another good book with very good audio is 'teach yourself urdu'. The audio seems very expensive so if you are interested I can send you the audio files. Each chapter comes with a story, glossary and grammar explanations. Though some of the more tough grammar near the end is better explain by c naim.

Lastly I have a huge anki deck around 2000 cards with words/sentences/pictures etc which (if you go from date added) line up with teach yourself urdu book glossary and now I'm adding cnaim glossary. With a bunch of grammar mixed in. Can also share that on anki

I also have all the videos/audio from the taj class downloaded. I can send those your way too.

I dont know of any really good online resources for learning Urdu, but i can recommend some books.

This is a good script book. It what we used when I audited Urdu at my University during Grad school. I am an anglo american and had very limited previous exposure to Urdu, especially reading and writing, prior to taking that class and using this book. Now i feel fairly confident in my urdu reading and writing, even though my vocabulary and speaking is still very limited.

Here is the corresponding text book which is pretty good. It doesnt do a great job to teach vocabulary, mostly grammatical things. But as a somewhat native speaker (it sounds like) that shouldnt be too much of a problem for you.

Read and Write Urdu Script: A Teach Yourself Guide

https://www.amazon.com/Read-Write-Urdu-Script-Reference/dp/007174746X

I personally think this is the best book resource for learning to write Urdu. Pair this with youtube videos and a native speaker/writer critiquing it for you, and you should be good to go.

I found this to be a nice way to learn to write -- http://www.amazon.com/Lets-Study-Urdu-Introduction-Language/dp/0300120605/ref=pd_bxgy_14_img_2?ie=UTF8&refRID=14WGE23E8PY68F69H9SB

However, that said, this book is ONLY for reading and writing the letters and putting them into basic words. In particular, it does not teach you to spell. There's a lot of phonetics you can work out since you speak fluently, but of course things like nbaacura mentioned will come up due to many different ways to write the same sound.

I used Complete Hindi A Teach Yourself Course: https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/1444106090/ref=mp_s_a_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1522527225&sr=8-2&pi=AC_SX236_SY340_FMwebp_QL65&keywords=complete+hindi&dpPl=1&dpID=51WrJPOPcLL&ref=plSrch
You can find it for cheaper on eBay like I did. Make sure you get that specific edition in the link because there are other older ones that are shorter and does not have everything.

You should also check out this book! All the poetry they cite is translated and presented in the context it was initially written in. https://www.amazon.com/Anthems-Resistance-Celebration-Progressive-Poetry/dp/8186939261
