Oh wow, that's definitely an interesting find (Amazon has had the same listing description and I never noticed). I'm not sure if this actually confirms anything 100%, but I was at the original Kodansha USA announcement panel for these boxsets and remember the staff specifying that each set would match up with the seasons. For me, the ending volume for the set could still very well change (Or they could morph this to a 2-parter like the Season 1 manga box sets), as 16 is indeed a very odd place to end.

What will finally 100% confirm the episode number will likely be when Japanese e-tailers start listing the season 3 DVD details. I don't necessarily doubt the current leaked information of 24, but it would be nice to finally get assurance from the Japanese side as well :)

Yep. They are on YouTube in mediocre quality and chopped up into 5 minute bits. You can buy an english subbed dvd by buying the special edition manga chapter (from 17 to 20 I forget which is which). This comes with the disc.

Wait and see. Amazon US apparently doesn't list it anymore, Amazon Canada states August 7, 2018 while Amazon UK states September 28, 2017. Other websites like Otaku Calendar say September 26, 2017. Actually, Otakus should know.

It only exists as a novel that you must buy (haven't found any place online where you can read it) Here it is on Amazon.

The cover for the first one is a stand-in. They always use that one when the cover hasn't been revealed yet but they want to have pre-orders available. I guess they just forget to change it to the Vol.26 cover.

As you can see here, they also use the cover with RBA as titans and EMA in front. Just buy whichever's cheaper or more convenient for you.

Basically Lost Girls is an adaption of short stories of Annie and Mikasa.

They recently got released as manga and they're quite cheap.

Do not buy that collection if you cannot read Japaneses!!! There currently is no box set for English yet (at least none I am aware of) so just buy the single volumes from amazon or your local book store. AoT is crazy popular and most book stores will have some in stock.

As far as the novels go, the one with Angel is currently out in English (http://www.amazon.com/Attack-Titan-Before-Fall-Novel/dp/1939130867/ref=sr_1_6?ie=UTF8&qid=1412974137&sr=8-6&keywords=before+the+attack+on+titan), but you're right, so far there's no dates for the other two, as far as I'm aware.

This is probably unlikely (not to mention somewhat off-topic) but I think S3 might be even longer than 25 episodes: the teaser showed the latest manga cover, and while I'm not a manga reader (yet), I doubt it would take as little as 25 episodes to get that far.
