Copy pasted from another one of my posts (with some minor edits) :)

I bought an Inno IN-FR rack about 2 years ago to use on my Vibe. I've had my Crosstrek for 4 months now and it works just as well as it did on my Vibe. Much cheaper option than Thule or Yakima and still durable, strong, and easy to put on/take off. I also really like that it comes with locks built in. I'm honestly not sure what size my rails are. I ordered from ORS Racks Direct and just chose the "Choose bars for me" option and they picked out the right size based on the make/model/year of my car. I had a coupon at the time so they came to $185 (It's on sale right now! And there's a 10% off coupon on retailmenot.com)

I also purchased these foldable kayak carriers that have worked great (although I only paid $75 for them)

I use a CD mount and I love it. I have an iphone 6, but it can hold my ipad mini too, so I am not concerned about getting the 7plus. I love it. I also bought a 1.5ft lightning cable and its the perfect length when connecting to the charger port below the radio in the cubby.

Here is the holder.

My weimaraner is all over the place in the car. He once put his front leg through the steering wheel while my wife was driving, so he needs some restraint in the car. We bought one of these, and it's been great. I have a weimaraner and vizsla, and they both fit pretty well in the back. We did a 3200 mile round trip from Colorado to NYS last thanksgiving, and both dogs did well.

GOOD SHIT MAN. here you go.

If you're not as tech savvy like me, I also got the subimod harness as well! it's expensive as fuck but made the install 10000000% easier. I didn't have any of the tools either. its a literal plug and play. lets just put it this way. it took longer to take the front bumper off TBH. LOL

for the rear I switched it out withthese.
for the front
and
these adapters are great if you don't want to slice the cables.

also. you will need a spacer for the Rockford.

I would recommend the Polk Audio over the Rockford.

Edit: and they work with the stock head unit without an Amp. I am an amateur so I didn't want to replace the stock radio/dash .
and too lazy to add an amp.

Good luck!

Looks great! We have the same basket and crossbars. How do you have the shovel and axe mounted? I used a couple Quick Fists and they work pretty well, but are sometimes kinda finnicky. Also, is your awning mounted straight onto the crossbars, or is it on the basket somehow?

Bought the horns off of Amazon then I used some extra wire and fixtures that were laying around the garage! I'll put a link to the horn set I bought.
But this is my 2016 crosstrek that's I've owned for about two months and I love it!

I've replaced all the speakers in the car and added an amp/sub in the trunk. Overall the process wasn't too bad. The hardest parts were getting the head unit out and running the power wire for the amp. Directions are different depending on what model year your crosstrek is (mine is a '16) and if your car has auto climate or manual controls.

  • Polk DXi651 6.5" coaxials for the doors
  • these speaker brackets for the doors
  • Kicker Subaru direct tweeter replacements
  • Kicker 12CX300.1 Amp + KISL speaker level input adaptor
  • Kicker CK4 Amp wiring kit + CXRC bass knob
  • Rockford Fosgate 10" P1S2 2 ohm
  • Scosche SE10 Sealed Box

I kept the stock head unit, and i'm very happy with this setup and still tweaking some settings, but i would recommend it!

Hitch basket, roof basket, roof crossbars, waterproof hitch basket bag, waterproof roof basket bag. Roof and hitch baskets are Curt, waterproof bag for the hitch basket is Curt, waterproof bag for the roof basket is Rocket Straps and roof rails are Brightlines. Got everything for less than the cost of the Thule roof basket I originally wanted and one Thule Aeroblade crossbar. Very happy with all of the purchases so far! Had the hitch on for a few days, only got the roof basket on today.

edit: crossbars, not rails.

So I found the side nets on Amazon for $29.95 and ordered a set. Pic looks like a clone or maybe even the same set. Right here for you. Way better deal then the dealership.

u/vordhosbnn · 5 pointsr/XVcrosstrek

This is the mount if anyone is interested. I tried a few different suction cups/air vent mounts and none really worked as I wanted.

The magnets are strong, and the phone doesn't move/jitter around whilst driving.

I go camping and hiking a ton so I got these seat covers which allow me to quickly put them on or take them off...I use them all the time. (super cheap as well)

For the front seats ($20 each)
https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B01GDGGC6A/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o08_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

For the back seats ($15) - BTW it fits my 2018 Crosstrek just fine while still having the holes for the seat belts (the middle seat takes a little finagling but its still accessible).

If you look on Amazon as well there are also some overlays for the rear compartment hatch area, but I have yet to buy one.

/u/alrashid2 no, I didn’t post about it here before but happy to weigh in.

It attaches to my stock rails and crossbars with 8 built in straps.

It packs down to about the size of a shoe box.

Sure, it is just your typical Plasti Dip classic black 11 oz can. Here's a link to the one I used, though I bought mine at Lowes for like 6 bucks.

I googled the exact title you posted and got this,

https://www.amazon.com/Genuine-Subaru-J501SFJ600-Seat-Protector/dp/B006QNTE8O

I then copied and googled the "J501SFJ600" part and confirmed it was that exact part.

Google is your friend. Learn to use it!

Edit: I did all this and even posted this reply in under a minute while sitting on the toilet surfing Reddit.

I got the visors from amazon here

As for the black under the door handles, I stole that idea from azxtrek and had them done when I got everything else wrapped. I found these scratch cover guards that might also be worth a try. I plan on buying them when the wrap starts peeling

That's an incredibly detailed list, I'm definitely going to consider those items. I bought this cover for my son. https://www.amazon.ca/dp/B00QHC02EY/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i_ZNh4DbZ68HEFM

u/enderpretender · 1 pointr/XVcrosstrek

These are the brackets I used. These are the lights I used. Installation of the brackets is fairly straightforward. A guide comes with the purchase. Wiring the lights was probably the most difficult aspect just because I had to extend the reach of the relay . Feel free to ask me any more specific questions.

Original Quick Fist Clamp for mounting tools & equipment 1" - 2-1/4" diameter (Pack of 2) https://www.amazon.com/dp/B000CQPANY/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_AE5sDbV64WVS4
I just have them zip tied to the rack right now but thinking of getting some stainless screws for a more permanent solution.

u/Agamoruso · 2 pointsr/XVcrosstrek

I used this harness. Worked out perfect and drilled a 3/4" hole in one of the blank knock outs in the dash near the light dimmer dial. Has an illuminated switch when on and has spade connectors for two front lights. I just used one since I have a 20" led bar behind the lower grille.

u/fotolabman · 1 pointr/XVcrosstrek

Also if you don't want to splice the cable harness, this works as a plug and play harness

u/Mattsoup · 2 pointsr/XVcrosstrek

The OEM bars stretch out and in a bit, so it's a question of rail shape. I don't know about the shape, but the rails are similarly priced for the most part. Hit up subaruonlineparts and follow the tree down to the 2019 'trek. About $160

The door guards are just generic black trim protection from autozone

u/ttaannkk · 1 pointr/XVcrosstrek

No crossbars needed. Straps on to the sides. Amazon

u/suicidebunnies · 2 pointsr/XVcrosstrek

I got this one. I did have to lift it because you need to file some of the metal of the frame... would be annoying if not lifted.
