My garage has a big pile of these:

Each one holds 44 of the standard size boxes pretty nicely.
They're not air tight but they do a pretty good job of keeping moisture out and they stack on top of each other securely.
It's the Revell model kit. You need to build and paint it yourself but it's an excellent, well detailed model. http://www.amazon.co.uk/Revell-U-S-S-Voyager-Star-Trek/dp/B002BFG20E

I have 3 of these full and I'm working on the fourth right now:

They work good for the standard boxes but the larger special issues and XL ships waste a lot of space. One box has over 120 of the standard boxes and the other 2 are filled with the larger boxes.
I love the ships but I'm running out of room to store them. I'm wondering if maybe I should go with smaller storage boxes so they are easier to store on the shelves. Do the boxes you use have a lot of wasted space with the 44 ships in them?
I'd start with the Destiny Trilogy. best Star Trek story I've ever read.
