I'm not a pro, but just give it a wash to see, shampoo/conditioner follow the directions on the bottle/directions or your wig on how to wash if it came with any.
You'll be able to tell the difference when it's conditioned, then you'll know what it looks like after its washed. For mine, I feel like the hair eventually gets kinda clumpy, and not as soft. It's synthetic, It starts to happen depending on how dirty it gets. Usually have to wash mine after like 5-7 wears, that's my preference though. I like how it looks when it's freshly conditioned, so I may be over washing it.

Also that aside, try lowering the hairline just a bitttt I feel. See how that looks. It's hard to posistion properly at first because we haven't had hair in a long time and you're probably used to the receeded hairline (depending on why you wear a wig) I have MPB so when I first started wearing my wig, I wore it a bit too high because I was just used to my hairline being raised. I kinda forgot where my natural hairline was haha. Overtime I feel like I just got used to it and lowered the wig hairline a bit. I could be wrong though. Wear it however makes you feel good, however you like it. :)

for reference, I tend to add spikes and stuff to it, I'll get a spray bottle with water and mist it a bit, and then I have this comb with a spike end on it. I use that to 'piece' the hair, gently, and twist the ends, just gives it some texture, (nothing wrong with using your fingers though, just find it a bit harder) and you can see where I place the hairline. Our heads are different of course, but hope this helps! Check amazon for some 'wig' combs, they have to be wig combs, so they don't rip the hairs out.

Hope that helps dude!

That looks really nice on you! I suggest pulling it down a little more. It should sit at the top of your pointer finger if you put your pinky finger at the bridge of your nose.

Have you tried it with a wig grip? I find I feel more comfortable and secure when I wear a wig grip under my wigs. They are pretty cheap on Amazon. Search on YouTube on how to make a wig smaller/tighter. There are lots of tutorials that show you how to make them feel more secure.

Also, Amazon has some really nice, inexpensive wigs. I have an "It's a Wig" Konis or Justine that's really nice for $30.

This one looks similar to your picture and has good reviews.

most wigs should have a band inside of them that will attach to the back from your head. There is also no slip wig headbands on amazon. you can also sew in your own band if it doesnt already have. Tons of videos on YT. You can wash your synthetic wig with synthetic shampoo and conditioner or add some dry shampoo. Also pluck evenly the front as well as add concelar on the part (again TONS of YT videos)! my trick I have found is (on amazon) spray Nunaat Naat Brazilian Keratin Liquid Keratin Leave In Reconstructor on to the hair and then flat iron. Makes synthetic hair feel "real" but important to section, spray and iron very time consuming but worth it!!

Good Luck on your fight!

I buy mine on canadawig.com but if you're not from canada, i think it's available on amazon: https://www.amazon.com/Simply-Stylin-Light-Silk-Spray/dp/B004WKI7CM :)

The Hair Grip https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00DUGZBHI?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share

It comes in various skin tone colors and works great for me! I have alopecia as well, and the glue/tape always came off or got weird as I have naturally oily skin. This stays on all day with minimal shifting.

np.. its a beautiful wig.

here is a guide for silicone spray: https://fabrickind.tumblr.com/post/129443054128 I use this https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0019LV3GO/ it totally works but you need to leave your wig alone for about 2 days or so

Definitely get a wig head if you don't have one already. It makes life wonderful for styling

Pink Wig: PINK WIG

Platinum Wig: (Khaleesi): KHALEESI WIG

Red Wig: RED WIG

Short Bob Wig: NATURAL BOB WIG

Brunette Bangs Wig: purchased years ago- link not available. Similar types on amazon however.

Y’all I started wearing wigs for my occasional avant garde modeling photoshoots and then progressed to wearing them whenever I felt I needed a change. There are so many affordable options that can be revamped to look more expensive and realistic so I encourage everyone to check amazon out. I ALWAYS check the review section before purchasing to see customer photos of their wigs. That’s a good litmus test to see quality. 😉

I got it from Amazon! It's surprisingly cheap. Very soft and almost like real hair. Sheds a bit and smells kinda chemical-y but the smell has been fading. I'd totally add a review on Amazon if I could, but it won't let me review things for some reason.

Here's the link if you wanna get it.

Synthetic wigs are kind of tricky when it comes to styling because the plastic fibers vary. I use anything from a pot of boiling water and hand steamers to curl or add deep waves; to normal flat irons to straighten the hair and spray starch to keep it that way. I have a book of notes I’ll publish when I get time.

Yes! Mannequin head is essential. With T-pins to keep it in place. I used to try to style them on my own head or without any support—-impossible!

This is what I use now:

Here is the tripod I use with it:

I have trich and have worn full lace wigs for years. I can’t imagine wearing a full cap wig. I swim and workout in it, usually lasts for about 4 weeks.

You will need a few items from amazon.

  1. Scalp protector Walker Scalp Protector 1.4 oz Dab-on https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01773HGN6/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_2kOQCb7NFCQ6E

  2. Super Tape SuperTape LOW PROFILE Shape LACE FRONT = 1 pack of 36 strips https://www.amazon.com/dp/B073N3NV97/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_2iOQCbFV4JQ0B

  3. Lace glue Ultrahold 3.4 oz Acrylic Glue https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0141MTLL6/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_3hOQCb60SH4V7

You will need to put the take on the lace all around, followed by a thin layer of
    Glue.

Put some scalp protector on your scalp once that dries, attach the wig, that’s it. If you have questions and want more details, message me.

Hmm that's unfortunate. I guess I can just use castor before washing the hair as treatment or something.

How about argan or VCO as leave-in?

I'm not too confident I'll find any oil sheen sprays. Never seen one, and local online shopping sites don't know what those are either D: There's plenty of these hair vitamins and cuticle coats though. Didn't give them much of a thought when I was shopping earlier since I had pure oils in mind.
