This is the one I'm getting along with a carbon style dbrand skin on the back. I love the glass back however on wood and glass surfaces it slides about the place to easy for my liking.

Rhino Shield screen protector on the front, Ringke Fusion for the rest. Been pretty happy with it so far.

Edit: okay, magnetic adapters. I first got the Deff adapter, which is great for travel because I don't need multiple chargers for phone, tablet, etc. I later got the Z3C Starter Pack posted on one of these subs, from Uhh Accessories because I wanted a dock, and I got an extra magnetic cable from that as well. All of the above work great. The phone+case requires taking the insert out of the dock, and then it rests at a slight angle, but that doesn't seem to affect the contact or the speed of charging.

I use this one, and I find it to be excellent. I never notice that it's even there. I can definitely recommend it.

I'm still not sure which I prefer. I had the Nexus 4 for the last two years, so I have a couple wireless chargers already and really liked their ease of use. I had even mostly made my own DIY charging dock with some Qi circuits that I got on ebay, so I was rather bummed that Sony didn't use the Qi charger. But I liked the Z3 enough that I still took the plunge.

My biggest gripe about the magnetic chargers is like you said, you really have to find a good one. Out of 4 that I've purchased, only 1 is really worth a damn. I found the Magnector X to be the best connector I've come across, although it has to be the cable, not the adapter. The adapter was fine until I put a case on my phone, and now it doesn't fit. I also got a few cheapo Chinese cables that were not worth the $2-3 that I paid. Magnector X has a new adapter that looks to have fixed the clearance issue with cases, but I haven't tried it out.

Well I have 3 cases for this phone. The tech 21 you can from TMo, the Nillkin and the Terrapin

I don't like a ton of protection, I like a minimal case and my favorite is by far the Nillkin for the extra grip it provides with the textured back

Nillkin > Terrapin > Tech 21

I got this one, it doesnt get scratched easily, and it protects the back as well, I love it. I've had two since I got the phone, the first one broke and didn't even leave a mark on the phone itself.

I've got this one on order. They seem to be reviewed well for the other phone makers. The guy who reviewed this one seems pretty worked up about finger prints though.

Seconded, have this one for a few months now and it works great.

I have this which I'm not crazy about but it gets the job done. Had to trim the magnetic port some but that was easy

I've only used one pair of earbuds with it. They're fairly inexpensive Sony headphones, so I kinda expected them to not have issues. (As an aside, they are really nice headphones for their price.) I have used it plugged into my car's AUX port, as well as with the speaker system we have at work. In all 3 cases, sound output is significantly lowered.

This is actually the reason I ended up replacing my z3 after just barely a year. The D6166 is the only z3 model that can't unlock the bootloader and it was abandoned for updates very quickly (other models at least got 6.0).

Since TMobile is GSM, you should check Amazon for unlocked devices since they tend to be cheaper than financing in the long run (assuming $2-300 up front is doable). Something like the Moto G5 Plus should be pretty decent without crippling your bank account.

Sounds like the phone thinks it's in a charging dock like this. When you attach the cable and rotate the phone to landscape, does the lock screen also switch to landscape?
If so, it could be that the phone is just made to assume you're using a dock. I don't see anything in the settings to change that.

I use this while jogging: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00MN2G68S/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

..and it works nicely.

The only prob is that it's hard to press the side power button when the phone is inside the armband. Since I don't need the band to be waterproof (the phone already is), I might stab a hole in the side of the band to make it easier to find the button.
