I had this issue on machines with 32GB too. The option to enable locking pages in memory will be the most useful for systems with a lot of physical memory. When it's disabled, Windows is constantly playing cleanup and moving stuff from physical to virtual memory. I saw a great analogy a while ago and I'll paraphrase/butcher it: it's like emptying and re-filling the sink with new water for every dish while doing the dishes. This may not be the cause of your problem, but it definitely won't hurt to change the setting. Here's a link to instructions: https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/sql/database-engine/configure-windows/enable-the-lock-pages-in-memory-option-windows?view=sql-server-2017

Systems with less physical memory will benefit more from a larger page file. I use 20-60GB on my miners, depending on the size of the hard drive (I usually leave around 20GB of free space). This may not be necessary for you since WTC doesn't use workloads big enough to spill over from your physical memory, but if you're not using the disk space...it also won't hurt.

In my experience with WTC, when an overclock fails, the GPU just shuts down and the CLI repeatedly complains about there not being a CUDA device. An easy way to test this is to clock the card high enough that it'll run, but shut down quickly.

And here are the WiFi outlets I use for remote controlling rigs: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B078SRSFD7/

They're easy to set up, I've never had an issue with them and you can restart your systems from anywhere with your phone.

That seems really expensive for what you're getting.

Check out this build https://www.coinsuggest.com/6-gpu-ethereum-mining-rig/

Get a different case, something like this https://www.amazon.com/Supercope-Mining-Aluminum-Crypto-Currency/dp/B073YP99GJ

And some extra risers are good to have on hand. If you're looking for something to CPU mine with also, you could change that out form what's listed, just make sure to match sockets.

If you got the time, try to build it yourself. There's plenty of videos on YouTube which you can follow along with. Otherwise take it to a local shop and have them put it together for you. Will be better overall than most prebuilts, since most of those aren't made for mining.

Okay I made a few changes and the miner has been stable since 20 hours or so:

  • Disabled windows defender
  • Running gfx at default settings (had some OC going on)
  • Changed my wifi adapter. I had this shit adapter earlier: https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B06XSFPDFX/. Bought a better one.
  • Instead of deleting the node1 folder again and again, I start the miner and wait for 5-10 minutes for new blocks to sync and then start the miner instead.

Hopefully this helps others as well.

I'm in the US, but I bought a device called Kill-A-Watt. It can measure exactly how much electricity an outlet is consuming once it's plugged in.
