't drink enough water.

Now water is plentiful in the Gorge. There are like a million places to fill up your water bottle. But food is - sub par. It's like carnival food. Be sure to bring a lot of healthy protein and carb rich snacks - think nuts, bars etc. Even if you don't feel hungry you should always be refueling your body - particularly when you are enjoying yourself on goodies.

I would also recommend bringing a camping shower: https://www.amazon.com/RISEPRO-gallons-Temperature-Indicator-Climbing/dp/B01H1UC02C/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1482944903&sr=8-2-spons&keywords=camping+shower&psc=1

For those who don't want to wait in line, it's very useful and can provide you a quick wake up. Plus if you leave the shower on top of your car, the water will get nice and warm.

Have fun!

Most people hate the look of them, but I have been using my Vibram Five Finger shoes for most festivals including Sasquatch for about 7 years now. They make me feel superhuman running up and down with ridiculously awesome grip. Practically feel like you aren't wearing anything at all, and still a surprising good deal of protection from random steps from strangers.

What really helps me with the dust is a Neti Pot every morning and evening (if you're in the state of mind that allows). Better yet, a Navage which works a ton better and is a lot more sanitary to use which is something your camp neighbors will appreciate.

Basically the dust is clogging your sinuses and ya need to wash it out.

I think that I am going to go with your idea for the flag but instead of a large amount of small balloons I am going to get a weather balloon!. I was also thinking about putting a small strobe light inside the balloon but I dont think it would last the entire festival. Any thoughts or suggestions? Look for the weather balloon and party with me!

Alternative alcohol solution: sneak in hard alcohol in water bottles and use it to create mixed drinks. Any clear alcohol will work but my personal favorite is to bring tequila and a small bottle of fresh lime juice in and add them to the frozen margaritas they sell on the side of the hill.

Water bottle sealing methods:
• buy caps and refill the bottles

• pry the lids off without breaking the seal and reuse the caps, here's an instruction video.

I crotch one of these at every festival I go to. You just need tight underwear, and don't tell the people you share with where it's been.
(They are sold at BevMo)

Get yourself some nice earplugs! Not only will they protect your ears and allow you to be towards the front all weekend, they will really come in handy at night when you sleep.

I purchased these and they have saved my life many times. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01G94MS9Q/ref=oh_aui_search_detailpage?ie=UTF8&psc=1

Also bring allergy medicine, flonase is my preference. A few years back I was hit with hay fever and the first two days were miserable. If allergies are a problem for you, start taking Zertec at least a week before so it can get in your system.

try these just drink the water, refill with clear liquor and screw a new cap on the bottle.

Alternatively, don't be the kind of person who thinks this is a wild invention by a price-gouging company and pay a fraction of the amount:

You can also buy PET bottlecaps at any homebrew shop.

edit: Are there any other things like this going on at sasquatch?

and it's fairly shitty. Bring way more food and booze than you can handle and try to eat before you go in. I used these last year to get in liquor every day to add to slushies and sodas.
