I also went to the Miku Expo last year in Dallas, TX.

It was amazing! I drove ~5 hours to get to it.. and it was worth it and so much more.

I'm not a very excitable person, and I'm a bit older (30). Honestly, I didn't really expect it to be great.. but I LOVE Miku to pieces, and expected to have a good time.. but I was blown away. (Quite literally, please do get yourself some isolating earplugs! I couldn't even hear the mids it was so loud.)

The visuals were great, and clean and crisp.. I'd say better than the professional videos. The videos just don't capture how good it looks "in person". The accompanying band was great.. and really.. my only problem is that I liked it too much and want another to go to. :)

I hope one comes to a place near you! I'm sure you will enjoy it!

>what are the differences between Hatsune Miku: Project Diva – Dreamy Theater 2nd and Project Diva F 2nd?

Project Diva Dreamy Theater 2nd is an HD version of Project Diva 2nd while F2nd is its own game with some from Project Diva 2nd and a couple new ones.

>Do they have the same graphics?

They do not have the same graphics. Dreamy Theater 2nd looks like this while F2nd uses the same engine F uses but a looks little bit better.

>And how many fps will I get?

Project Diva Dreamy Theater 2nd runs at 60fps while F2nd runs at 30fps

Here's a comparison between the two (just don't pay attention to the PSP one :P)

>How many songs are there?
Dreamy Theater 2nd has 46 songs (all from Project Diva 2nd) and 31 songs from Diva 1 as a bonus.

Project Diva F 2nd has 40 songs and with all the dlc songs, it goes up to 56.

>And what is the extend version of these games?

Project Diva Extend is a PSP game like Project Diva 1 and 2nd. Dreamy Theater Extend is an HD version of it just like Dreamy Theater 2nd.

>And finally are these available on amazon?

Dreamy Theater 2nd is only available on the Japanese Playstation Store. You need to have Project Diva 2nd because you are required to transfer save data in order for the game to work. It costs ¥3900 which is equivalent to about $40. You can buy a ¥5,000 PSN card from Play Asia, make a Japanese PSN account and buy the game. That's what I did to get the game. It's really easy to make a JP account.

Project Diva F 2nd is available on Amazon for $22

>THANK YOU VERY MUCH!

You're welcome! :D

If you have anymore questions feel free to ask.

Only one? that's rough.
I guess the question would come down to what set list you'd like to experience. The older shows aren't as big of a spectacle, but the crowds are (in my opinion) way more dedicated. Also the older shows will have many of the Vocaloid classics. On the flip side, the newer shows have a HUGE production value so the whole thing seems larger then life so to speak. One of the best shows (again, in my opinion) is the Hatsune Miku Live Party on March 9th 2013 in Kansai (Mikupa). This seems like the "transition show" from smaller venues to the larger ones. Also, The set list was MASSIVE at 36 songs + 3 encores. Here's the vocawiki on the event if this has caught your interest http://vocaloid.wikia.com/wiki/Hatsune_Miku_Live_Party_2013_(MikuPa)/Kansai .
Anyway, I hope this helped you with your decision. Be warned though, once you start buying concerts, there's no stopping :P

EDIT: Wow I'm not sure why, but this guy has the BluRay for DIRT CHEAP on his amazon page.

Love it love it love it. So many songs to play, and playing it in a silky 60 fps is a blessing.

Hoping this controller will help it be a bit easier to play:

Short answer: no, yes, IA/VT

Long answer:

If you are new to IA I think there are better place to spends the $60+shipping if you don't care about the bonus items. You could buy 3 physical albums with that money. IA/01, IA/02, and IA/03 cost a bit more than the BD and it's overall the better buy if you don't own them already.

IA is the best! Jokes aside, consider all of her sold out concerts and live screening, I'd said that the concert tour was a success on 1st Place's part. It's up to you to decide whether or not she is that great, maybe go to one of her concert?

IA/VT or IA/03 are both good albums to start with. Then you can get 02 and 01, and after that you can get all the IA the world albums if you like them enough.

I don't use it myself but I remember there being a 'deal' when v5 first came out that people would get a discount for upgrading if they already had v4.

Though, just from a quick search on amazon, it's not really cheaper https://www.amazon.com/V4EDITORSTDJP-VOCALOID4-Editor/dp/B00QC09CVA

But like I said, UTAU is an alternate free software to download unless you have your heart set on buying a specific voicebank. Do you have any musical experience at all? VOCALOID only covers the voicebanks themselves, you'd still need a separate program like FL studio (unless you're like, a guitarist or something and record your playing in some kinda home studio) to pair with the voices, otherwise it'd just be an a capella track

I am planning to go with something like this.

