The fans are replaceable with higher end dual ball bearing muffin fans from Newegg/amazon/ebay. The cooler in these very very rarely go bad. Its the fans.

One 60x60x10mm 12v fan inside. One 92mm fan on top. Takes a lil wiring to put them in. Chose your brand and specs.

I also highly recommend lopping the end off the cord and putting spade connectors on it (keeping track of which is positive and negative). Then unplug the plug on the back side of the cigg lighter adapter, and plug it into the harness directly. Normally that harness has a "T" shape. The top flat part is normally negative, the vertical bit is usually positive.

My Coleman is 7 years old at this point. I've replaced the fans twice. Still puts ice on water bottles.

Love finding these thrown in the trash (hopefully without a ton of spoiled food). Re fan them, clean em up, and sell them at truckstops for 50 bucks.

This is key. Be proactive instead of reactive to help keep the interior habitable. My truck is my home, I want it clean.

I also use a Eurika hand vac to help keep it clean.

> a quick, easy way to heat food

Thought about a "lunch box oven" like this one? Its only $35, runs off the 12v cigarette lighter plug, and uses disposable aluminum linings. You can get the same linings from Walmart like 3 for a dollar or so.

Its not as fast or quite as versatile as a microwave, but you can make pretty good food without an inverter or propane.

Some gift ideas (disclaimer, it's my website): http://truckdrivergifts.com

Personally the gifts I would love most to receive would be either a Sta-Rat Tandem Release Tool or Audible.com gift certificate.

Asolo Fugitive GTX. I loved them so much I bought two more pair. One for work, one for regular life, and a pair in the closet for down the road. Expensive but awesome.

Yeah all the things you mentioned along with FMCSA rulings and other laws, hauling and dealing with hazmat emergencies, extreme weather.

This was our textbook. It was 34 chapters if I remember correctly. There were chapter tests and a final and all that good stuff.

In his book meat in a seat Chris Cox talks about calling the Rangers ahead of time and asking if he can bobtail there, most agreed that he could and they would just count him as an RV.

I have resistance bands in my truck. Most vehicles have plenty of places you can attach them to. You can even set them up inside the tractor like attaching them to the seats for a light one arm at a time upper body work out. Way better than kettle bells or dumb bells.

Have you ever considered using a crock pot? RoadPro for $33

This absolutely works. Adding a bottle of HEET to your washer fluid will take of the freezing rain.

Chicagoland 7 county map

a overview of all of Illinois

If he runs a lot of Chicago the first one is a must. My old employer had a low bridge map of the city but for the life of me I can't find one for sale anywhere.

Whistler pro

KrIeger2000 watt

Power bright 200 watt pure sine

I'd stay away from the truck stop invertors I've heard plenty of bad stuff about them and have had issues with the ones I've bought.

I bought the whistler pro a few years back, never had any issues with it. Still have it and it's been sitting in a tote in my shed for the last year or so.

Haters gonna hate bro! I get it man I get it.

Installed a customized million color led bar in my truck. Turn the lights on red to drive at night with full visibility inside and out. When the sun starts coming up turn the lights to blue.
