It looks like this was a big Christmas toy for rich parents in 2008. It originally retailed for $299.99.
Talked to a couple at their garage sale, and they said their son was afraid of it. They were asking $100 but we got it for $30. Pretty sure this is going to my boyfriend's sister's 3 kids. Regardless, it was funny driving around with it in the back of the car.
All non-gaming Roku remotes should be compatible with the 2XS.
A gaming remote is nicer though, because the remote doesn't require line-of-sight and the buttons are easier to press / are more responsive. However, you need to buy a gaming remote specific to the 2XS, as they are not compatible between different model numbers. (Don't bother with the games themselves though... rubbish.)
There's also an official remote app for smartphones.

One annoyance is that you need to supply your credit card number to establish your Roku account.... ostensibly so you're ready to subscribe to pay channels or rent-stream movies from Amazon, Vudu, Red Box, etc. Establishing your Roku account doesn't actually cost anything. When I do subscribe to a pay channel, it's much easier to do it through a web browser and then validate the channel on my Roku box.
When you get the remote, it needs to be paired with your Roku box. Instructions should be on Roku's website.
Ok so I got the legs from goodwill for $5 in the box and everything. But I honestly think they have them at Home Depot for like 20. I got the handles on amazon-they were an opened box. They were silver and the legs were black so I spray painted. I did sand it but not very much lol. The color is starlessnight by behr. Safety razors are fantastic. You save so much money even when you buy the best blades. Once I got the technique down, I get virtually no irritation after a shave. With those stupid 5 blade razors I was guaranteed red bumps on my neck for the next few days.
Astra superior platinum blades are my favorite that I've tried. They're a little more expensive but the quality is fantastic and I get 3-4 shaves off each one.

My wife and I received that same waffle maker for our wedding over 10 years ago and it's still tickin' strong! And we've used Michel Roux's waffle recipe from his book, Eggs for most all that time as well.

Old Polaroid film is more expensive and a lot dicier proposition as to if it works or not after so many years.
The price was way too rich for my blood, but as the parent of a dinosaur addicted toddler this was pretty cool to find kicking around.

This is the least expensive method. You can spend hundreds of dollars for electronic devices designed for testing precious metals as well.

I got this off a neighborhood resale/posting website. He posted it 40 mins prior to me messaging him and I got it first. He told me when we picked it up that 6 people had messaged him about it after I had. :) I'll be using it to store my paints since I don't drink. Pic of the art on the inside. There are kits you can buy for testing precious metals. Found one on Amazon, though I haven't personally used this one. To test, you rub the metal onto the provided block and then apply the corresponding acid. The acid will eat away at other metals and show if it isn't gold or the indicated karat.
Got one of those cameras a few months ago. I see Polaroids at Goodwill all the time but this particular OneStep definitely screams gaudy and it had to be bought. The camera is powered by the battery in the film so it most likely won't work (though it's possible).
