Maybe something like this would work, if it wasn't crap quality...

Just some standalone smart chime that is IFTTT compatible.

In case anyone else is looking for similar,it's one of these Shabbat light switch covers.

The smart home finds a new use for what was probably only useful to observant Jews before.

Still up when I searched for it.

I bought these for exterior mounting:

https://smile.amazon.com/dp/B07G732B9J/ref=cm_sw_r_em_apa_i_DF7XDbPFVMJN0

For inside I'd probably experiment with the 3m sticky disc and metal disc that sticks to it, that the magnetic camera then sticks to... Literally just stick it to the wall where you want to monitor

Btw, wyze plugs can be used to set timers on your heat and uvb for daytime, then when they turn those off turn on your night lamp or heating pad. I use a dual plug from another company as I've had it long before wyze made theirs.

Could even use the wyze sensors on the doors or cage tops so you're notified when they're opened..

What about something like this, to replace the outlet sitting 12 inches from where the cam will be mounted?

I have no experience with outdoor outlets offering usb but, I just found this and am curious.

You could do it one of two ways, either with a cheap USB extension cable (don't need an active USB repeater since it's power only), or you could do it with a PoE adapter. Keep in mind that the PoE adapter won't provide network to your camera, just power.

I've used one like this to provide PoE power to my RasPi units, it seems to work well (in the regards that I haven't had to touch it since I installed it and it just works). https://www.amazon.com/802-3af-Splitter-Compatible-Devices-Ethernet/dp/B01KS8NMO4/ For the wyze cam, you'd only attach power and leave the Ethernet cable floating.

I'd just run a long thick USB cable. This one is 30ft and intended for just power transmission not data: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07GMF9Y9X/

The Wyze camera really just needs 5V, so you could also just run a 5V power supply with a long cable/extension and then at the end use some converter to change the barrel plug to micro-USB. If you're running it more than 30ft though look up the wires thickness (gauge) and use a voltage drop calculator to make sure there's not too much voltage drop. The Wyze cam needs 1A at the most, but probably only 0.5A

If you don't already have PoE devices or PoE gear it seems more cost/complexity than its worth.

I use this for our driveway gate and it works great. You could likely find a cheaper solution but this is what I had laying around. There's a separate solar charger and 12V battery for the gate but the camera didn't like the noise when the gate motors were running to open and close the gate and there was no way I running a power cord a couple of hundred feet down and under asphalt either so I just grabbed what I had and it's been there since.
