Not a dumb question at all. Personally I don't agree with many of Logan's reviews/opinions when it comes to audio, but having a decent driver for your headphones/speakers is a great investment if you are an audiophile. [I think you are after something like this though. It is a very good unit.

I am sure others will also have input/suggestions but this is just one of the top of my head

An alternative is an internal sound card to drive your audio and a good entry level card that makes a world of difference over most onboard audio drivers is one of these.

There are alternatives to fit most use cases and budgets so if you want more info, feel free to ask.

It is worth adding that audio will only sound as good as the weakest link in the chain. If the initial quality/bit rate or the headphones/speakers aren't that good, purchasing a good driver will not make a difference. I can also expand on this if you want

:D Good to hear, I ended up finging a bargain just now on amazon http://www.amazon.co.uk/BenQ-GW2765HT-LED--inch-Monitor/dp/B00M913DVG/ref=sr_1_sc_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1418607720&sr=8-1-spell&keywords=beng+1440p

I checked the review on TFT central whom I trust a fair bit and decided that this BenQ is a absolute steal "got it discounted to £280" if I take into account a korean monitor at £240 the import VAT in the uk would make it more like £290 anyways. response times are basically the same as the QNIX but its got a better stand and matte finish. I don't care too much personally about overclocking 60hz is all I care for :D I'm buying from the UK so I have more confidence although I kinda despise Amazon. anyways I still plan on grabbing a QNIX in the future for a second monitor.

Found it! It was this one.

Mind you, I'm by no means an expert, and considering how vast the photography world is, I could really benefit from a video titled "photography for dummies".

So far I've settled for a Nikon D3300 and a 35mm f/1.8G lens (which I'll be getting in the near future), which considering my "amateur" status, should be more than enough.

I felt that this video made a better job explaining the differences between ISO levels than his, for instance.
