It's not the Art of Warmaidens, but I highly recommend Rejected Princesses. Lots of great stuff, bought an early copy for when my daughter is old enough to appreciate it.

If you haven't seen it yet, Amazon has Dark Dungeons up on prime right now; it's delightful. I both want to tell you more and want you to be surprised. It's intentional comedy with a scrappy 'we put this together with duct tape five minutes before the shoot' vibe, like Elvira or Dyke Hard or anything by Mel Brooks.

But then I tried stirring things in my cast iron frying pan with it.

Spatulas bend and tend to slingshot food out of the pan, but this monster? Damn near as indestructible as the pan itself, AND it keeps the pan in good working order because cast iron needs to be scraped smooth regularly-- especially if you want to keep it seasoned instead of re-seasoning it after every use.

It is NOT a substitute for a real spatula, it cares not about egg yolks and lightly fried fish fillets, but damn if it wasn't one of my better $5 kitchen purchases.

I have one of these and I absolutely love it. I meal prep on Sundays and tend to prep 12+ cups of diced roasted vegetables, so it has drastically cut down on my prep time.

I have 2 cats so I wanted plenty of room. It’s worked really well for short periods of confinement. Big enough to hold a litter box if it needed to in an emergency.

Silicone scraper recs plz? I've been using ones like this that have a rigid core and flexier edges so I can apply enough pressure to scrape thick dough off the sides of a bowl, but the edges bend and conform to the bowl shape as I push. Unfortunately, mine haven't held up that well, and they start getting little rips and things after a year or so, and then I figure it's not really nonporous anymore and I toss them and buy new ones. :/
