best snow i found the exact recipe should be in this blog. the snow he used together with the elmer white glue is very expensive in germany (55€, huge bottle), so i just just elmer white glue ~5€ and the cheapest snow flakes i could find(4€) and the effects are great.

you can mix it to make it look like snow, snow/ice or snow mud and i love the effect.

In regards to the sword

Get a thin hobby saw ( https://www.amazon.com/Tamiya-300074094-Photo-Etched-Craft-Saw/dp/B003JTGZY4 ). Cut right below the guard along the top of the hand on both the left and right (edit: handed swords). You may need to file an angle into it to get it to match, but then glue and use some plastic filler or liquid green stuff to fill any gaps.

I actually use plastic sprue shavings and melt them with extra thin cement as a plastic filler (i doesn't take much. only need to touch the brush to it.)

Good luck

I use these:

And either line the bottom with metal like this and glue magnets to my bases:

Or I just got some of this and it also seemed to work well:

My thunderwolves and Bjorn have a few craft magnets glued to their bases and the metal option has worked great. Getting magnets to stay glued to the base was the hardest part and the larger bases don't move at all during transport.

The foam is pluck foam, and I used it for some bikes and terminators without too much trouble. It's a little smaller than the case, put I used the foam that I plucked and made an outside row of foam to keep the main tray in place and for extra storage

Prismacolor 3620 Premier Double-Ended Art Markers, Fine and Chisel Tip, 12 Pack https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00006IFGK/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_SgFyCbBR18BVM

Here’s the brand I use (link goes to a gigantic set in the wrong size...I use 005 size, and I grab them singly from Michael’s). I got them to add “script” to Celestine’s gigantic scrolls.

So I've been trying to get more into basing and wanted some ice effect for my wolves. I've seen a lot of tutorials on getting white Ice but I came up with something I felt more realistic looking.

No texture, I just painted russ grey down then watered down ceramite white and covered the base. Then I just plopped a ton of Clear crackle paint and let it dry. The thicker you lay it on the bigger the cracks.