Supercell - Supercell Album - Pop Rock/Jpop.
Melt
The World is Mine
Love is War.
Odds and Ends
Sekiranun Graffiti
Buy it at Amazon

With this, the user would be more inclined to check out the songs individually first, then the entire album. The logic behind this is that the person would check out to see if the album is worth listening to by listening to the "choice picks" before diving into the album. Moreover, I believe that people who would pirate a song would pirate regardless, if it is by song or entire albums. However, if the goal is to get people interested in an artist, I think that spreading the artist's work is the number one priority. It is always up to the user if they decide to pirate or purchase the songs/albums, and that linking songs only will not deter pirates. Of course, there will be a purchase link to remind people, but if a producer's work is worth purchasing, then there will be people who are willing to buy the album.

I think that it is better to get a person interested into a certain producer, and letting them decide for themselves if they are willing to purchase the song/album or pirating it.

Link shortened it via formatting because it's super long otherwise. It was about 850ish JPY around Thanksgiving, probably something to do with "39's Giving" which translates to "San-kyuu Giving," a play on thanksgiving and 39- 39 also can be read as Mi-ku.

But yeah, 2600 JPY for 3 DVD's is still a damn good deal. It comes with only one drawstring bag (the picture shows two to display both sides printed). The bag is large enough to hold large DJ/studio monitor headphones or something comparable. Since it's shipping from Japan, I was charged about 9-10 dollars- pretty reasonable.

You might have better luck using the Rakuten market, and have them ship it to you direct from Japan. It would probably be faster, too.

Here's a search for the Miku software I did on Rakuten's Global Marketplace

It might be cheaper through them, shipped direct to you. Rakuten's a big company in Japan, but keep in mind that the individual sellers are stores that are not affiliated with Rakuten, but sell on Rakuten. (Just like random guy selling to you from Amazon.)

Or you could order through Miku V2 and Append V2 from Amazon.co.jp and have them ship it through Tenso. (Amazon.co.jp won't ship software outside of Japan, but they will ship to Tenso, who can ship to you.) Either way would probably be faster.

One of my favorite Luka songs!

Edit: You can buy it on Itunes here or on Amazon Mp3.

Otetsu is signed on to the Karen-T label which makes it a bit easier to buy his music.

u/rprebel · 9 pointsr/Vocaloid

There are little dolls called Nendoroids that he might like. Something like this. I'd make sure (s)he's interested in them first. I'm a big Vocaloid fan, but I'm not into any of the non-music stuff at all.

Did you know Amazon will donate a portion of every purchase if you shop by going to smile.amazon.com instead? Over $50,000,000 has been raised for charity - all you need to do is change the URL!

Here are your smile-ified links:

nice! You should check out the Luka scroll as well. I have them both and couldn't be happier :D

In case anyone is curious, you can buy the mouse and the two mats at Amazon. https://www.amazon.com/Thermaltake-Esports-Programmable-Software-MO-IRS-WDOHBK-09/dp/B07QPQKQ21

If I'm not mistaken to buy the keyboard internationally, you needed a proxy?

u/baobrain · 1 pointr/Vocaloid

Here's the link to amazon if people prefer that. It's 3 cents cheaper with free shipping.

I also doubt it comes with the DLC, as it seems to be just a code, and not a physical copy, and there's nothing on the website that mentions it.

u/shroudedwolf51 · 1 pointr/Vocaloid

Both were from Amazon.

The keychain was $10...though, it seems it went down in price to $7.

The album was $31.

u/derKetzer6 · 1 pointr/Vocaloid

This one? This is confirmed to be able to work with it upon release.

u/jcpb · 1 pointr/Vocaloid

Oooh, wtb entire set!

edit: seems only book #3 is available; not seeing the first two. -_-

u/zlandael · 2 pointsr/Vocaloid

They have made this, though getting it is costly.

u/PM_ME_SHIMPAN · 2 pointsr/Vocaloid

The IA albums are vocaloid albums featuring IA, and numerous producers ranging in genres from metal, rock, pop, to EDM, and electronica. You can get them from amazon.

IA/01

IA/02

IA/03

IA/VT

EDIT: The song I posted previously in this thread, Asu No Hikari, is featured in IA/01 :D

These Ear Plugs are what I use. I wore these through Miku Expo 2016 and a Grateful Dead Cover Band Show. I was able to get good fidelity and had no problems with tinnitus. Just gotta get the right colored piece in for the right show.

u/GenesisGenome · 1 pointr/Vocaloid

Yeah, nah. I have the Miku sitting in front of me right now on my desk. I like it, I don't regret buying it, but it is ugly as sin. It is mainly the big soulless bug eyes that make it disturbing. That and the mass produced nature can lead to poor QC on the paint job. I've seen some really dodgy pop vinyls, but thankfully my Miku is not one of them.

But back to the main point, you cannot deny that she is ugly. She is almost pullip levels of disturbing. Almost.
