relax /u/Akoustyk, I'm not arguing as much as saying there are other angles. I have read all kinds of history and watched a little as well. Here's a fun little book that I enjoyed a while back talking about creativity on the battlefield.

I feel the same way about "packaging"

but a LOT of things fall in the "overpriced because it glitters" area

  • Vertu phones. (Nokia Bricks with fancy wrappers)

  • If your alcohol has gems in or on it...you're buying the bottle not the liquid.

  • If you have ANY other name but yours stitched into your clothing they should be paying YOU to be a billboard.

  • If adding this to food made it better, It would be on the table at fine restaurants.

Major ripoff. You can buy gold leaf on Amazon for half that price (or, more accurately, twice as much for the same price), at $2 each.

If you want to go in bulk, you can buy them for $1.20 each.

Found it on Amaozn. But it sold out?

The creator site says $3360 and its too expensive. May be I will make one myself.

This is amazon's algorithm increasing the price of what would be this, based on whatever they base their algorithm on.

I've always assumed it's inversely proportional to demand.

See it all the time in out of print books.
