Since the PSTV has HDCP, you'll need a splitter that supports HDMI 1.3. But here are links to the capture card and splitter I use.

Capture Card - https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00K5A8FP2/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o07_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
Splitter - https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B004F9LVXC/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o06_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

I do realize that the splitter is no longer available directly from Amazon, but from sellers, but I still direct people to this, specific model, as I've heard stories from other people having issues with HDMI 1.3 splitters aside from this one. Just note that any splitter SHOULD work as long as it supports HDMI 1.3.

And the drivers for the capture card. I use the ones set for the GL310.

Only advice is to always make sure your mic is plugged in before launching the capture card's software to make sure you don't start commentary on the stream and realize your mic isn't working with the software. And toggle the volume settings in the application itself for a good balance so the game's volume doesn't overbear your own mic voice.

Would you mind sharing a link or something for the cord you use? I ordered one from Amazon with the proper specs and it won't work. . .

Here's the link. . .

Doesn't do a thing. PSTV just keeps rebooting. Works perfectly fine when I use the standard cable and plug.

I bought a Powerline Adapter starter kit from Amazon and it works like a charm for Remote Play:
TP-LINK TL-PA511 KIT AV500 Powerline Gigabit Adapter Starter Kit, up to 500Mbps

Sorry, I am away from home for longer period of time.
But! This is the wallmount I was talking about https://www.amazon.com/UGREEN-Adhesive-Charging-Compatible-Smartphone/dp/B01I42Z5DW
It is for mobile phones, but VitaTV fits there perfectly. Even the rounded side.

I would recommend using a HDMI audio extractor if you can (I have this one
I was using bluetooth for a while but I got sick of the slight amount of lag with my setup.
When I was using bluetooth I swapped between a cheap bluetooth speaker and using this adapter with headphones.

I really really would recommend going with a HDMI audio extractor if you can go with a wired solution. On a plus side if you ever want to use something else with your monitor like a DVD player, Roku or Chromecast etc, then you have a solution that works with anything HDMI.

I don't know if a Dualshock 4 could fit in this case, but this might be a good one for the PSTV and all its components.

Hello. Look at this previous post on USB controllers compatibility.
I also did some additional testing this morning for you. The amazon basic usb hub won't work with any of my controllers.
However, another Nexxtech usb hub I had did work.

I'll be happy to answer any further questions you have!

The Bluetooth 4.0 Adapter?

I have that. Works very easily if you've paired a bluetooth device before. One thing to note though, you'll be hearing 4 beeps when putting the Vita TV to and off Standby. It's a little annoyance, but at least you'll know the device works. Also make sure the two are in close range.

Your current capture card should be fine, you'll just need to use a splitter with it. I recommend the OREI HD-102.

edit: Apparently there is a new version of that splitter and it won't bypass HDCP anymore.

Well that's odd. The Japanese MSRP for these is only around $10 (¥980) but in Japanese Amazon they're going for double or triple (neat, the item code after the description in the URL is the same for US and Japanese Amazon) what they cost in the US. They must be discontinued?

u/Spockrocket · 2 pointsr/VitaTV

As a side note, Amazon has now price-matched this.

You can bypass HDCP using an HDMI splitter - this is how I record my PSTV output to a capture card for streaming. The model of splitter I use is This one (amazon.ca link - I apologize, I am Canadian)

It can only use the official memory card. A proprietary one made by Sony. This one. They're available in 4GB, 8GB, 16GB, 32GB and 64GB.

A 64gb card is around $100 but I've seen 32gb cards for $80.

I took the 64gb

I have a BT audio adapter like you are talking about. I mainly use it to listen to music in the car but I once thought I would connect the receiver to a non-BT set of headphones and see if I could listen to my Vita that way (it was just an experiment, I know the Vita has a regular headphone jack). The lag was unacceptable, I'd say around a half second. Even if you thought you could live with that, it suffered constant disconnections.

If I were you, I'd get some kind of box you can route your HDMI connection through that allows you to split the audio out to a 3.5mm or stereo RCA connection--like this.
