Haha no but seriously check out the alternative library -- there's cool books, cool people, cool music and cool events there.
If you're not into books or music, going for long walks is nice. This place is beautiful. Pop in some headphones and let your feet carry you around!
If you don't have a bike, get one. It's good for your body, good for your head, good for the planet, and helps you discover parts of town you'd never have seen otherwise.
Learning how to play Magic: The Gathering will take up a lot of your time and is a great way to meet people, though it's pretty goddamned nerdy. Not that that's a dealbreaker -- I tend to enjoy nerds' company immensely -- just a thing.
If you like being physical, rock climbing is an awesome way to exercise and meet people too. Western has a climbing wall, but Vital's a great way to meet people who aren't just students plus it's bigger.
Getting a job will definitely take up some of your time plus then you can afford things.
Take up graffiti?
Start doing radical performance art in public spaces.
Volunteer -- Lydia Place, DVSAS, Planned Parenthood, Habitat for Humanity, the Bellingham Food Bank, the list goes on. Volunteering is awesome, really good for your community, and allows you to connect with a lot of really awesome people who want to make this world a better place! Here is a list of places you can volunteer at.
Sewing, crocheting, knitting, needlepoint are all really fun activities that empower you to bring beauty into your life. Great for gifts, contemplation, stress relief, and functional too.

Learn how to cook -- every week, choose a different country. Learn and cook 3 recipes from that country.
Start microdosing. Examine your own thought patterns. De-construct them. Who are you, when you get right down to it?
Read one book from each of the following authors: Rene Descartes, Thomas Hobbes, John Locke, David Hume, Immanuel Kant, Jean-Jacque Rousseau, Arthur Schopenhauer, Soren Kierkegaard, Friedrich Nietzsche, Jean-Paul Sartre, Bertrand Russell, Michel Foucault (Yes I know I'm missing a lot of important ones and they're all white men).

Honestly, with that many people living in such a relatively small space, I don't know if you're going to find any that are "really quiet." I never knew anyone to study in their dorms---everyone went to the library for quiet and focus---as a light sleeper I can sympathize, but I think that's just the reality of dorms. There is an "Honors stack" in Edens North for students in the Honors Program that advertises greater levels of quiet, but I can't speak to it personally.
Count down to living off-campus? It gets better!
Also, my solution as a light sleeper is this paired with this, lets me sleep through the night.
Try a Happy Light
We learned about them in psychology class. They simulate the sun and give you the energy boost you need in the winter. Winter can be hard on people here in the PNW because it gets to be pretty dark and never really lights up till Spring.

You're welcome. As someone else said, an actual camera system is expensive and irresponsible. If it's just the deterrence you want, these are cheap and better than nothing.
I can sell you this keyboard for $30. I only used it for two months.
If I were to do it again, I'd buy a cheap brother laser printer like this one for $85.
The reason is it's a small hassle to print stuff at school. Every minute counts in the morning and most students print at school, so it can be a struggle finding an open computer before morning classes. So you sit there and wait....5 people are looking at facebook...3 minutes left until class starts. Eventually one will open up but I would rather pay $100 to buy a printer than deal with that for 4 years.
If you never print the day of, it's probably not worth it. Campus prints are very cheap.
I always carry pepper spray, as it makes me feel safe. But please remember that if you do get pepper spray, it expires after a couple years usually. Also, a while back my parents got me these alarm type thingies that basically when you pull the pin from the side it makes a very very loud alarm. The idea is to throw it at whoever is making you feel unsafe. It won’t turn off without the pin back in it. In most situations, when too much attention is drawn (trust me, these are really loud) the attacker will just run. Here a link to the one I have. It goes on your keychain.
