No, there can't be more than one golden age. That's why it's the Golden Age - and why "golden age" is defined as a period of time when significant, important work was done. What we're in right now is a renaissance period of sorts, or a silver age, if you'd like to stick with the Ages of Man motif.

The golden age of cartooning is already gone, and is widely acknowledged to be the 1920s-60s. For your reading pleasure, here's a pretty long Wikipedia article chronicling the golden age of American animation, and here's io9 discussing why it ended. And, if you'd like to go even deeper, here's a book written about it.

Todd debrecini's book 'special makeup effects for stage and screen: making and applying prosthetics' is an amazing source of information to form a pretty solid knowledge base.

The Adventure Time comics by KaBOOM Studios. They're written by the same guy that does Dinosaur Comics. This is the first volume, which has the first story arch in it which I believe is the first four issues You can buy the individual ones too of course. There are 31 issues thus far.

I've said in this sub before that they're amazing many times, but I won't stop heh.

For the Fiona and Cake fans, of which there certainly are many, there's a spinoff written by Natasha Allegri

There's also a spinoff with Marceline, her band and Princess Bubblegum.

I bought a postcard book that includes a lot of the great ones a while back. If I recall out of 4 books there's one with Title cards, another with comic book covers, another with concept art, and last one with stills from the show.

I made it! :) I have a Wacom Tablet (Intuos 3)... I did check to see if I could just find the font first, but after ~3 minutes of googling I decided to just draw it...

I didn't see any news on Season 2 when I was hunting last night for info on a Blue Ray release.

If you want the full seasons, may I suggest buying them on Amazon through their Instant Video?

They have everything up to the most recent episode, and it's available in either SD or HD.

This episode's story was really similar to the children's book Frederick by Leo Lionni.
