Yes, definitely scrape some of the powder coating off so that the bolt can make a good contact with the mount and then onwards into the tailgate. It would be beneficial for you to run a grounding strap from the tailgate to the body as well. I did mine similar to how the stock wires are (the ones that power the third brake light). Use a grounding strap, though, not a wire. Reason being is that RF travels on the outside of a wire, so using a regular 16ga wire (for example) doesn't facilitate grounding as well as something with more surface area, such as a braided ground strap (link being just an example, find something the length you need).

I just went through this. What I did was bought these bestop bags for the doors: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0002SA31G/ref=oh_aui_search_detailpage?ie=UTF8&psc=1

They're very heavy duty and will prevent scratches etc to the doors. That way you can storage them easily inside.

For my hard top, I built myself a cart which was really easy. You can find the directions here: http://www.jk-forum.com/forums/jk-write-ups-39/diy-hardtop-cart-85305/ . All you really need is some plywood (which most stores will cut for you), some wheels, some screws and a drill/drill bits. I duct taped some of the rough parts and also put some cloth on it. In total, it probably costed me $50. If you're storing outside, you may want to consider purchasing the Surco Hard Top Carrier instead of making it as the wood probably won't do well outside. You can also purchase the bestop cover: https://www.amazon.com/Bestop-42807-09-Charcoal-Wrangler-Hardtop/dp/B000VLF8AK/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1467384165&sr=8-2&keywords=jk+hard+top+cart .

I leave my hard top panels in my freedom top bag right inside my hard top.

This is what I use. I only run a CPAP machine off of it though. I carry a spare battery to run the CPAP. It works perfect, however, it sounds like you are going to need more power.

Honda sells some really good relatively quiet generators but the cost is up around $1000 +.

They make a good battery operated device for inflating mattresses.

I have this for my JL hard too and it’s absolutely amazing. Best part is that you can use it for storage as well. It uses an electric drill to raise and lower it.

Pretty sweet. I've got a couple of these for my house that would be a nice addition.

If you are looking to replace the drag link, I would highly suggest upgrading everything down there to the V8 Grand Cherokee set. It is a solid setup, whereas the TJ's are just tubes. Here are the following amazon links to completely replace them:

Moog ES2079S Tie Rod End Adjusting Sleeve

Moog ES3096L Tie Rod End

Moog DS1312 Tie Rod End

Moog DS1310 Tie Rod End

It may seem like a bit of money at the moment, but these parts are actually cheaper than buying the TJ version of the same parts! The V8 is not in high demand, and as such the prices are lower compared to the much more popular TJ parts.

I have the factory Premium top (same as Bestop's twill tops). The manufacturer of the material for these tops suggests RAGGTOPP cleaner and protectant.

Get some [Zipper Pulls] (http://www.amazon.com/Chums-20190-Zipquix-Zip/dp/B0013UZ8C6) and it'll be a lot easier to get those suckers on. Also it always helps to make sure the corners are both unattached - this gives you some slack.

If you have a TJ or jk, I like the rugged ridge mirrors. They come in round or square and the brackets boot to the existing windshield holes.

As a general starting point I recommend this book: Guide to Arizona Backroads & 4-Wheel-Drive Trails 2nd Edition https://www.amazon.com/dp/1934838195/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i_1Ad2Cb53V8G9T

Buy a yard sprinkler like this. Put it under the jeep for a bit, then move it around under the jeep to get other areas.

I have a 2000 TJ and got this rack for Christmas. I lay my snowboard on top and use a ratchet tie down to keep it from falling off. When I can afford it I want to get a legit ski rack to attach to it.

Hope this helps you out:

Front and Rear LCA: Moog CK660203 - Includes both bushings. Amazon says doesn't fit TJs, but I installed in my 98.

Front UCA: Moog CK620244 - Includes only the frame-side bushing.

Front Upper Axle Bushings (pair): Moog K3128 - One pair will do the front axle (one per side). These are a pain to remove/replace.

Rear UCA: Moog CK620246 - Includes both bushings.

Moog "C" and "CK" series is their premium line; "R" and "RK" and "K" is their standard line.
