Like this? https://www.amazon.com/Best-Choice-Products-SKY1460-Necklaces/dp/B00DIIZ0KQ

I don't know of any plans but it is basically a box with hinges for the mirror "lid". Then you fill the box with cubbies for stuff. Seems pretty simple to figure out. You could join with rabbets or box joints. I'll see if I can't find any plans.

I was actually thinking of making something like this for Xmas for my gf

FOLAI Adjustable Waterproof Replacement Shoulder Strap Replacement Shoulder Straps Adjustable Belt for Shoulder Bag Backpack Black https://www.amazon.com/dp/B078VZXDM5/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_86MiDbNYCQHCC

I would try these straps out especially since they’re only $12 or so. Then just secure them to the backboard. I personally would just use some eyelets to run the strings through. The rest should be pretty easy. Hope this helps

I'd just add some leveling feet to each corner. Probably the easiest solution, provided that the structure is sound (which it looks like it is).

Taklon Brushes roughly $30.00 properly thinned.

Purdy - ox hair. $20.00 (Home depot, Lowes) http://www.amazon.com/Purdy-144300020-Ox-O-Thin-Ox-Hair-Bristle/dp/B000YD318G/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1458342554&sr=8-3&keywords=purdy+ox+hair

Don't spend a bunch of money on a brush if you don't know how to clean one up. Practice makes perfect.

OP here. I've done a bit of searching and I found Option 1 and Option 2 from Amazon. They are the style that I'm looking for, but I want them bigger and better. I do like the idea of having cabinet doors instead of drawers. That way, I can make the shelves adjustable in case I have lots of boots or lots of flip flops.

You know, the internet is a wonderful place. A quick five minute google search would get you what you need.

I've found I get a much better result than drilling and squaring corners.

Check with !ocal commercial kitchen equipment company. Look for a used baking pan rack. Something like this...

To make this, you'd need a chunk of wood, a lathe, and a few turning tools. Any woodworker with a lathe (I don't have one) should be able to make this pretty easily. However, I'm assuming since you're posting here you don't know any woodworkers personally.

If no one here is able to help you, this roller, while not wood, looks to be a very similar shape. Might be worth looking into.

I just ordered this book which looks like it might be helpful.... It hasn't come yet, thought, so I can't say for sure.

An upcut bit can cause tear out on whichever side you plunge into first, so routing from the back side seems to make sense. Any normal technique to prevent tear out applies.... tape, sacrificial layer.

There are also compression spiral bits which solve the issue. I have one of these: https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B0012K5YDK?psc=1&ref=yo_pop_mb_pd_title

BalanceFrom Puzzle Exercise Mat with EVA Foam Interlocking Tiles, Black https://www.amazon.com/dp/B013A4ATCQ/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_uWcLBb90KQ0NC. This is EVA foam. Well the simpliest way to get it. You can find it cheaper just and example. If you watch youtube videos on most cosplayers they use EVA for armor and weapons. Simply because its cheap and easy to work with. Just an exacto knife and hot glue gun are all the tools you need. Heck im sure you can find a sub on here that is more knowledgable than myself. To answer the rigid question there are ways to make it harder.

Hey man, I like the design but correct my if i am wrong here, shouldn't your diagonal bracing be going the other direction? The whole point of the brace is to take the cantilevered weight from the far end of the gate and transfer it down to the bottom hinge on the post and down to the ground.
It's highly likely this gate will sag over time.
I think if you are doing a tension brace you should use a threading adjustable tension rod. But you seem to be using wood as a tension brace when it should be used as a compression brace.

EDIT: In fact yes, i believe your bracing is backwards.
